He is the FBI director and a member of the SPK.  He helped L in the Kira's investigation sending FBI agents to Japan but gave up after all the agents were killed by Kira. He was too a leading Near's employees who helped to convince the U.S. President to form the SPK.   ~!Later, along with other members of the SPK, he was killed by Mafia who used the Death Note (by Jack Neylon from Mello's orders) to show that Mello was better than Near. !~

1. Genshisuru Kami (Visions of a God) 
A two hour episode of Death Note, mainly a compilation of the confrontations between Light and L, re-edited from Ryuk's perspective with new dialogue and soundtrack along with additional animation that could not be included in the original series. An Unnamed Shinigami comes to Ryuk to question him about his new story in the human world. 
2. Eru o Tsugu Mono (L's Successors) 
This story continues where the previous left off, continuing the story of Light. As the previous special told Light and L's battles, this story does the same with the conflicts between Light, Mello, and Near.

John Novak is an actor and anime voice actor who frequently does voice work for the Ocean Group based in Vancouver, Canada.    He has also starred in the Wishmaster sequels Wishmaster 3: Beyond The Gates Of Hell, and Wishmaster; The Prophecy Fulfilled replacing Andrew Divoff as The Djinn.    He appeared twice in the TV series Sliders as a shyster lawyer, Ross J. Kelly.    He most recently starred as the Sheriff in Bloodrayne 2: Deliverance.    Novak is probably best known, in Canada at least, from Kokanee beer commercials, as he plays the Park Ranger who is constantly trying to prevent the Kokanee Sasquatch from stealing the beer.
