Minagi Tohno is a smart girl who is the top student in all her classes at school; however, she is very shy, with Michiru as her only friend. One of the things Minagi enjoys the most is studying the stars at night. Together, her and Michiru created the Astronomy Club, which she forces Yukito to join. Minagi&rsquo;s mother and father are separated, with her mother living at home and her father away on business as a train conductor.     ~!Yukito finds out from Hijiri, the local doctor, that Minagi&rsquo;s mother has a mental illness caused by the miscarriage of her second child. When Yukito goes to see Minagi at her house, her mother appears calling Minagi, &lsquo;Michiru&rsquo;; the name she would have called her miscarried child. It is explained that Minagi was closer to her father than her mother, and because of her mother&#039;s wish that her next child be closer to her, she has delusions that Michiru was born and Minagi never existed.    When Minagi talks to Yukito, she talks of her desire to leave, prompting Yukito to take her with him on his journey. However, when they walk to her house, Minagi&rsquo;s mother sees them, causing her memories of the miscarriage return and her delusions to end. With her mother&#039;s illness gone, Minagi invites Michiru to dinner, and her mother is surprised at the coincidence of her friend&#039;s name being the same as her miscarried daughter.    Soon after, Minagi and Yukito go to the school roof where they find Michiru. She explains that she was a wandering spirit who came down to Earth because she saw a sad girl that she wished to make happy.  Now that Minagi is happy, she has to leave. Michiru then vanishes. When Minagi gets home, she is given a letter from her father, explaining that he has re-married and new wife has given birth to a little girl. When Minagi goes to visit, she finds that the daughter is named, and looks exactly like, Michiru.!~

She wins all ten of her games at the Tokyo prefecture games, and is the defending champion of the Kantō regional games. She is fiercely competitive, working to increase her angel&#039;s speed and power often. Shuko is Misaki's mother and Shoko's elder sister. In the anime, it is explained that Shuko left a 5-year-old Misaki to be taken care of her grandparents under the guise of work, when in reality she was going to Tokyo in order to find a way to cure the neurological disease she had been inflicted with. This disease inhibits nerve signals from reaching to or from her legs. Ichiro Mihara was a doctor attempting to work with her to find a cure when the two started Angelic Layer as a way to do research and raise funds when their original research funding was cut off. Shuko, or "Shu" as she is called when playing Angelic Layer, is the undisputed champion with her angel Athena, having won each of the past three national championships. Over the past seven years, she has avoided meeting Misaki, afraid of what Misaki would think of her. Yukari Sakuragi is one the class officers, the other being Kazami, of Yomiyama North Middle School's 9th grade class.    ~!After hearing an important message from a teacher, she takes her umbrella and runs out of the classroom. After seeing Sakakibara with Misaki standing in the hallway she runs to the opposite direction. She runs downstairs and slips. Her umbrella falls out of her hand and she falls on it with her throat being pierced by the iron point of her umbrella and dies a few seconds later. We find out later on that her mother died on the same day, which could have been the reason why Sakuragi had left the classroom.!~   ~!Sakuragi appearance in the manga is completely different from her appearance in the anime. In the manga, Sakuragi has straight black hair. However, in the anime, she has curly brown hair.!~

The only other undine with Aria Company, Alicia is one of the Three Water Fairies of Neo-Venezia, known by the title "Snow White". At the start of the series, she is 19 years old and the most popular undine in the city, noted especially for her graceful rowing style. She was promoted to Prima at 15, the youngest ever to do so. Like Akari, she is relaxed and easy-going, but she also likes to tease others, especially her childhood friend Akira. Her favorite phrase is ara ara and she frequently giggles, to Akira's annoyance. According to Grandma Akino, she is an excellent undine because of her ability to enjoy everything.   ~!At the end of the series, Alicia announces her upcoming marriage (though to whom is never stated) and retirement to take an administrative position with the Gondola Association. She tells Akari she had put off her Prima exam because she had been planning to retire after that, and did not want to leave her student and friend. According to issue number 6 of Monthly Undine, after her retirement, "Snow White" is designated the 8th "honored appellation" by the Gondola Association, as an undine who made great contributions to the industry.!~

Naomi is an illegal &#039;third type&#039; android who was created by Dr. Asakura whom she calls father. When Ross Syllabus joins the Mars Police Department he become Naomi&#039;s new partner.    The &#039;third type&#039; androids are one of the most human like androids with special abilities that other androids do not have. They have been living with humans and no one can tell the difference between humans and them. 

