Miyuki is a first year student in Course 1 of First High School. She is the younger sister of Shiba Tatsuya. She is a bloom, which is considered the upper class. She was appointed as the freshmen representative, and is well known throughout the school.  Described as very beautiful, she draws attention everywhere she goes. Yet, she is still modest and kind. 

She has a warm and loving nature, and defends her brother readily. She feels bad about being labelled as a "genius"; she feels that her brother is the real genius. Miyuki feels sad that their father only cares about her, and ignores Tatsuya completely.

The second season of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. 
 
Miyuki Shiba’s classmate Kitayama Shizuku is on her way to study abroad. For magicians, this is normally impossible, since allowing the genes of someone who can use magic outside their home country’s borders is tantamount to giving up national secrets. But it’s allowed to happen in one case—exchange programs. 
 
And that’s how Angelina Kudou Shields, known as Lina, has arrived in Japan from the USNA to study at First High. Around the time Lina arrived in Japan, magicians began getting attacked by a mysterious being who leaves his victims drained of blood. Will Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba be able to discover the identity of the “Vampire”?

In the story, the seasons have changed, and it will soon be the second spring. The poor student older brother Tatsuya and the honor student younger sister Miyuki have finished their first year at their magic high school, and are on their spring break. The two go to their villa on the Ogasawara Island archipelago. After only a small moment of peace, a lone young woman named Kokoa appears before them. She has abandoned the Naval base, and she tells Tatsuya her one wish.
