An old Taiko drum brought to life by the Great Soul. Don and Katsu were tasked by the Great Soul to spread the spirit of the Japanese Taiko Drum around the world.

Kotaro is an average young boy, and like many kids his age, he enjoys the latest childhood craze of playing with slime. One day, the slime randomly turns into an adorable girl who he names Puniru. Though cute, her stubbornness and constant need for attention get on his nerves. It’s like having a goopy little sister! Just when the two settle into their not-so-normal life, the granddaughter of Kyuthi Land’s founder arrives. A series of four minute claymation shows. Each episode shows the different antics of the various Taiko no Tatsujin characters.

Toshio Suzuki and Studio Ghibli produced the short to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Taiko no Tatsujin (Taiko: Drum Master) rhythm game series. The short features Taiko no Tatsujin characters Don-chan and Kacchan, as well as an original mouse character. The short will also be broadcast as a TV ad later.
