Bagdash is a commander in the Alliance forces. During the battle at the Doria starzone, he &quot;deserted&quot; the National Salvation Military Council (which had staged a coup d&#039;&eacute;tat on the planet Heinessen).    Though he had originally been operating under assassination orders, he instead requested to serve in Yang&#039;s fleet after seeing the defeat of his comrades. His presence was met with suspicion and animosity, especially from Julian.    Unsurprisingly, Bagdash considers surviving to be of greater importance than ideals or principles.

For decades, the Galactic Empire has been locked in an interstellar war with the Free Planets Alliance, a conflict that involves thousands of spaceships and millions of soldiers on both sides. Two new commanders enter the conflict with great hopes: Imperial Admiral Reinhard von Lohengramm and the FPA's Yang Wen-Li. As they deal with superiors and subordinates, maneuver through complicated political arrangements, plot strategies, and win battles, each will be tested, and ultimately, changed, by the reality of war. <br><br>
