Li-en is a young kung-fu expert and the daughter of a Chinese crime boss named Li Pakron. Her partner is Wonrei.

Kiyo is a brilliant junior high student whose inflated ego (and tendency to blow the grading curve) has made him a major target for teasing at school. So his father sends him a bizarre birthday present – a strange little boy named Zatch Bell – to help him make friends and reform his bad attitude. Zatch brings with him a mysterious red volume of spells, and Kiyo discovers that Zatch has magic powers that are unleashed by reading from the book! Gwendoline See-Hian Yeo was born in Singapore, Gwendoline is the niece of George Yeo, Singapore's Minister for Foreign Affairs. She moved to California as a teenager, graduating (with honors) from St. Ignatius College Preparatory in 1994. She received her BA from UCLA before the age of 20, graduating summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa as well as receiving a diploma in Classical Piano from the esteemed San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her love of music led her to specialize in playing the traditional Chinese instrument, guzheng, which culminated in a one woman radio show on NPR-KCRW. It also included the debut of her first two zither/vocal tracks "Kiss My Grits" and "Lovers." Gwendoline was crowned Miss Chinatown USA in 1998-1999 which led her to hosting and commercials. From there, her television and film careers blossomed.
   
She is the voice actress of Paine in Final Fantasy X-2 and Kingdom Hearts II. She also voices Lady Deathstrike in X-Men: Next Dimension, Mercy Graves in The Batman, Li-en in Zatch Bell!, and Lieutenant Keiko Tanaka in an episode of What's New, Scooby Doo?.    She has appeared in the films Daughters of Joy, Night Skies, and The Perfect Girl. In the film Broken Trail, she played "Sun Foy" and was called "number three" by Robert Duvall's character. In 2007, she played Dr. Samantha Yep in The Jane Austen Book Club.

During the Summer holidays, Gash and gang decide to head for Fuji Mountain for a picnic gathering. There, they encounter a girl with a white magical book. Her name is Kotoha and her book has a message saying that Gash's mother is located a cave in the forest. However, when they eventually found the cave, there was already a blond-haired youth by the name of Wiseman. In order to rescue Wiseman, Gash and the others attempt to proceed into the depths of the cave and stumble upon the entrance to another world. Soon enough, the strongest warrior, the Black Knight, appeared before them. Thinking that Gash was the one who stole the 101st magical book, the Black Knight started to attack them. Gash and Kiyomaro have to find the real criminal in exactly 24 hours, or else they will be stuck in the alternative world forever.
