Tieria seems rather stoic and distant, although also proud and arrogant. Constantly believing he has the best interests of Celestial Being in mind, he rarely acts out of impulse, and has little patience for the impertinent. To this end, he often clashes verbally with the other Gundam Meisters, as well as their "superior", Sumeragi Lee Noriega, on topics ranging from insubordination to ideology. Tieria is often noted for being on an extremely high horse, looking down upon others.

Tieria also shows an unnatural loyalty to Veda, the supercomputer of Celestial Being, which Tieria can directly interface with. This link between Tieria and Veda can explain Tieria's holier-than-thou attitude, and his belief that he is a judge of the members of Celestial Being. Tieria is shown to also be rather intelligent, and capable of making competent snap decisions. This direct connection with Veda permits him to know more about Celestial Being than his fellow Meisters.

At the start of the series, he has an extremely rocky relationship with Setsuna; the former does not understand why the latter was chosen by Veda as a Gundam Meister, and believes Setsuna's brash actions and random insubordination will breach the code of secrecy of Celestial Being. However, Tieria eventually found common ground with Setsuna in their vehement dislike of Team Trinity, even going so far as to back him up when he decides to combat them; this unexpected move, along with the teamwork strategies used in the battle, surprises the rest of Celestial Being.


~!Recently, cracks in Tieria's cold exterior have become prominent, showing a softer and more vulnerable side that contrasts greatly with the emotionless and superior Meister he seemed to be. After Lockon Stratos is injured protecting them from an enemy attack, Tieria displays a great amount of guilt and remorse. He angrily blames himself for Lockon's injury, even going so far as to call himself unfit to be a Gundam Meister. Lockon comforts him, yet afterwards when Tieria regains his composure he reverts back to his old habit of snapping at his comrades.

When UN Army forces attacked the Meisters, Tieria locked Lockon in a room to prevent him from entering the battle, saying to Allelujah that he will protect Lockon, just as Lockon himself had saved him. They become increasingly concerned when Lockon manages to join the fight, and later when he disappears chasing Ali Al-Saachez. Just like the other Meisters, he is seen crying when he realizes Lockon has been killed. Following the return of the three remaining Meisters to the Ptolemaios, Tieria takes his anger out on Setsuna, blaming his being "slow" as the reason for Lockon's death. Seeing this, Sumeragi breaks up the fight by promptly slapping Tieria across the face. Shortly afterwards, as Nadleeh is being repaired, Tieria vows to Allelujah that he will fight back for Lockon's sake, despite the former's warning.

Soon after entering battle with the force of GN-X units plus Alejandro Corner's mobile armour, Alvatore, Tieria activates Nadleeh's Trans-Am system; however, Nadleeh soon loses a limb and the Trans-Am is deactivated, leaving it vulnerable to the two GN-X units that attack it, one of them being piloted by Patrick Colasour. The two fire at each other simultaneously; while Tieria's shot destroys the GN-X and disables Patrick, Nadleeh is reduced to a mere torso.  Tieria is last seen in the cockpit of the Nadleeh, struggling to eject its GN Drive before losing consciousness, saying he is "going to where Lockon is".  However, Tieria is confirmed to appear in season 2, piloting the Seravee Gundam.!~

It is the year A.D. 2307. Fossil fuels on Earth have been depleted entirely, with mankind turning to the next available power source: solar energy. During this time, 3 orbital elevators with solar power generation systems are built, each under control by the Union (formerly United States of America), the Human Reformist Alliance (Russia, China and India) and the AEU (Europe). However, not all countries are able to enjoy the benefits of this system, leading to widespread resentment and war. Arising out of the conflict, a mysterious non-profit military organization known as Celestial Being appears, dedicated to end all warfare using Mobile Suits called Gundam. This begins the stories of Gundam Meisters (pilots) Setsuna F. Seiei, Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism and Tieria Erde as they are thrown into conflict between the 3 superpowers and the other various factions.

Four years have passed since the final battle between Celestial Being and the UN Forces. Humanity, having established the Earth Sphere Federation, forms an independent security preservation force, A-Laws, separate from the formal Federation army to further unify nations and the will of mankind. But the reality was the inhumane oppression of misuse of powers, doctrines, and ideologies in the name of unity. 
Saji Crossroad has followed the path to becoming a space engineer to keep his promise to Louise Halevy, who in turn was compelled to become involved in Federation government reform and joined A-Laws as a mobile suit pilot during the four-year gap. 
Meanwhile, Setsuna F. Seiei, having survived the climactic battle four years ago, witnessed a change in the world due to the actions of Celestial Being. With the defeat of Alejandro Corner, he dreamed of a peaceful world without conflict; but before his own eyes was the reality of the continuing strain on peace, the oppression caused by A-Laws. Announced at GUNDAM.INFO's "GUNDAM FIGURES LIVE!!!" live stream, the new anime project will reveal anecdotes, unresolved mysteries, and stories to fill-in gaps not explored between the TV anime's first and second seasons of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. 

Setsuna F. Seiei successfully solved the conflict in Azadistan. However, for Celestial Being that was only a temporary intervention. Meanwhile, the world worked in secret on a counterattack plan in retaliation: Celestial Being through their "Double Drive" research, further strengthening Gundam Technology.

The story takes place in unnamed timeline, where humanity has highly advanced technology. However, the human population is decreasing and it seems that they're on their way to extinction.

They work on a Jupiter base called "Jupiter X", using "General Answer" (or "GA") which contains a massive repository of data about the alternate history of Humanity, Leos travels to the Earths' of the alternate timelines in an effort to collect data that might give them a hint for the evolution of mankind.

It shares its name with another Gundam 00 manga drawn by Kouzoh Ohmari and published by Kadokawa. 
The two series essentially follow the plot of the anime, however they vary both in artistic style and in the sequence of events that take place. 
The first volume was published on 17th January 2008, and at present the series has reached four volumes.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Aoi Kioku deals with Gundam Meister pilots' memories 
The August issue (on sale on June 26) of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Gundam Ace magazine has launched Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Aoi Kioku (Blue Memories), Tar&#333; Shiguma's new manga series based on the Gundam 00 anime television series. 
The magazine summarizes how the manga will deal with the lives of the Gundam Meister pilots by saying, "The present and the past&hellip;fiction and memories&hellip;the true selves of the boys will be revealed." 
The first installment, "Memory: 1 Setsuna," covers the memories of the main protagonist Setsuna's early childhood.
