This version of Onisarashi-hen is told through the eyes of Minai Tomoe, a policewoman who is investigating the strange occurrences happening all over Japan. Akasaka Mamoru and Ooishi Kuraudo are present in this chapter, as well as Tomoe's younger sister, Minai Madoka who is also a police officer, and another male officer, Fujita Shingo.

Utsutsukowashi is a manga-only scenario featuring mostly different characters from those in the scenarios from the games with a few exceptions. It focuses on Kousaka Mizuho, Sonozaki Shion and the murders happening at their school. Note: Includes 2 extra chapters that both include characters from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Onisarashi-hen, in particular the second one is an epilogue for Onisarashi-hen, dissimilar to the epilogue present in that entry.
