Bulma is originally a secondary main character, but her role is quickly downplayed as the series continues, even though she does remain an important support character for most of the series. Bulma is a direct parody of the character Xuanzang from the Chinese novel Journey to the West. Even though Bulma's character parodies a monk, her Japanese name "Buruma" is the brand of a popular gym short worn by girls in Japan. Her re-adapted name Bulma is a direct take on the word "bloomers", which was a popular brand of women's underwear in the early 20th century.  Bulma is the second character to be introduced in the Dragon Ball series. In the early part of the story, she is the inventor of the Dragon Radar and is searching for the legendary Dragon Balls. Bulma was hoping to use the Dragon Balls to wish for the perfect boyfriend. While searching for a nearby Dragon Ball, she runs into Son Goku. It is at this time that she finds out Goku inherited one of the balls (the four-star ball) she is searching for from his Grandpa Gohan. Because of Goku's love for the ball and his belief that his Grandpa's spirit lives in the ball, Goku is not willing to give it up. Bulma then asks him to loan it for her in exchange of taking him in her travels. At that point, they team up to find the remainder of the balls and the adventure begins. In the later action-oriented episodes of the series, there is little room for a genius but Bulma continues to play a role as a secondary character, helping Goku and his friends with her gadgets, and having a rather rocky relationship with Yamcha.




Wakana is the wife of Shinnosuke and was possessed by a salamander's egg which forced her to kill men and bring them to the salamander spirit who would take their flesh. She lured her husband, Miroku, and Sango but later she overcame her possession when Miroku punched the egg out of her stomach, defeated the demon and reunited her with her beloved husband who she thought had died in battle.

Gohō is a fox demon. He wears a red bib. He, along with his brothers, mistakes Shippo as the user of the wind scar.

Hari is a character that appears only in the movie Inuyasha the Movie- Affections Touching Across Time, the loyal servant of the main antagonist of the movie, Menomaru. She appears to be very fond of her master, willing to do almost anything for him. She is not above taunting her opponents, as seen in her final fight against Sango. However, these taunts and her general arrogance ultimately proves to be her downfall; after underestimating the bond between Sango and Kirara, she is ripped in half by Sango, and although the attempt to kill her seems to be unsuccessful, Menomaru decides to claim her soul and she dies. Hari's abilities include the power to control anyone by means of a special spell, which she used on Kirara. She also wields two blades which normally appear as innocuous leaves, but in her hands, they transform into large swords. With this weapon, Hari is able to fire off a large wave of red energy in the form of a cross, which appears to be quite powerful as they caused much destruction when used in battle, although not quite powerful enough to withstand Sango's Hiraikotsu. Otherwise, the swords can be used as normal melee weapons. Another of Hari's abilities is the power to use the flower petals from the flower that she keeps in her hair as projectile weapons. She simply plucks off one petal then hurls it at the opponent. The single petal then transforms into multiple blades of blue or yellow energy which cause violent explosions upon impact.

An immortal companion of Yuta. She was raised by a group of old women that kept her captive and incapacitated in a hut. They were really mermaids that sought to eat Mana once she reached her adolescence to regain their youth. She travels with Yuta since, and possesses a large sense of loyalty and feelings towards him, but due to her somewhat naive and spoiled nature, she doesn't seem to truly realize that her emotions towards him are possibly love or just simple affection. 

Mobile Suit: ZGMF-X88S Gaia; GFAS-X1 Destroy 

She is one of the Earth Forces Extended (enhanced through drugs and surgery) and has two personalities: an innocent and angry side. Her memories have been erased in order to fight battles without any emotion. Because of her modifications without being genetically altered, she quickly changes from being calm and happy, to fuming and violent. Her worst fear is dying and has an emotional breakdown whenever someone mentions death near her. 

She got killed in action during the fight in Berlin. Shinn almost saved her, but she got pierced by shrapnel by Kira Yamato in the Freedom gundam and resulted in an explosion. In his arms, she said "I love you" before she peacefully passed away. Her body was dropped in a lake in Berlin, and Shinn vowed that he will get his revenge..

Yuji's mother. She can seem gentle but she's strong and very intelligent. Her husband, Kantaro, works outside the country. Chigusa remains ignorant of Shana's and Yuji's true nature, but becomes a source of good advice for Shana on matters where Alastor can not counsel her. The Crimson Lord himself acknowledges and bows to her wisdom after a phone call between the two of them when he posed as Shana's guardian.

Nasuti aids the Troopers during their quest against the forces of evil. Not much is known about her past, except that she is half French and half Japanese, and was visiting her grandfather when Talpa's invasion began. Unlike her friends, Nasuti has no super powers or weapons. However, she is extremely knowledgeable about the mystical armors and various ancient artifacts. She provides vital information to the Troopers and acts as a caretaker for Ully. Over time, Nasuti becomes like an older sister to them.  In the beginning of the TV series, Nasuti is 17 years old. In Gaiden, she is 19 years old. During Kikoutei Densetsu (The Legend of the Inferno Armor) and Message she is in her early 20s. During Kikoutei Densetsu, Nasuti was crucial in aiding the Troopers in decoding the mysterious language used by Mukara; and she was able to take herself and her friends to where Ryo and Sage were located.  In the 3rd and last OVA, Message, Nasuti was in New York City, where she was attending a special session of the United Nations General Assembly that was convened by the United Nations Security Council to solve the recent, bizarre events that have been happening worldwide; which was seen as a threat to international peace and security. During the meeting, Nasuti planned on telling the world officials about the existence of the Troopers. Whether she succeeded in doing so remains a mystery. Unlike the previous episodes, Nasuti only appears in the very last episode; but as always she provides support for Ryo who, at the time, was about to confront the new enemy, Suzunagi. Nasuti's birthday technically falls on two dates, due to an error made by her creators at Sunrise Animation Studio. According to the YST book, Memorials, her birthday is listed on May 15, 1970, making her a Taurus. However, according to many other official YST merchandise, her birthday is listed as May 28, 1970, thus making her a Gemini like Seiji. Both official books were compiled by Sunrise; however, the latter date is often used in other official documents. It is also the most popular birthday used by fans.  Nasuti's family name, Yagyū is based on the real Japanese clan with the same name. Like most of the characters in the series, many of their surnames are based on historical Japanese clans. Nasuti plays the same role in the manga as she does in the anime version of YST. She provides assistance to the heroes but unlike the anime, her importance is downplayed in order to make room for more action. Jun, the little boy who counted on the Troopers and Byakuen (White Blaze) to protect him, becomes more of a key figure.

Natsume is a young woman who is an itinerant martial artist along with her younger sister, Kurumi. For years the two wandered Japan in search of their long-lost father, Soun Tendo. They briefly usurped Akane Tendo and Ranma Saotome’s claim to inherit the Tendo Dojo and carry on Anything Goes Martial Arts after challenging and defeating them, but conceded their claim following a rematch.
