Known as the Revolutionary Dragon, he is the world's most wanted criminal, and another one of the several characters given the middle initial "D". He has had his revolutionary ideas spread throughout the world and has taken several nations. He is also the only member of the D. family to look serious, partly due to his strange facial mark. Despite being an enemy to the World Government, he still keeps contact with his father.  Before the start of the series, Dragon left Luffy in Garp's care. Dragon first appears after a lightning bolt suddenly destroys the gallows where Luffy was to be executed by Buggy the Clown and then saves Luffy from being captured by Captain Smoker. When he saved Luffy from Smoker, a mighty gust of eerie wind swept through Loguetown. It is undetermined whether or not he was the cause behind the gust of wind or the lightning; however, the story leads to believe there is more to him than it seems. Recently, he has taken over an island in the South Blue and is about to head to the North Blue when he commented, after noticing Luffy's newest bounty, given to him after invading Enies Lobby, that father and son will meet sometime soon.!~

The anime will explore the childhood bond between Luffy, Ace and Sabo.

The novel will center on the heroines of the One Piece's world. The first four chapters were later compiled into a single novel which released on June 4, 2021, focusing on Nami, Robin, Vivi, and Perona respectively. The fifth chapter is focused on Hancock, while the sixth focusses on Tashigi. The seventh chapter is focused on Uta.

One Piece Strong World 0 is a one-shot story published in Weekly Shounen Jump as a special prologue chapter to the 10th One Piece movie, Strong World. This one-shot depicts events 20 years before the current timeline of the manga, One Piece. The main focus is the relationship between Shiki, the Golden Lion and Roger, the Pirate King. In addition, it shows what other characters were doing 20 years ago.
