Siegfried Kircheis was an Imperial high admiral who was most notable for his role as the best friend and personal confidant of [Reinhard von Lohengramm](https://anilist.co/character/3066/Reinhard-von-Lohengramm) since childhood, who later became his top admiral. Often referred to as Reinhard's "shadow," Lohengramm viewed Kircheis as a part of himself. Kircheis was frequently present with Reinhard throughout their military career while rising through the ranks of the Imperial Fleet, following him from assignment to assignment, before reaching the admiral ranks himself in 796 UC. Although some regarded him as being the blond admiral's "henchman," Kircheis demonstrated himself to be a highly competent admiral in his own right during the Castrop Rebellion and the Free Planets Alliance's attempted invasion of the Empire.

For decades, the Galactic Empire has been locked in an interstellar war with the Free Planets Alliance, a conflict that involves thousands of spaceships and millions of soldiers on both sides. Two new commanders enter the conflict with great hopes: Imperial Admiral Reinhard von Lohengramm and the FPA's Yang Wen-Li. As they deal with superiors and subordinates, maneuver through complicated political arrangements, plot strategies, and win battles, each will be tested, and ultimately, changed, by the reality of war.

Clifford Samuel Chapin IV is an American voice actor and director at Funimation.

Chapin is known for his roles in anime and video games, such as Ichijo Takayanagi from Red Data Girl, Connie Springer from Attack on Titan, Shingo Wakamoto from Prison School, Kukulkan in Smite, Hideyoshi Nagachika from Tokyo Ghoul, Yuri Dreyar from Fairy Tail, and Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia. Chapin won the VNs Now award Best Male VA of 2013 for his role of David Sawicki in Yousei by Sakevisual. This movie, based on an anecdote of "Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu" written by novelist Tanaka Yoshiki, preludes the 110-episodes TV series by describing the first encounter between the ambitious young man Reinhard von Museal under the imperial flag and the passive Yang Wenli who serves a corrupting democracy. Set in an imaginative future, the story describes the first encounter between Yang and Reinhard and discusses how heroes are born.
