Conversely, she dislikes her job because of the pressure she inadvertently puts on students, even though she cares about their futures. The show makes visual references to Sadako Yamamura when Miki, Akihiko, and Megumi first meet her. Ramen puts Tomoka in a completely different mood, and she becomes much more cheerful and incredibly cute when she eats it. Such is the beauty of her appearance in this state that drop-out delinquents fall in love at first sight, and diligently return to school just to see her adorable smile every day. Megumi doesn&#039;t know Tomoka&#039;s true identity, and believes she is a vengeful ghost. It is also shown that she can climb up walls like a gekko, causing many people to mistake her for a vengeful ghost. Tomoka is poor as shown in the episode when Megumi first encounters her, she was up on a tree picking peaches for dinner. Ran is a villager from the Land of Rice Fields.  (Episodes 214-215).

Konan is the partner of the Akatsuki leader, Pain, and the only female ninja in Akatsuki. She was orphaned as a child by one of Amegakure's many wars, forcing her to fend for herself until being found by Jiraiya. Jiraiya trained Konan to take advantage of her natural talent with origami, and as a result paper is a key component in her battle style. Konan can divide her body into countless numbers of paper sheets, which she controls and reshapes remotely to scout out an area or form weapons for attack. She can even form wings that mirror her title as "God's Angel" amongst the villagers of Amegakure, as she often carries out Pain's (Who has the title of "God") will. Her abilities are constrained while wet, as paper, clings to itself and loses its stiffness.

Etou is a student from a different school. He plays the violin. He is very confident of himself and his playing is very accurate. He is labeled as an idiot in Seiso Academy.
