Kyoraku is a laid back and flamboyant man, evident in his style of dress and general attitude. He wears a straw hat and a pink flowered haori over his captain's uniform. Although his haori and obi sash are cheap, his pinwheel hairpin is very expensive. In his off time, he can be seen drinking sake and napping. Other times, he likes to chase after women, which is noted by [Yasochika Iemura](https://anilist.co/character/22875/Iemura-Yasochika) of the 4th Squad when commenting in his diary. In particular, he often flirts with his lieutenant, [Nanao Ise](https://anilist.co/character/3095/Ise-Nanao), whom he calls 'my Nanao-chan' (little Nanao).

He is close friends with 13th Division Captain [Jushiro Ukitake](https://anilist.co/character/2682/Ukitake-Juushirou), with whom he graduated from the shinigami academy and works with often.  Kyoraku tends to use a more familiar speech style than most other characters in Bleach. He generally refers to his fellow captains and shinigami by their first name followed by an honorific, and is the only character who dispenses with honorifics when addressing [General Yamamoto](https://anilist.co/character/5726/Yamamoto-Shigekuni-Genryuusai), calling him old Yama (Yama-jī). Even Ukitake, who was also taught by Yamamoto, does not do this.

Kyoraku is a peace-loving man who will always try to talk his way out of a fight. However, he does not wish to insult his opponents by not fighting, either, as he explains to [Chad](https://anilist.co/character/575/Sado-Yasutora). Since he has achieved the rank of captain, it is implied that he must be a powerful fighter, but the true extent of his abilities has not been seen in the anime. General Yamamoto states that Kyoraku and Jushiro Ukitake, both of whom he trained himself, possess "greater powers on the battlefield than any younger generation, or old," suggesting that the two are more powerful than any other captains, with the possible exception of Yamamoto himself.  The slightly eccentric Kyoraku also seems to like making an impression on opponents.

Kurt is Reina's older brother and a 9-year-old boy. He and Reina are the first two humans being devoured by the Queen. Kurt has a desire to protect his younger sister until she finds someone she loves more than him. This desire is so strong that it is passed on to Colt, his reincarnation as a Chimera ant, and has a great influence on Colt's mentality.

"Ciel Phantomhive" is the true head of the Phantomhive house. He is also the identical twin brother of Ciel Phantomhive and Elizabeth Midford's original fiancé. 

"Ciel" looks identical to his brother and they have been stated to be mirror twins, but unlike Ciel, he does not bear a Faustian contract mark on his right eye. Another noticeable difference is that while Ciel's bangs curl to the right, "Ciel's" bangs curl to the left.

He is an individual who exudes confidence and remains unruffled, even when accused of being an impostor. 

"Ciel" has a notably more confident aura than his brother; he is usually seen smiling widely, laughing and playing with Elizabeth. He also did not suffer from debilitating asthma as his twin does.

Poco was a cowardly boy who got bullied by other kids, but was protected by his sister. When confronted by her about when he was going to fight back and live on his own, Poco answered that he would do this "tomorrow", which causes her to slap him.

Lloyd is a teenage boy from the legendary town of Kunlun who left to become a soldier in the kingdom's army. In his village he's known as a weakling who can't perform any typical jobs to the "normal" expected level. However, the standards of this town, in the most dangerous region of the world, are incredibly skewed and truthfully he is terrifyingly powerful by outside standards. He's kind and generous, eager to help and very humble. He excels at cooking and cleaning, but cannot be convinced of his true power.
