Nepgear is the human form of Purple Sister and also the little sister of Neptune. She first appears in mk2 and in the Manga.  In contrast to Neptune's hyper active and energetic behavior, Nepgear is a very shy girl who will over-apologize for even the tiniest of things. She's somewhat timid when it comes to things and people but friendly otherwise. Once she has made a friend, no matter what they think of her later she will hold them closely, such as when Uni angrily left and began to hate Nepgear upon finding out that Nepgear fled and left their sisters behind.

She is a voice actress and singer currently affiliated with vims. She hosts a radio show called "Horie Yui no Tenshi no Tamago" (堀江由衣の天使のたまご "Yui Horie's Angel Eggs") and is the founding member of the singing group, Aice5. She is also a member of the band Kurobara Hozonkai, with the name YUIEL. Her hobbies include shoulder massaging, reading and eating. She has been affectionately nicknamed "Hocchan" (ほっちゃん) by her Japanese fans.

Neptune and her friends visit "Watashi no Natsuyasumi Yama" (My Summer Vacation Mountain) filled with nature to enjoy their summer vacation. The four goddesses, who gather after a long time, are having a good time as usual. During the vacation, Nepgear and other sisters go to the mountains to wander around. After going through the stretch of a long torii (Shinto shrine archway), the sisters wander off into a different dimension. Then Nepgear meets a woman who just looks like her sister Neptune in her adult form.

Magiquone, with her secret plan against the goddesses, Level Trick, appear to challenge the battle. While their guard are down, Level Trick's "Level-Down" attack hit the four goddesses. But Magiquone is also caught up in the aftermath. Worried about their sisters' disappearance, Nepgear and the others go out to search for them, and found Noir and the other sisters, who had been transformed into young children as a result of the Level Down attack..., and only Neptune is still missing. 

 Meanwhile, Magiquone and Neptune are running a vast eggplant farm. They, too, have been transformed into their younger form and lost their memories due to the effects of Level-Down. What will become of their strange shared life with their eternal nemesis...?

There was a parallel universe called, Gamindustri. A long time ago, in Gamindustri, a big incident took place. But the conspiracy of the 4 continent's hard driven goddesses, crushed it and brought peace. This is the story of what happened after the goddesses resolved the incident. 
Based on the PS3 series of games, the games poke fun at several facts and details of the gaming industry; even to the point were character names are affected. For example "Neptune" is a reference to Sega's unreleased "Neptune" console.
