Excel Saga is a one-of-a kind work of art that can only be described as the ultimate parody of anime. From the opening credits - a rather odd spoof of Japanese pop videos - to the ending song featuring Menchi the dog singing/barking a plaintive ballad while a human interpreter translates for viewers, nothing is sacred in the world of Excel Saga.<br>

Yumiko Kobayashi is a Japanese voice actress. Previously affiliated with Arts Vision until August 2007, she now works as a freelance. She announced her marriage on April 7, 2006 and has 2 children.

Part of the seiyuu unit __Prits__ for the anime [Sister Princess](https://anilist.co/anime/836/Sister-Princess/) with other members [Natsuko Kuwatani](https://anilist.co/staff/95136), [Hisayo Mochizuki](https://anilist.co/staff/95393), and [Nana Mizuki](https://anilist.co/staff/95081/Nana-Mizuki). The group has been inactive since 2002, although various reunions have occurred.

Took over the voice role of [Shinnosuke Nohara](https://anilist.co/character/2951) on long-running series [Crayon Shin-chan](https://anilist.co/anime/966) from [Akiko Yajima](https://anilist.co/staff/95148) starting July 6, 2018.

Her sister, [Barbara de Bortoli](https://anilist.co/staff/95763/), is a popular Italian voice actress too. She dubbed [Kagome Higurashi](https://anilist.co/character/1354/Kagome-Higurashi) (from "Inuyasha") for the first 26 episodes, then contractual questions forced dubbing staff of Dynamic Italia to change casting roles and give her one to [Maria Letizia Scifoni](https://anilist.co/staff/96676/).
