The kind of guy who gets motivated when women spoil him. Surfing is his hobby. In spite of the easygoing, flirtatious behavior, Kaoru is considerate and cares for his friends. He's got a mellow, husky voice that goes along with his gorgeous performances.

Kaoru is a cheerful person who often brightens up the atmosphere. His speech and his actions are easygoing and casual, and he’s easy to talk to and can hold a conversation well. He has been shown to get along with a variety of individuals others may consider eccentric or aloof. He also has a penchant for teasing the people he’s close to and are easy to rile up. Overall, his laid-back behaviour makes him a sunny presence and a good conversation partner.

Although he may seem carefree and frivolous in temperament, he does his job seriously and gives his all in his idol work. He has been acknowledged by his colleagues as a genuinely good and hard-working individual. It is mentioned by Aira that although his stage image is that of a careless playboy, his current behaviour, which has mellowed out from his time in high school, must be his true self.

The "idol-training game" takes place at a private boys' idol-training school with a history of turning out many great talents in show business. The protagonist is the school's lone female student who transfers to the school because of a special situation, and enters the school's producer department.

The story takes place in a world where fantastic beasts called "Spirals" are born from isolation. Those who can defeat the beasts are called "Periods." Haru is an apprentice Period who belongs to the Arc End 8th Branch. However, after a mysterious theft incident, there is an economic collapse, and the Arc End headquarters abandons the 8th Division, leaving only three Periods left, including Haru. Haru and the other two Periods start their work to rebuild the 8th Division.
