Asuka is the woman who scouted Jun for the Human Alliance, and is a high-ranking government official. As far as her personality goes, she is a cold, aggressive, and manipulative woman, who cares nothing for the people who work under her. When she forced Jun to confront the Devil-beast Wolver, she had no concern for Jun&#039;s survival, her theory that Jun was a Devil-beast was based only on a hunch. As the series progresses, even though she is cruel to Jun, she cares about Jun&#039;s safety. She acts as Jun&#039;s liaison and tells her when and where a beast will appear. She seems to have different intentions from her organisation and does a great deal of work without their knowledge.

This flighty, 28-year-old English teacher with a body of a child accompanies Yasunaga on his visit to Ryōzanpaku. She also helps Boris open up to others as he helps her keep the class in control due to most of her students ignoring her. She seems to be rather gullible as she did not seem to care that Kenichi was in "the bathroom" for her entire class. Comically, both Kenichi and Boris believe that she might secretly be that of a Master Class for her ability to sneak up on Boris without him knowing and able to peacefully sleep during the Russian troops attack on the campsite

She was born Hiroko Takahashi (高橋浩子, Takahashi Hiroko) in Kanagawa Prefecture.  She passed away on February 26, 2013 due to breast cancer.
