Cassios is the apprentice and saint in training under Ophiuchus Shaina. He's the younger brother of Docrates.  During the fight for the Pegasus cloth, Seiya cut off one of his ears and he hated Seiya ever since.  ~!Casios has great respect and affection toward Shaina, however he realize that Shaina has affection toward Seiya. Motivated by this fact, he takes Seiya's place and dies during the fight with Leo Aiolia, in order to wake Aiolia from the control of Saga's Genrō Maō Ken.!~

Ages ago, the goddess Athena was served by fighters called Saints who channeled the power of the Cosmos within them. Now a youth named Seiya has trained to become a Saint himself by earning the mystical Cloth of Pegasus. He is joined by other Saints with Cloths of their own to fight for Athena.

In Greek mythology, Athena, the daughter of Zeus, was born in full armor. By birthright the goddess of battle, she did not believe in conquest, and only fought defensive wars. The curtain for Galatic War has been cut open. During the death battle between the Saints, Phoenix, the Black Saint, suddenly appeared on the scene and runs off with Gold Cloth in front of a full house in his ambition to become ruler of the world. Seiya and his fellow bronze cloth warriors go after Phoenix and his "Shadow Army" to retrieve the lost Gold Cloth...