A quiet, demure and extremely wealthy girl who hero-worships Yuzu. She tries very hard to be the epitome of Japanese femininity. Her talisman item is a ceremonial fan.

She is a teenage girl who worked for the  Immigration Bureau of Japan as one of their top agents before helping save Eris, but now is seen as a traitor so she lives at the Cathia Embassy. She has the ability to teleport anything to her within 50m of her, and because of this her parents threw her out, leaving her to grow up on as she says &quot;the other side of society&quot;. She has a noticeable crush on Kio, due to the fact he is the only person who ever treated her like a normal girl, but feels he would not like her due to her ability.

<br>Tanizaki Yukari is the girls&#039; English and homeroom teacher (class 3), but a teacher with very unconventional methods and a close relationship with the class. Her students are casual enough to call her by her first name: Yukari-sensei, and even use the very informal and intimate name and title of Yukari-chan. She can be moody and, like Tomo, is incredibly impulsive and has a tendency not to think things through. Yukari has a rivalry/friendship with Minamo and attempts to prove that she is the superior teacher. 

Age: Unknown  Hair: Purple   Big Mama is The Boss, The Sorcerer Hunters employer, and the head of the Stellar Church. She has just as much power as Zaha does and he says that she should learn to use it too.   She sends the Sorcerer Hunters on their missions, but as good hearted as she is, she has a lot of enemies. Sometimes the Sorcerer Hunters themselves are peeved at her. 

Satori Azuma, a first-year high school student (that is, in the anime), is the fifth and the last person to join the Kendo Club. She is very talented in kendo. In fact, Satori is the second strongest in the club, with Tamaki being the strongest. However, she is very bad with her studies despite her diligence, which is why she decided to quit kendo after middle school--in order to concentrate on her studies. It is revealed her glasses are fake; she thought she would get smarter by wearing them. Due to the fact that she is rather na&iuml;ve, she is tricked by Miyako Miyazaki into joining the club, thinking that Kendo will help her improve her studies. Kris reveals herself as the most talented one of her class on the satellite-university. Like in Battle Athletes, she belongs to a small community of men living on the lunar surface: the Biginners. Such community lives in a profound symbiosis with nature, and refuses every kind of technology, preferring to live in harmony in an environment unpolluted. Kris, especially, belongs to a family of priests, able to feel spirits and talk with them.   On the satellite-university, Kris shares her room with Akari and Anna, as well as Gyubei, her cow brought from the moon and whose milk Kris believes she can't survive.   Her feelings for Akari are clearly of romantic nature, or rather, after meeting the terrestrial athlete, she is struck by love at first sight. In the last episodes of the second series this feelings are reciprocated. Furthermore, during those last episodes, the two share an emphatic bond, conjured up by Kris and made solemn by the spirits worshiped  by her. 

Aroe is a young girl whose hair is made of Aloe, which does not benefit her as she often requires water. Aroe does not often make direct contact with the other characters in the anime and her appearances are often a side story--although she encountered them at the final scene of the final episode.  Aroe&#039;s Aloe made hair, bursts many of her vinyl wading pools due to its sharpness. Rukia is a Soul Reaper from the Soul Society who met and saved [Ichigo Kurosaki's](https://anilist.co/character/5/Ichigo-Kurosaki) life by lending him her spiritual power. Initially born into a lower class, Rukia retains her modesty, despite being an adopted member of a noble bloodline. She is graceful and "clean", yet is willing to talk to ordinary people. However, her cool and lone demeanor often forces her to hide her personal troubles, even from those close to her. Because of her never opening up her heart, she has difficulty making friends. She can also act like a bit of a tomboy at times, wanting to show others that she's tough and getting aggressive towards others when they insult her. Rukia is clueless about the ways of the modern Human World, often making misconceptions and struggling with the simplest of things like opening a juice box. She likes to climb up to high places and loves everything rabbit-themed, becoming quite sensitive when someone insults her obsession with them. People often have difficulty understanding her drawings, which are typically rabbit-like, and doesn't like it when people complain about their quality.

