Perhaps one of the most noble and tragic characters  Once known as the boy Jinnosuke, he is perhaps the only friend Afro Samurai has ever known. Once a charismatic and young sub-leader of a secret sword school, fate destines that Jinnosuke get horribly disfigured and trapped into the powerful and twisted mechanical teddy bear helmet which earns him the name Kuma(which means "bear" in Japanese).  With his two-sword technique still in tact and even further enhanced by his cybernetic implants, Kuma is nearly unstoppable. Too bad that underneath this frighteningly powerful warrior, is still the troubled mind of a good friend whose life light was snuffed out too early...

Sensei-san, who is never given a real name, looks after the bottle fairies. He is represented by the colors brown and green. It is given that his character teaches them things about the world, but his appearances in the series are rarely significant. However, a love letter in the third episode is a crucial plotpoint to the third episode. Though his job is never stated, the last episode shows that he is a teaching assistant at a university. Renji is one of the most unusual Bleach character, having long crimson hair which is usually kept in high ponytail, and whole upper body tattooed in tribal work. He dresses in normal Shinigami kimono, but he usually wears some kind of headband (it's shown to be rather very expensive glasses or white headband).  In terms of personality, Renji is same as any other Shinigami. His personality varies from cocky and eccentric, to being depressed after he's defeated, all the way to being clueless and funny. Although he's carefree and happy character in most of the series, he can be quite serious, especially when it's the matter of life and death situations for either him or people he hold precious.  He is shown to have rather complicated relationship with his captain, Kuchiki Byakuya. Renji sees Byakuya as the goal he has to surpass. First time, when Renji was still in the Academy, he encountered Byakuya and felt something chilling about him. In the meantime, Renji became Byakuya's lieutenant, and throughout the series, Renji starts to see Byakuya not only as rival, but also as man he can look up to.

Byakuya Kuchiki is the captain of the 6th Division in the Gotei 13 and the 28th head of the noble Kuchiki clan. His lieutenant is [Renji Abarai](https://anilist.co/character/906). 

Byakuya Kuchiki is a part of one of the four noble families in Soul Society. As such, Byakuya acts in an aristocratic manner: he is always quiet and apathetic towards other people, even while actually deeply conflicted. He is notably calm, even in battle. He generally acts indifferent, bordering on arrogance, to most situations he is faced with, and rarely views his opponent as being worth his time. In spite of his icy and regal manner, Byakuya still cares for and protects those important to him.

Byakuya strongly believes in law and order. As a captain of the Gotei 13 and head of one of the great noble families, he works hard for a peaceful society. He feels that if someone in his position does not follow the rules as a good example, no one else will. He believes that to maintain the order, all lawbreakers must be punished, even if it goes against his own wishes. 

Keigo is typically a goofy and an extremely hyper-active character, often using overly-dramatic movements and words to act out his feelings. In other respects, he is the stereotypical Japanese teenager: he enjoys watching fireworks, playing role-playing-games, going to beach parties, and so forth. Originally little more than a source of comic relief, Keigo becomes a more prominent character later in the series. The Asano family consists of Keigo's mother, father, his sister Mizuho, and Keigo himself. Like Tatsuki Arisawa, he is unusual in that he lives with both of his parents, unlike many other recurring characters in the series.  A good-natured teenager, Keigo is used mainly for comical effect, usually in situations involving failed attempts to woo girls and interacting with Ichigo. He is good friends with fellow student Mizuiro Kōjima, whose calm, innocent demeanor, and success with women acts as a foil to Keigo's impulsive, wannabe personality.  Keigo appears to be a shallow character at first glance, with a passion for slacking off. Indeed, he takes great pride in not making it to the honors roster (higher than the 50th ranking) and labels those who do so "traitors" (including Ichigo and Chad, who made the 23rd and 11th ranks respectively). However, Mizuiro states that Keigo is much smarter than his bad grades show.  Later, it is revealed that Keigo can see ghosts and even soul reapers, in the Hueco Mundo/Arrancar arc. The first soul reaper Keigo ever saw was Ikkaku Madarame, who saved him from an arrancar. Kaneda is a young boy who goes at the same school as Yuzu Kurosaki and Karin Kurosaki. He doesn't like Karin much because of her nasty reputation. He likes to play video games with his friends Hashigami and Ino than doing gym class. He's fat and has black hairs. While playing video games, he, Hashigami and Ino were spooked by Kon while the latter possessed Ichigo Kurosaki's body. When they tried to tell their gym class teacher what happened, their teacher didn't believe them and send them into detention. They were saved from a Hollow attack by Kon moments later.

