Karin (カリン, Karin?) (English dub: Korin) is a Senbyō  __(仙猫 immortal cat)__ who has lived at the top of Karin Tower for more than 800 years. The tower is located right underneath Kami's Lookout, which is a few hundred meters[verification needed] higher than Karin's tower and can be reached by Son Goku's nyoi-bō. Karin is a deity just below the rank of Kami, and plays a large role in Dragon Ball when he trains Goku during the Commander Red Saga to defeat Tao Pai Pai. At later points in the series and in Dragon Ball Z, Karin lends his assistance periodically to Goku and the other characters by growing them Senzu, which only grow in a tree in his tower. Mark Britten is an American comedian from Arlington, Texas , whose chosen stage name is "The Chinaman". Born of a Chinese-American mother and a Caucasian father , his act employs material from his "dysfunctional background" and skews ethnic stereotypes of all kinds. He has been a performing stand-up comic for ten years    Characters that he voiced include: Burter, Ox King, Moori, Korin, Mustard, Malaka, Grand Kai, and the Otherworld Tournament Announcer. He left DBZ in season 7 to go on a comedy tour and all of his voice roles were recast and re-dubbed after his departure. The Grand Kai is the only role he retained.

Goku Son is a young boy who lives in the woods all alone—that is until a girl named Bulma runs into him in her search for a set of magical objects called the "Dragon Balls." Since the artifacts are said to grant one wish to whoever collects all seven, Bulma hopes to gather them and wish for a perfect boyfriend. Goku happens to be in possession of a dragon ball, but unfortunately for Bulma, he refuses to part ways with it, so she makes him a deal: he can tag along on her journey if he lets her borrow the dragon ball's power. Emperor Pilaf finally has his hands on the Black Star Dragon Balls after years of searching, which are said to be twice as powerful as Earth's normal ones.
