Mana is Mitsurugi Meiya's personal attendant, as well as her tutor. She is very protective of the Mitsurugi family name, and will not tolerate any disrespect towards them. She tries to help Meiya win over Takeru during her stay with him, both out of duty and because she genuinely cares about Meiya, but because she's also inexperienced in love it can backfire. 

She has a gentle demeanor and always smiles, but when she does lose her temper, her tone changes and she can be terrifying. She has three maids under her command usually the victim of that anger, nicknamed the "Three Idiots".

In Alternative, as a member of a samurai family, Tsukuyomi would eventually become a pilot in the Imperial Royal Guard. Eventually she's assigned as Meiya's personal guard, being present in her life, becoming one of her closest companions and teaching her all that she knew. She retains her fierce loyalty to Meiya, but is far more violent and serious about her duties. Despite that, Meiya objects the special treatment she receives from her. 

She is also an extremely skilled pilot, piloting a red Takemikazuchi and commanding the IRG’s 19th Independent Guard Flight.


A story of the bonds between those who fight, in a world pushed to its limits. In Muv-Luv Alternative, Takeru wakes up three years after the end of Muv-Luv Unlimited to find himself back in his room. Although he first thinks that everything that had happened to him was a dream, he soon feels that something is wrong, and leaves the house to find that he has been sent back in time to the beginning of the events in Unlimited. Unwilling to accept something like Alternative V, he decides to help professor Kouzuki to complete Alternative IV and save mankind.

The second season of Muv-Luv Alternative.

One day Shirogane Takeru wakes up late, wondering why Sumika or Meiya didn't wake him up that morning. Not seeing any signs of them he gets a bit worried, and goes out of his house only to see the town he lived all his life in ruins, and finds a giant robot destroyed outside of his house. After getting past the initial shock he convinces himself that it must be a dream and decides to enjoy it as much as he can. Soon he finds out the terrible truth behind the reason the world is in ruins, and meets people that look exactly like his friends from his original world. 

Takeru and Sumika have been neighbors and friends since they were little, but when a mysterious girl arrives, and is found in bed with Takeru, their daily lives will be thrown into chaos.

Focuses mostly on the past and upbringing of Tsukuyomi Mana, and to a lesser extent, Maya. Showcases their meetings and relationship with Meiya and Yuuhi, and shows their perspective throughout some of the events from Alternative as well. 

Non-canon 4-koma based on the spinoff web game Muv-Luv Strike Frontier. Features characters from Muv-Luv Total Eclipse, Muv-Luv Alternative, Schwarzesmarken, and Strike Frontier. 

A short after story to Meiya's route in Extra. Focuses on overburdened Takeru (and Tsukuyomi) trying to spend some time alone with Meiya.
