He is a fighter-game uploader, which suits his often angry, cynical and violent attitude. This attitude partially stems from his sleep disorder which gives him regular periods of insomnia, causing him to have to take sleeping pills most of the time and take up game streaming to get rid of boredom during the night. He eventually befriends Akatsuki, but quarrels a lot with Zakuro throughout the series.

Ganen is a villager from Ishigami Village. He is the son of Sagan and En.

A frequent side character. He is somehow a delinquent with as seen when he fakes being sick to skip the School Year Opening Ceremony and then puts the blame on Nendō and Kusuo, and gets himself into convoluted schemes with his circle of friends; but overall he just is a nuisance to deal with.

Haruki is apart of Class 1-D. He is apart of the three idiots of Class D along with Ike and Sudou. He has a tendency to lie and his grades are the lowest in the class. Similar to his friends, Haruki has a perverted side who is attracted to Kikyō Kushida as he was willing to peep on the girls. He is also very attracted to Airi Sakura and Haruka Hasebe, mainly for their well-endowed bodies and quiet nature.

He is a student at the Royal School of Magic in the Kingdom of Wenias, and the main protagonist of the series. As a result of his grades being at the bottom of the class, he was ordered to participate in special training as remedy to avoid expulsion.

Like Shirogane, he attended an outside middle school before entering Shuchiin. He enrolled in order to look for clues regarding the disappearance of his older brother. He serves as an assistant to the "Investigator of the financial world" Hajime Echizen and, after solving many difficult cases has finally been reunited with his brother.

Rentarou is an extremely kind and thoughtful person who loves all of his many girlfriends very dearly, often to a scarily self-sacrificing degree.  

Before he began his days as a high school student, Rentarou had been rejected a total of 100 times. Following a rejection from his friend on the day of his junior high graduation, he goes to a matchmaking shrine and prays to the shrine's god, wishing for a happy high school life by getting a girlfriend. In response, the Love God appears before Rentarou, telling him that he will meet his "soulmate" in high school, and that they will fall in love at first sight. He then reveals that Rentarou has 100 of such soulmates, and that should he ever meets one, he must make them his girlfriend and make them happy, or else they will die.

A professor who was chosen to be the Black Cat Knight. His familiar is Coo Ritter. He is interested in achieving the Akashic records, the knowledge of everything in the universe. This desires captures Animus' interest in him since both of them have similar goals, and because of this he often chats with him trying to recruit him to his side. After having his original wish of omniscience denied by Coo, he settles for the ability to create his own set of golems.

Marui Bunta is Rikkai's very own volley specialist. Marui is very confident of his skills and is not at least afraid to flaunt it. Despite of his abilities, his main weakness is his lack of stamina, which he compensates by eating sweets and gums during tennis games. In Temporal difference Hell, he seems to feint a smash, then catches it on his racket from behind his back instead and thus returns it differently at the last moment. Was used in the Finals match against Kikumaru and Oishi.
