Taking place shortly after Skull Heart, the series has Tobia and friends meeting Europa, the second wife of original Crossbone villain Crux Dogate, who warns of a revitalized Jupiter Empire invasion. Of particular note is the presence of the F-99 "Recordbreaker", a mobile suit based on the Crossbone Gundams, which is chronologically the first mobile suit to use the "Wings of Light" made famous by the V2 Gundam. <br><br>

The manga consists of a series of individual stories, centered on the exploits of the Crossbone Vanguard during and three years after the end of the original series, with one exception; the first story is set during the One Year War and deals with Crossbone pilot Umon Samon's youth. The series also features the "return" of Grey Stork, the aged future version of Judau Ashta, who previously appeared in Hasegawa's V Gundam Sidestory manga. <br><br>

Universal Century 0153. 17 years have passed since the "Steel Seven" defeated the remnants of the Jupiter Empire. As a new conflict brews between a Side 2 faction known as the Zanscare Empire and the League Militaire/Earth Federation a high schooler on Side 3, Font Baud, is hunted by Zanscare special forces when he discovers their secret Newtype weapon. However, he encounters a little girl, who is accompanied by a blind man and is rescued by the strange return of a mobile suit that defeated the Jovians.
