Kotomi is another schoolmate of [Tomoya](https://anilist.co/character/4606/Okazaki-Tomoya)'s in the same year, but, like [Kyou](https://anilist.co/character/4605/Fujibayashi-Kyou), is in a separate class from Tomoya. The "Koto" in Kotomi is derived from the Japanese musical stringed instrument of the same name. She is in the top ten for every subject throughout the whole country in standardized exam results—she always goes to library to read extra materials, especially books in foreign languages. Kotomi is a very quiet girl and it is quite difficult to communicate with her. In her spare time, she plays the violin, although she is very poor at it to the point of causing pain to those who hear her play.

~!Tomoya meets her for the first time when he enters the library and found Kotomi sitting on the floor barefoot, reading books with scissors in her hand, and acts oddly with Tomoya. After several meetings with Kotomi, Tomoya starts skipping the fourth period and spend time with Kotomi in the library. Tomoya decides to force Kotomi to join the drama club to make her more sociable. Just when Kotomi starts to open up to everyone, a bus accident causes her to breakdown in front of everyone and returns home later. Tomoya visits her in her house and learns that he and Kotomi were childhood friends, but lost contact with each other after Kotomi's parents died in an plane-accident. Not wanting to feel the pain of losing someone important anymore, and asks Tomoya to leave her alone. Wanting to bring Kotomi away from her past, Tomoya decides to renovate her garden, while the drama club members decide to gift her a violin, but was unfortunately destroyed. After renovating Kotomi's garden, Kotomi appears to Tomoya, and after some poignant conversation, Tomoya brings Kotomi out of her house to see the outside world inside her heart. The next day, her guardian presents Kotomi her parent's briefcase that has traveled all the way to Japan, and inside is a teddy bear and a testimony, asking Kotomi to live the way she wants and grow up to be an adult. Kotomi realizes she is still being loved by her parents even after their death and cries. After this, Kotomi becomes more mature, and the drama club members finally give Kotomi a violin.!~

~!In the anime adaptation Clannad After Story, Kotomi moves to America to further her studies. She, however, occasionally visits Tomoya and the others, and in the movie adaptation, Kotomi only made a cameo appearance, as she is only seen conducting a song for the members of the Choir Club.!~

Minene Uryuu is a terrorist bomber. Like the Fourth, her "Escape" diary goes along with the type of profession she is involved in. Whenever Minene faces a dire situation, the diary will chart out the best course of actions she can take in order to get out of a tight spot. Based on the function of her diary, it might even help reduce the chances of her receiving a Dead End and it is probably one of the best diaries to have in Deus' game of survival. The diary's only shortcoming is that there are some circumstances where the odds are too heavily stacked against Minene to the point where the diary won't be able to secure an escape route for her.   An infamous atheistic terrorist, Minene is a young woman who bears a strong hatred for organized religion, particularly God.    ~!Her hatred of religion stems from her past when she and parents were traveling in a city in the Middle East but got caught in a battle, which is hinted between Israelis and Palestinians, where her parents were killed in the crossfire. Blaming God for her parents death, she leads a crusade of destruction against those associated with God.   Minene got involved in the Diary game when after a failed assassination to kill a Catholic Cardinal, she tried to escape but almost fell to her death but was saved by Deus who gave her an offer to save her if she join his game. Minene's diary is the Escape Diary, which will chart out the best course of actions for her to escape whenever she finds herself in a dangerous situation. While it means she can escape anything, it is not perfect as the diary can only tell her how to escape if there are favorably conditions that allow her any chance to escape.   Originally, she wants to win the game to destroy religion worldwide but later mellows out after befriending Yuki and his friends. While she began as an antagonist against Yuki, she later became his ally, becoming a big sister figure to him and both of them hold no animosity with each other despite Minene was responsible for the destruction and deaths at his school and Yuki was the one who blinded her left eye. She shares an interesting relationship with Masumi Nishijima of the police whom she met during her failed assassination of the Cardinal. While she constantly dismisses all of his attempts to get to know her, she finally relents and eventually falls in love with Masumi.   In the anime, during the last episode it was shown that Minene, from the second world, and Masumi, from the third world live together and have two children. Third world Minene is still a terrorist. !~ She is named after Minerva — the Roman goddess of wisdom, commerce, weaving, crafts and magic.

She is the reincarnation of the goddess Athena, one of the main characters of the series Saint Seiya from Masami Kurumada. Athena is the goddess of love, strategy, and hope. According to mythology, she's the goddess who inherits the control over the Earth from Zeus (her real father).