Rukia and her older sister, [Hisana](https://anilist.co/character/18964/Hisana-Kuchiki), were brought together to 78th District of Rukongai after they died in the human world. Hisana abandoned Rukia when she was still a baby since she could not continue to support both herself and Rukia. Rukia grew up on her own until she met [Renji Abarai](https://anilist.co/character/906/Renji-Abarai) and other children her age. They worked together to steal food in order to survive and became a makeshift family.  During this time, Rukia and Renji showed signs of having spiritual power. While they initially opted against becoming shinigami, the death of all their friends prompted Rukia to suggest joining the academy for a better life.  At the shinigami academy, Renji and Rukia started growing further apart as Renji got further ahead in his training. The emotional distance continued until Rukia was asked to join the Kuchiki family. Renji expressed happiness for Rukia's opportunity but both did not admit that they disagreed with the arrangement since they would likely never see each other again. Rukia reluctantly joined the family and was immediately inducted into the 13th Division without having to graduate or take a squad entrance exam. Unknown to Rukia, Byakuya Kuchiki had adopted her in order to fulfill the last wish of Hisana, whom he had taken as his wife.!~

Personality: She is shown to have great annoyance at Saya for being too soft and always helping people (the reason she comes to school late) which causes her to get angry. But she is still kind despite her hot headed nature. In reality, Yūka is actually a cold woman who will do anything to achieve her goals and shows little value towards human life.

Appearance: She has the appearance of a tall teenager with fair skin, dark eyes and nude lipstick. Yuuka sports chin length black hair with a fringe cut on the right side. On terms of clothes, Yūka mostly wears her school uniform. 

~!At the end of the series, after the deaths of the Main Cast, it is revealed that Yuuka is actually a woman in her mid to late twenties. !~
In "Blood-C: The Last Dark" movie, ~!Yuuka now appears more her age: she wears a formal suit of a grey blazer with a turquoise blouse underneath, a dark grey pencil skirt, black hose, and blue heels. She also wears a necklace and red lipstick. !~

Fiore, a girl with a mysterious past, is Joshua&rsquo;s guardian, who is very protective of him. She is a powerful jewel summoner and has a very special role in Aion&rsquo;s group. She is also an excellent cook, and a very capable maid who likes to take care of everybody around her. She has been looking after Joshua since he first joined the Sinner group, when he was still a boy. Though she appears to be cold and almost emotionless, she&rsquo;s actually a very sweet and caring girl, though she is also a fearless fighter. Joshua and her share mutual feelings that go beyond sibling love.     However, it was later revealed that she was also a jewel summoner, like Satella, and that she was Satella&#039;s missing sister Florette. She had been kidnapped by Aion and her personality replaced by &quot;Fiore&quot;, so that she does not remember that she is Satella&#039;s sister. In her final battle with Satella, she ruthlessly attacks her sister and only at the end did she remember Satella as she was killed.

Reika Nogami is the sister of [Saeko](https://anilist.co/character/2069). In one of the episodes, she opened a detective agency near [Ryou](https://anilist.co/character/2065) and [Kaori](https://anilist.co/character/2066/Kaori-Makimura)'s house. She is a supporting character in several episodes.

She is a pretty detective with the Tokyo police, who often uses the City Hunter team to do her job for her. She keeps promising to pay back [Ryou](https://anilist.co/character/2065/Ryou-Saeba) with &quot;mokkori&quot; (sex), but always manages to get out of it. Despite her deceptive tendencies, she and Ryo have a considerable history together and were in a love triangle with Ryo and [Hideyuki Makimura](https://anilist.co/character/2067/Hideyuki-Makimura).    Saeko&#039;s father is the chief of police, so she has some leeway in how she does her job. But off the job, her father puts pressure on her to get married.    In the spin-off Angel Heart, Saeko was the chief of police who used to date Hideyuki Makimura and was implied to be waiting for Hideyuki&#039;s proposal. In later chapters, Saeko&#039;s hidden dream was to have a normal family with Ryo, implying her shift in romantic interest.

A 4th grader and the Elementary School Board Treasurer. Akira is a first-class chef, a trait he inherited from his father. He lives with his two mothers and has also inherited his father&#039;s legacy as the notorious thief 20 Masks. Akira also appears in Clamp&#039;s Man of Many Faces, Duklyon: Clamp School Defenders, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle and X/1999.
