An amiable person whose biggest forte is communication. Currently serving as Yumenosaki Academy's Student Council President. Mao is cheerful and sociable, but has a tendency to involve himself in the troubles of others. With an encouraging, easy-going singing voice, his performances are energetic and full of flair.

He is usually very friendly and outgoing to anyone he talks to, although he also acts as the rational mediator when things are getting too out of hand. Mao also readily accepts most work, even if it goes beyond what he's physically capable of doing alone. Although this passionate, hard-working attitude is one of his strong suits, many of his faults lie in it as well.

The "idol-training game" takes place at a private boys' idol-training school with a history of turning out many great talents in show business. The protagonist is the school's lone female student who transfers to the school because of a special situation, and enters the school's producer department.

David Anthony Matranga is an American voice actor from Houston, Texas. He works primarily for English dubbed anime for Funimation and Sentai Filmworks.

The story takes place in a world where fantastic beasts called "Spirals" are born from isolation. Those who can defeat the beasts are called "Periods." Haru is an apprentice Period who belongs to the Arc End 8th Branch. However, after a mysterious theft incident, there is an economic collapse, and the Arc End headquarters abandons the 8th Division, leaving only three Periods left, including Haru. Haru and the other two Periods start their work to rebuild the 8th Division.

Ensemble Square - a brand new building in the middle of the city where countless people come and go. It’s home to four offices belonging to idols who spend their days singing and dancing. Films starring the Ensemble Square idols have been nominated for the Idol Film Festival (IFF), an annual festival held in New York City, and representative idols are selected to attend. The boys jet off to NYC to attend the festival and reception party, and afterward, head out on the town to see the sights and sounds. But a suspicious shadow is creeping up on them…
