Waninoko is a bipedal, crocodilian Pokémon with well-developed jaws. It has red eyes with ridges above them, black markings around its eyes, and several sharp teeth. On its chest is a yellow, V-shaped marking that extends to its arms; there is a thin line through the center of the marking. Waninoko has five fingers and three toes. Down its back is a row of three red spines with a small, red ridge on either side. The tip of its tail has a single red spine as well. Waninoko tends to be playful by nature and has a habit of biting anything it sees, including its Trainer. However, its jaws are capable of crushing anything, so it sometimes causes serious injuries. Waninoko is scarce in the wild, though it can be found around bodies of water like rivers, ponds, and lakes.

A young boy named Satoshi embarks on a journey to become a "Pokémon Master" with his first Pokémon, Pikachu. Joining him on his travels are Takeshi, a girl-obsessed Rock Pokemon Trainer, and Kasumi, a tomboyish Water Pokémon Trainer who may have a crush on him. Satoshi and Co. end up traveling through various regions, including Kanto, the Orange Islands, and Johto, and then enter the Pokémon League competitions there. Along the way, they run into many confrontations with Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyarth, a trio of Pokémon thieves who are apart of an evil organization called "Team Rocket". But everytime Team Rocket try to do their evil deeds, they fail thanks to Satoshi and his Pokémon.

An American voice actress best known for her work on animated television series, including more than 50 roles in Pokémon. Other notable roles include Pie Tin in Fighting Foodons, Tuff in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, Doozle in Tama and Friends, Koby in One Piece, and Sara Ringwalt in Now and Then, Here and There. Rogers has also appeared as the voice of Chicky the Kid Chicken for KFC, a talking teddy bear for FAO Schwarz, and as a bungee-jumping gum pellet for Trident White.  

Kayzie says she has been "doing funny voices for as long as she can remember". She caught the acting bug early on, relishing her performances in school plays from kindergarten through college. Rogers's first media job was as an NBC page in Rockefeller Center. She then moved on to a successful graphic arts career, but her dream of working as a professional actor remained a constant. With the help of vocal coach Maddie Blaustein, Kayzie made her first cartoon-voice demo and was almost immediately discovered. She was cast as a bratty little kid in a tolerance PSA. It was produced by cartoonist, animator, writer and businessman Joe Young (Scruples), starred Richie Havens, and featured music by Stevie Wonder. Her first TV series was Nickelodeon's U2U. Kayzie played "all the high pitched voices for the cartoons" (Jerry Lobozzo voiced all the deep ones). Kayzie Rogers is best known for her inventive and wacky portrayals as well as her wide vocal and emotional range. In addition to voice acting, Kayzie teaches workshops and performs for charities.

After defeating Brandon and declining the offer to be a Frontier Brain, Ash sets off to travel through the far away land of Sinnoh. Once he gets there, he meets up with Hikari, a local trainer from the region, and they decide to travel together.

Mezase Pokémon Master celebrates the final chapter in Satoshi and Pikachu's story, with their first companions and many Pokémon they have met throughout their journeys making their return.

Born Elisabeth "Lisa" Ortiz. Based in New York, New York, United States. Before she became a voice actor, Lisa Ortiz was in the 1991 teen TV show Hillside (aka Fifteen), and was cast as Liz in the 4th season of Hillside. She also starred alongside Enuka Okuma (who later voiced Lady Une in Gundam Wing) and a young Ryan Reynolds (the Hollywood celebrity).

After their encounter with Team Plasma, Satoshi, Iris and Dent start a new journey in the Decolore Islands.

The manga is based on the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness games.
 
The story revolves around Honō, an amnesiac human who wakes up as a Chimchar. He meets a cowardly Totodile, and together, they form Team Blaze.
