Flint first appeared in Showdown in Pewter City. Ash and Misty met Flint, who was selling rocks as souvenirs. Ash bragged about his goal to become a Pok&eacute;mon Master, but Flint told Ash that thinking he could defeat Brock, the Pewter City gym leader was foolish.    After the match, which Ash lost, Flint brought him home and talked with Ash about Brock. Flint took him to Brock&#039;s house and revealed that Brock had nine younger siblings that he constantly had to take care of, because his father left to become a Pok&eacute;mon Trainer. He never returned, as did his mother.    Flint decided to help Ash in his gym battle and hooked Pikachu to a hydro-electric dam to increase its strength. After the gym battle, Flint showed up and revealed himself to be Brock&#039;s father. He had failed to become a successful Pok&eacute;mon Trainer and couldn&#039;t face Brock and his siblings. As Brock wanted to travel with Ash, he left the Gym Leader position and the duty of being head of the family to Flint.    Flint met Brock again in A Family That Battles Together, Stays Together! when he returned to Pewter City after traveling through Kanto, Johto, and the Orange Archipelago. Brock scolded Flint for not taking care of the Gym. An embarrassed Flint explained that that he had just got the Gym set up the way he liked it when Brock&#039;s mother returned. Flint took Brock back to the Gym, which had been redecorated. Flint closed it because he couldn&#039;t stand it anymore.    Lola and Flint had a rematch for the title of Gym Leader, which he lost. Fortunately, Brock was able to beat his mother. Flint and Lola then agreed to change the Gym to specialize in a combination of Water-types and Rock-types.    It was revealed that Flint gave Brock his first Pok&eacute;mon, an Onix, for a birthday present.    [credit to bulbapedia]

A young boy named Satoshi embarks on a journey to become a "Pokémon Master" with his first Pokémon, Pikachu. Joining him on his travels are Takeshi, a girl-obsessed Rock Pokemon Trainer, and Kasumi, a tomboyish Water Pokémon Trainer who may have a crush on him. Satoshi and Co. end up traveling through various regions, including Kanto, the Orange Islands, and Johto, and then enter the Pokémon League competitions there. Along the way, they run into many confrontations with Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyarth, a trio of Pokémon thieves who are apart of an evil organization called "Team Rocket". But everytime Team Rocket try to do their evil deeds, they fail thanks to Satoshi and his Pokémon.

**Trond Teigen** is a Norwegian actor, singer and voice actor.

He started his career with the play *Treasure Island* at the Chateau Neuf in 1989, where he later also played Tony in *West Side Story* and Charley in *Charley's Aunt*. Here he also starred in *Hello Dolly, Sweet Charity* and *Oliver*.

At *Det Norske Teatret* in Oslo, Trond has appeared in *Sweeney Todd, Guten og Stjerna, Carousel, Musical Musikal, Black Rider, Piaf, An-Magritt, The Threepenny Opera, Which Witch, Norge-Brasil* and *Evita* among other things.

Trond has also starred in various plays at other theaters, including Annie at *Bryggeteatret*, Kjøpmannen i Venezia at *Teatret Vårt*, Tolvskillingsoperaen at *Hålogaland Teater*, Sofies Verden at *Fornebu*, Guys and Dolls and Jul i Blåfjell at *Oslo Nye Teater*, MAMMA MIA, My fair lady and Phantom of the Opera at *Folketeatret*, Skjønnheten og Udyret at *Christiania Teater* and last but not least played the role of Marius in Les Misérables in Karlstad and Malmö.

Trond has starred in various Norwegian live action films and TV series as well, including *Tre på toppen, Mot i brøstet, Holms, Detective Downs, Hotel Cæsar, Occupied, Quiet by the river, Rosemari, Valkyrien, Seven, 22. juli, Bloodride, Norsk-ish and Atlantic Crossing.*

He has also lent his voice to countless cartoon characters; Disney's Aladdin, Captain Shang in Mulan, Beymax in Big Hero 6, Marvel's Iron-Man and SpongeBob to name a few. Trond has appeared on several recordings and released the solo album Distant Shores in 2005.

After participating in the Johto League, Ash decides to begin anew in yet another journey; this time by himself and Pikachu, in the land of Hoenn. Though he isn't alone for long, as 10-year-old May (whom dislikes Pokemon, but just wants to come along to see the world) travels with him after Pikachu destroys her bicycle. Ash also meets up with his old companion, Brock, and May's younger brother, Max. Together, they travel along in Hoenn, battling Gym Leaders, entering Contests, and other events on the way to the Hoenn League.
