Joichiro Nishi is a middle-school veteran of the Gantz world, having arrived there over a year before the beginning of the series. While running away from police officers after shoplifting, he fled onto an apartment building roof where he fell to his death.    Much like how Kurono started out, he is also selfish and has a Social Darwinist approach to life. Nishi is reluctant to reveal anything about the Gantz or himself, but he runs a web site where he posts information about it (carefully avoiding Gantz&#039;s rule about informing outsiders, which would in turn prove fatal). Gantz calls him &quot;Mr. Nishi,&quot; which is rather interesting given how informally or derisively he refers to most of the other participants.      ~!Nishi is killed at the beginning of the Tanaka/Suzuki Alien mission, but after six months of existing only inside Gantz&#039;s memory banks, he is revived by Kaze at Kurono&#039;s request following the end of the Oni mission. Ostensibly, Kurono hopes that Nishi will be able to provide information about Gantz to the game players.     After being ostracized and bullied by his classmates, which ended with them hurling him out of the classroom window, he has killed all of them (except one girl who had a crush on him and did not support the rest in wanting to chase him out of the school). After this, civil armed forces are sent to kill Nishi. Nishi manages to kill many of the men sent to kill him, but after an intense battle with the armed forces he is severely wounded and was only able to avoid death because Gantz called the Hunters for a new mission.!~

The first-generation Kishin and one of the Great Old Ones whose affinity to madness resides in fear. He formerly served as one of the Warlords of the Eight Reaper Legions, being its most powerful member until he betrayed the group and became a Kishin, killing innocents to gain power through their souls and even consuming his own demon weapon partner, as well as two other Great Old Ones. Gen Asagiri is an enemy turned ally of Senku. Originally de-petrified by Tsukasa Shishio, he was sent to find Senku, only to defect to the Kingdom of Science. Gen later becomes one of the Five Wise Generals.

He is somewhat full of himself and his abilities, taking pride in his status as a magician and a mentalist, along with his knowledge of the human psyche. Gen is rather quirky and can often be seen speaking in Pig Latin. He tends to be lazy, self absorbed, and perverted, and he is also perfectly capable of lying without a hint of stress or change in expression. While he frequently portrays an aura of selfishness, hard self-interest, manipulation and deviousness, Gen is intrinsically a good person who can't bring himself to harm others. His outward appearance is masked by his mastery in psychology, but his actions tell of loyalty, determination, kindness and even sacrifice at times.

While not nearly as intelligent in terms of science compared to Senku, he proves to be his equal and one of his most vital allies due to his ability to understand the human psyche and manipulate people through lies in contrast to Senku's more honest nature. He uses his abilities to promote cooperation and enthusiasm, motivate allies, conduct negotiations, and outsmart enemies. He tends to shift between acting as a ditzy airhead when it suits him (such as to avoid work or going into battle) and an intelligent manipulator. He is confident and is shown to have nerves of steel, even in the face of death.

He has frequently stated that his favourite drink is cola, and that he cannot handle alcohol.

A high school student summoned to another world as the Bow Hero. He is usually calm and well-mannered. However, He has a messiah complex, and is pretty much a justice maniac. He vanquishes evildoers without thinking of the consequences of his actions. However, this is just because he is immature. He doesn't actually have any bad intentions.
