Emily is one of the students who attends the Magic School. She is easily startled and displays a meek personality. She is shy but friendly, and enjoys spending time with the others. She has a fear of heights, but gradually learns to overcome it. Her dream is to be a hairdresser and stylist. 

Mirai Asahina, a 13-year-old girl who's going into her second year of middle school, witnesses a mysterious object fall in to the park. Excitedly, she brings her stuffed bear Mofurun with her to see what it was. When she gets there she sees a girl named Riko flying on a broom. Mirai has a lot of questions, and Riko explains that she's searching for something. The two of them are wearing similar pendants. Then Batti, an ally of the dark magic user Dokurokushi, appears before them and demands the "Link Stone Emerald." Batti creates a monster called a "Yokubaru" and drives them into a corner. Mirai, Riko, and Mofurun join hands and speak the magic words "Cure-Up Rapapa," their pendants glow, and they become the legendary Precure.

Hashimoto was inspired to become a voice actress after watching a concert held by the cast of the anime television series Di Gi Charat. Although her parents initially disapproved of her plans, partly as a joke, she enrolled at a voice acting school operated by the agency VIMS. She made her voice acting debut as Mitsuki Kanzaki, the lead character of the 2014 anime television series Recently, My Sister Is Unusual.

Mirai Asahina, a very curious 13-year-old girl with a love for mysterious things, met a young witch named Liko during spring break.
Led by miracles and magic, Mirai and Liko both transformed into the Legendary Witch "Precures"! 
Working together with Mirai's treasured teddy bear Mofurun and Ha-chan, a fairy born from the "Linkle Smartbook", they tried to repel the chaos that was encroaching upon the "Magic World" and "Magicless World (Human World)". However, that involved the separation of everyone. 

After being miraculously reunited a few years later, Mirai and the others begin to take steps towards their futures in their respective worlds. Mirai is a college student in the Magicless World. Liko, who returned to the Magic World, is a teacher at the Magic School. Mofurun, as always, is at Mirai's side. Ha-chan exists far away, watching over the world. 

However, a new disaster threatening the Magic and Magicless worlds has appeared... 
Due to signs of the coming disaster, Mirai and Liko reunite for the first time in months. While attempting to resist this mysterious enemy, they both come face to face with not only their past, but their future. With the magical words "Cure Up RaPaPa!", their exciting tale is once again set into motion!

Mirai and friends go to the Magical World to celebrate the Wishing Stone Festival, a once a century gathering where the titular stone grants one lucky customer's wish. When Mirai and Mofurun are seperated by a mysterious bear wizard, Mofurun's wish is granted and hijinks ensue.

To make things worse, Batti uses dark magic to create a monster known as a Yokubaru! Mirai and Riko join hands and with the magic words "Cure-up Rapapa!" they transform into the legendary Pretty Cure.
