Chihiro is a shy, pessimistic girl. At the beginning of the movie, she and her parents are in the process of moving to a new town. When her father takes the wrong turn, they end up near what her father thinks is "an abandoned amusement park." In reality, it is a bathhouse for spirits that operates at night time. Her parents are turned into pigs after they eat the food of the spirits. She attempts to run away, but Haku advises her to work for Yubaba, until she can find a way to turn her parents back to normal.

Shion is [Mion](https://anilist.co/character/1611/Sonozaki-Mion)'s identical twin sister, who currently resides in Okinomiya. In spite of their different personalities, she and Mion often switch places, and it can be difficult to distinguish between them.

Right before tattooing the symbol of an oni, which is reserved for the older sister, she was mistakenly identified as Shion, the younger sister, which means that she was actually born as Mion Sonozaki, the older sister. Mion is the oldest kid in Keiichi's class. As the elder, she is the class president and everyone looks up to her as the leader. She acts like a perverted tomboy and calls herself old man, but has a hidden girlish side. Mion is next in line to be the head of the Sonozaki household, one of the Three Families which holds tremendous influence in Hinamizawa. Often when playing games with her fellow club members she is known for her ruthlessness, often coming up with the most embarrassing penalties for the losers.  Mion also serves as the leader of the main characters' gaming club.

Misao is a fairly skilled ninja from the Oniwabanshū clan of onmitsu previously based in Edo. Her weapons of choice are the kunai. Misao is about sixteen years old when she is first introduced, though she appears younger. Misao is the granddaughter of the former okashira of the Oniwabanshū. She was in the care of the last leader of the Oniwabanashu Shinomori Aoshi until Aoshi, Han&#039;nya, Shikijō, Beshimi, and Hyottoko left her to Kashiwazaki Nenji, also known as Okina of the Oniwabanashu, when she was eight. She and Okina had a strong bond, though in Misao&#039;s mind, Aoshi remained the best. She also had a special affection for Han&#039;nya, who was always the one to take care of her and taught her how to fight. When she heard that Aoshi was in Tokyo, she went to search for him and runs into Himura Kenshin on the way back to Kyoto.

She is a skilled shepherdess from a church-town named Lubinheigen. Her companion in this profession is a well-trained sheep dog named Enekk.

An honor student in the E.A.T Class and demon weapon partner of Kim Diehl.

The glasses-wearing maid of the Phantomhive household. Mey-Rin is enthusiastic about her job but extremely bad at it (her main fault being clumsy.) She adds too much soap while washing clothes, trips and shatters the good china, and is generally a gigantic klutz. When asked to do an important task, she stutters and panics, which only adds to her natural clumsiness. She owns a pair of glasses that do nothing to improve her clumsiness. However, she refuses to purchase a new pair as they are the first thing Ciel bought for her. It's implied that she has a crush on Sebastian as she is even clumsier when Sebastian is watching. Her glasses cover up her eyes and her maid outfit doesn't show the fact that Mey-Rin is actually quite pretty.   ~!In episode 21 of the anime, it was indicated that Mey-Rin was previously an assassin before Sebastian took her in as the maid of Phantomhive household. She used to be a sniper who did not use a scope, due to her sharp far-sighted vision caused by her ill-fitting glasses. She is also physically fit as she can use a sniper rifle like a handgun and keeps hundreds loaded at once to decrease reload time. Aki comes from a well off family and is known for her brutal treatment of men. As a result, she has gained the nickname "Cruel Princess" from her classmates. She allegedly rejected [Masamune-kun](https://anilist.co/character/81967/Makabe-Masamune) and gave him the nickname "Piggy" when the two were children leading to his transformation and commitment to revenge.

Gabi is very passionate and head-strong, expressing her emotions and opinions without inhibition. She is also brave, possessing boundless determination, and willing to put her life on the line to complete a goal for a perceived greater good. However, these attributes can also make her somewhat overbearing and domineering. This causes her to be tactless at times, forcing her opinions on others and taking charge regardless of whether it was asked for or not.
