Shibata Masami is Masayoshi's older brother. He is kind and caring, always putting others, especially his little brother, before himself. When his and Masayoshi's mother died their father moved with them to Japan, where Masami took it upon himself to take care of his brother and father, often exhausting himself. He met Hagiwara Tooru at that time, who he developed feelings for.

His and Masayoshi's father is Japanese, while their mother, who died when the brothers were young, was Norwegian. Their father lives in Norway with their grandmother, while the brothers live together in Japan.

Atsushi Arisawa enrolled at Jougaouka High School in order to reunite with his childhood crush; Ma-chan, who is now the school's nurse. Strangely, Ma-chan's previously sweet personality seems to have radically changed beyond all recognition. Things are even more complicated when Atsushi's friend, Kouji, tries to put the moves on him. Atsushi just wants Ma-chan though, so perhaps if he gets to know the new, adult Ma-chan, he will find he is not so bad after all. But wait a minute...his name isn't Masami, but Masayoshi?

Add to the fact that Atsushi's friend, Kouji Inagaki is totally in love and constantly trying to make-out with him, Atsushi's life at Jougaoka is hell..until he starts thinking that maybe the new Ma-chan isn't so bad afterall and that, maybe he actually likes the way Ma-chan is now. Until of course, he finds out that Masayoshi isn't Masami.
