Shigeo is a quiet and polite individual who tries to live a normal life despite having strong telepathic power, he wants to be seen as a good human among the people in his social life. This often makes him naive and gullible when those with malicious intent want to use him for a laugh or to cause trouble but Shigeo has very strong beliefs to never use his powers to hurt another person because of an altercation he faced once as a child.

A second-year at Sakaneko High School, and a member of the anime research club. He likes action anime centering on supernatural powers. People tend to stay away from him due to his delusions of grandeur and frequent usage of lines used by action anime protagonists. He is frequently called "Kaikai" by those who know him, even though he hates that name. Ever since Kouki ignored Kai's questionable conduct to talk to him, he has been good friends with him.

Kouji Nakano is Nankatsu elementary school oendan of Nankatsu and supporter of Japan.


Iwami Kenichi is a retired midfielder from Nankatsu and a university student. He used to wear the number "5" jersey in middle school.

Bossi is a Forward of France Jr. Youth. He wears the number "11" jersey.

Magath translated as Magdt in the German edition, is a defender. He wears the number "5" jersey. He is a very resoluted player in terms of tackle power and sharp defense. He is one of Germany's main fullbacks.

His name is a reference to former footballer Felix Magath. His first name is Thomas in the Complete special issue, and  Bruno in Captain Tsubasa J: Get in the Tomorrow.

Tardelli is a Forward. He wears the jersey #2 and #3, depending on the original source. He is based on the italian player Marco Tardelli. In the Italian dub of Shin Captain Tsubasa, he is named "Marchesi", while in the Italian localization of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, his surname is translated as "Nardelli", possibly to avoid confusion with said real-life player.
