Master is a female employee of the Horse's Bone bookstore. 

She received her nickname "Master" when she first announced to the others her dream of surpassing a master mangaka one day. Master is actually a doujinshi mangaka in her spare time, drawing and writing under the pen name Jona Taro - who Umio is a big fan of. 

Appearance-wise she wears glasses and has long black hair. She lives alone in an apartment.

The "youthful bookstore comedy" revolves around the folks who work in a manga shop deep in a certain "Electric Town" neighborhood. ("Denki-Gai" or "Electric Town" is a popular name for shopping areas that specialize or used to specialize in electric and electronic items, like Tokyo's Akihabara.) The protagonist Umio works part-time at "BOOKS Umanohone" along with his senior at work (but not in age) Hiotan. As many dedicated manga fans visit the store, there is always something going on.

Umio is a shy kid who just started his part time job at a manga store smack dab in the middle of the city. But his lifestyle isn&rsquo;t as glamorous as the neon lights that illuminate the city. Umio&rsquo;s closest friends are his co-workers who are all unique characters, to say the least, and although they're nice people, they have their quirks.
