Kanon is a character with a substantial importance in the universe of Kurumada's manga, and therefore in its anime adaptation. He is directly responsible for triggering two main events :   ~!the battle of the 12 temples and the resurrection of Poseidon, Emperor of the Seas. Also, Kanon is notable for redeeming himself after all his sins in the past and wreaking havoc as the new Gemini Gold Saint against the army of the 108 Specters in the battle against Hades.!~   ~!Kanon is the younger twin brother of gold saint Gemini Saga, and later took up his position as a Gold Saint after Saga's death. Before finally embracing his destiny as the Gemini Saint, Kanon masqueraded as the Sea Dragon General, one of Poseidon's seven Sea Generals.  At first, Kanon was depicted as a treacherous man, always tempting his twin brother to use his status and power to advance his status of influence beyond that of a Gold Saint. He concluded that their amazing and powerful abilities were gifts from the Gods for them to take advantage of. Much to his dismay, his brother opposed this and caused his incarceration at Cape Junion. After his redemption, however, Kanon becomes a much centered person, much like his brother.  Kanon was the one person responsible for Poseidon's awakening, although he kept Poseidon just half awakened so that he could pose as the true leader of the Marines as a Marine General and use Poseidon's army to achieve his desires. In order to do so, Kanon stole the scales of Sea Dragon and pretented to be the Sea Dragon General under Poseidon's order.!~   ~!Even after joining forces with the Athena, Kanon retains his ruthless personality and harsh characteristics scolding Pegasus Seiya and Andromeda Shun that they should never hesitate to finish their enemies, because their hesitation is a weakness that their enemies would take advantage of. Ages ago, the goddess Athena was served by fighters called Saints who channeled the power of the Cosmos within them. Now a youth named Seiya has trained to become a Saint himself by earning the mystical Cloth of Pegasus. He is joined by other Saints with Cloths of their own to fight for Athena.

Mario Castañeda is a Mexican voice actor and dubbing director. When he was very young, his parents moved to Mexico City where he resides currently. He studied drama in the Andrés Soler Institute from 1979 to 1982, and in June 1983, Castañeda started to work as a voice actor in Mexican dubs of several television series including Diff'rent Strokes, The Powers of Matthew Star, and Visitors. Castañeda has also done voice work in Japanese anime as well as the dubbing voice of many actors in movies, including Jim Carrey, Jackie Chan and Bruce Willis.

In Greek mythology, Athena, the daughter of Zeus, was born in full armor. By birthright the goddess of battle, she did not believe in conquest, and only fought defensive wars. Her battles with bloodthirsty gods and giants shook the very earth and seemed to last forever. On the battlefield, there were a group of youths that always surrounded and protected the goddess: the Knights of Athena! Flash forward to modern-day Greece: two Japanese tourists are shocked to see a mansized meteorite crash to the earth before them. It turns out to be young Seiya. Hades is planning to take over the world, to achieve that goal, he sends out deceased Gold Saints to take Athena's head. Seiya and the other Bronze Saints come to help but their help isn't appreciated by the remaining Gold Saints that are still alive.

**Francisco Javier Rivero Pichardo** is a Mexican voice actor. He's known for being the Latin American Spanish voice of Cow in _Cow and Chicken_, Mung Daal in _Chowder_ and Jar Jar Binks  in _Star Wars_.
He's the recurring dub voice of Jack Black.

The Champion RED magazine teases the story as a prequel to Saint Seiya, with a conspiracy brewing under the shadow of rival brothers Saga and Kanon, and a new mystery being unraveled.

The sanctuary is exhausted after the battle against the Lord of Darkness Hades.
 
In the absence of Seiya and the others, the land was about to meet its end in the wrath of the goddess Nemesis!
 
At that moment, the Emperor of the Sea Poseidon awakens to Hades' call and, together with the Seven Marina Generals challenges Nemesis and their Heroic Souls who serve her in battle!

This story takes place before the beginning of the war with Poseidon's army, focusing on Kanon's perspective of the events.