Athena is said to be by birthright the goddess of battle, but she didn't believe in conquest and only fought defensive wars. She hates weapons, and thus only allows her Saints to battle using their bodies and armors. The only Saint allowed by her to wield weapons is the Libra Gold Saint, and it is only with her permission that the Saints are allowed to brandish the weapons kept by the Libra Saint. A female vampire who attends the same school as Hiro. She has long black hair, always dresses in a dark sailor suit, and has idol status in her school. In the manga there are many scenes showing her in black underwear but in the anime those are reduced to panty shots. She tried to get Hime&#039;s blood but failed. Later on she is banished from the vampire society for opposing Kiniski, she is pursued by Kiniski and the other vampires, who burn down the abandoned church she was living in, therefore losing her place so she freeloads at Hime&#039;s. Megu is a sickly girl (she has congenital heart disease in the anime, but the disease is not specified in the manga) who is Suigintou's medium. She lives in a hospital room, under constant care from nurses. Megu has a very bleak outlook on life and often prays for an "Angel of Death" to take her away. She sees herself as a burden upon her parents, who she claims are "guilty" of having her. She initially believes that Suigintou is the "Angel of Death" she has hoped for and requests that Suigintou kill her by draining away her energy. Despite her apathy (and, at times, contempt) towards life in general, she is quite needy, and increasingly desires Suigintou's company, even throwing tantrums when Suigintou is away. Megu's blatant disrespect towards her father is shocking to Suigintou, who would never consider such an attitude toward her own "Father." Sigyn is the 25-year-old Queen of Krisna. During military school she was known as the &quot;Mad Scientist&quot; for secluding herself in the school&#039;s lab for 3 days and nights without eating or drinking. While she is the Queen, she rarely acts like one and has instead pursued a career of science. She can usually be found with the royal engineers in the castle maintenance workshop tinkering with machines.    Sigyn cares deeply for her friends, to the point of pointing a gun at Rygart upon first seeing him to ask why he didn&#039;t show up at her wedding and confirm that he doesn&#039;t hate her. Even though she and Hodr are married, they do not share the same bed.     ~!It is later reveal Sigyn was in love with Rygart during their days in military school but Rygart purposely didn&#039;t hear her confession to him when he returned to take over his father&#039;s farm because he felt Sigyn deserved a better life with someone else. Kanade Tachibana is the Afterlife School's student council president. She is often referred to as "Tenshi" by the SSS, based on both [Yuri's](https://anilist.co/character/22370/Nakamura-Yuri) belief that she must be a representative of god and the SSS members not knowing her name initially. Though, they continue to call her "Tenshi" after discovering her real name. Her position often puts her at odds with Yuri and the other SSS members as her responsibilities require her to suppress delinquency and disruptive activities. 

Her given name, Kanade, as described by [Otonashi](https://anilist.co/character/24502/Otonashi-Yuzuru), literally means "Playing music".

Tenshi has a variety of self-defense skills at her disposal, which she calls "Guard Skills".

Misaki&#039;s mother. She appears to be somewhat sickly, but does her best to support Misaki and Suzuna by working as a nurse at the hospital. Although she is grateful that Misaki is helping her with their financial problems, she also wants nothing more than for Misaki to have more fun and go out more often as a high school teenager. She becomes acquainted with Usui at the train station in chapter 35 and sees him as a very gentle person and the exact opposite of her husband.

A young girl who was left to die alone in the old school building of Seikyou Private Academy long ago. She has no recollection of how she died and is currently searching for clues together with [Teiichi Niiya](https://anilist.co/character/34471/Niiya-Teiichi). As a ghost, she is normally invisible to the people in the school, with the exceptions of Teiichi and [Kirie Kanoe](https://anilist.co/character/39417/Kanoe-Kirie), a blood relative who can also see her.

Apparently, she has grown fond of Teiichi and has expressed her desire to be by his side forever.   Except for Teiichi, the other members are unaware that Yuuko is actually the 'absentee' president of the Paranormal Investigations Club.   Meanwhile, the surname "Kanoe" is derived from the 7th sign of the Chinese calendar, which originally meant "evening star" and also means "a person's age".

In the anime series, Yuuko is attributed to autumn leaves and the sky during sunset, which both share the same fiery hues. "

La Mimay is of the Alozaran race in the Algol system, a world which, like Tokarga, was conquered and milked dry by the Illumidas. She is first seen working as a secretary for Prime Minister Triter, the spineless puppet leader of the Illumidas-occupied earth (as seen in My Youth in Arcadia.) She warns Zoll of Tokarga, whom she has fallen in love with, that his planet is set to be destroyed (a job which they had offered to Harlock, and which he flatly refused,) and they form an alliance with Harlock, Emeraldas, and Tochiro, who has built the Arcadia in secret beneath the Illumidas Occupation Force HQ. After Harlock is banished from earth, La Mimay remains with him as chief of communications.  La Mimay is deathly afraid of the sentient glowing disk the Arcadia encounters in its travels, believing it to be the "Golden Goddess" of Alozaran legend, whose appearance supposedly signals the ends of all things. When it becomes apparent that the way to the mythical planet Arcadia (which Harlock and company are seeking in the SSX series,) is guarded by the golden being, she only very reluctantly agrees that the ship should press on.  La Mimay is not the same character as the Mimay that appeared in Space Pirate and Galaxy Express, possessing no psychic abilities, and never said to be alcohol-dependent. A character chart in the My Youth in Arcadia Roman Album lists the two as blood relatives, but frankly, this is clearly bunk; the two are entirely different species, and never once meet. She is also airheaded, innocent, and acts very much like a child, which is reinforced by the fact that she refers to herself in third-person. Sanae has an obsessive crush over Ika Musume, much to their dismay. She is constantly taking pictures of Ika, and often imagines situations in which she would win over Ika's heart, and gets jealous whenever she sees other girls with Ika. Ika does not return Sanae's affections, and is often disgusted by Sanae's attempts to approach her, to the point where she often hit them away with their tentacles and spray them with ink. This doesn't help however, as Sanae seems to exhibit a strange masochistic pleasure out of this. Although, if she's called up by Eiko for a serious errand, Sanae is able to keep calm even when around Ika and help out. She owns a pet dog named [Alex](https://anilist.co/character/53811/Alex), and keeps a wardrobe full of cosplay outfits.
