Suddenly, a UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) of the Vega Alliance appeared on Earth. Humanity is helpless in the face of Vega's overwhelming military might, but then "Mazinger Z" operated by Kouji Kabuto, and "Grendizer" piloted by Duke Fleed, appear on the scene. Why did Duke Fleed, the prince of the planet Fleed, come to earth? What kind of life did he spend in his homeland?

Following a devastating attack by Vega's forces on planet Fleed, Duke Fleed, and Grendizer escaped to Earth. When he got there, Dr. Amon, the head of the Space Research Center, adopted him and gave him the name Daisuke. While they were working side by side in the center on a quest to find out what strange objects appeared in the city's sky! They were surprised by an attack that jolted Daisuke's memory.

Although similar in name to the Go Nagai work, this version by Gosaku Outa is vastly different from Nagai's work.