Eishima Shinobu was the 4th seat of the 9th Division in the Gotei 13 and served under Captain Muguruma Kensei .   __Appearance: __  Eishima is a long-haired Shinigami. He bears a strong resemblance to Jūshirō Ukitake, but with hair that is a dark red. His bangs curve more to the side while Ukitake's bangs are only slightly curved to the side. Eishima's bangs however, do not hang over his right eye like Ukitake's. He dresses like the other former members of the 9th Division, with the standard Shinigami uniform and a white jacket that he wears over his Shinigami uniform with a collar that reaches up to his neck.   __Personality: __  Unlike the more cheerful Captain Ukitake, Eishima appears to be a more calm, quiet, and serious person. Along with the other members of the group, Eishima tries to keep his captain's anger under control by restraining him when his lieutenant irritated Muguruma Kensei. He did not seem to be as annoyed by the 9th Division's lieutenant's antics, unlike his former captain.   __History: __ Turn Back the Pendulum arc:   ~!Eishima was first introduced when Muguruma Kensei and other high ranking seated officers of the 9th Division were sent to investigate the disappearance of the Rukongai residents. He and the other 9th Division members were seen saving a young Hisagi Shuuhei and his friends from a Hollow. When Kensei told Hisagi to smile, Eishima told his captain that it was too much to expect from him. After the battle, they learned from Kuna Mashiro (who was absent during the fight) that there were missing Shinigami as well after she discovered 10 empty shihakushō near the Hollow attack site. Kensei connected the number of empty shihakushō that Kuna found with the number of members in a vanguard that was sent to investigate earlier. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Kensei gave various orders to his men. Eishima was ordered to contact Central 46 to alert them of the first Shinigami victims in the case. Later in the night, Todō returned back from the 12th Division as Eishima and Tōsen Kaname stood guard outside. Todō offered to take over guard duty watch from Tōsen so that he could have a break, but Tōsen refused, insisting that all three of them stood guard. Eishima told Todō that they were alternating guard duty in short periods as Kasaki Heizō and Kensei were inside resting and instructed Todō to keep watch at another spot. While Lieutenant Kuna, Kensei and 3rd Seat Kasaki were resting, they heard Eishima's voice as he was attacked. Shu is "plucky," daring and doesn't think before he acts.  He usually will run right into a problem on his own, without thinking or talking to anyone about it.  He has a special relationship with Kluke that he isn't willing to admit out loud.  Shu has the blue dragon shadow, whom Jiro and Zola were looking for at the beginning, because of its unspeakable power.  Near the beginning, he doesn't seem very bright but as the story moves on, many can see how strong his willpower is.  Shu is practically obsessed with knight masters and that's what led him to find Jiro and Zola, whom he thought was a true knight master.  Along his journey with Kluke, Jiro and Zola by his side, he has met the perverted, yet all-for-justice Marumaro (with the Saber Tooth Tiger shadow) and Bouquet (with the unable-to-fight Hippopotamos shadow), his "bride-to-be."

Victor was once the leader of the Alchemy Warriors 100 years ago. Originally, Victor used a regular kakugane until he sacrificed himself to kill the leader of the homunculus of that era. In order to save him, his wife Alexandria transferred Black kakugane 'I' into his heart. However, the power went berzerk and Victor killed everyone in the lab, as well as critically injuring Alexandria. Victor was then forced to flee his home, pursued by Alchemy Warriors and the Homunculus group lead by his own daughter, Victoria, who was also turned into a Homunculus against her own will. Victor managed to destroy a large portion of both forces before he fled to Japan, where he met Chōno Bakushaku, before he became Dr. Butterfly. The two men then struck a bargain; if Victor gave Dr. Butterfly his knowledge of Alchemy, Dr. Butterfly would heal Victor in return. After 100 years, the plan succeeded; Victor was healed and re-appeared in LXE's Ginsei Highschool attack. He managed to kill Kazuki once more, by crushing the Sunlight Heart with his Buso Renkin, Fatal Attraction, this damaged Kazuki's kakugane, and by doing so, Victor caused black kakugane 'III' to awaken, he and Kazuki soon went into a battle, but both warriors soon ran out of energy and Victor was forced to retreat. Afterwards, he traveled around the world, abosrbing large amounts of energy from locations such as New York, Paris, and even the Arctics. Eventually he was forced into the Pacific ocean, where he evolved from stage 2 to stage 3, and battled Sakaguchi Showusei's Buso Renkin, the Buster Baron, however, he used the corpses of ocean creatures, whose energy he had absorbed, and single-handedly destroyed Buster Baron with his own Buso Renkin, the war-axe, Fatal Attraction. He confronted Kazuki then, with Kazuki forcing White kakugane 'II' into his body. However, White kakugane 'II' was only able to revert him back from stage 3 to stage 2. A homunculus created by Koushaku Chouno, considered his finest work. A type of hawk while he was an animal, Washio was shot and killed for sport by hunters, even though his species was supposed to be protected by law. While out gathering butterflies, Chouno came across Washio&#039;s body and taking pity on him, decided to make him a homunculus in order to give him a new life. Unlike Chouno&#039;s other homunculus, Washio has incredible combat prowess due to his natural gifts as a hawk, as seen when he fights off Kazuki and Tokiko in battle at the same time. Also, he is able to transform individual limbs to maximize his combat potential. He&#039;s killed in battle against Kazuiki and Tokiko when Tokiko throws herself at Washio to give Kazuki an opening for his lance. As he crumbles away to nothing, he begs Kazuki to spare his master Chouno and take care of him.

A male DearS exchange student who goes to the same school as Takeya's sister Natsuki. He is something of a black sheep amongst the DearS colony and is generally soft-spoken, and perhaps for that reason is sent on assignments to clear up various mix-ups and solve sensitive DearS-related matters, including bearing witness to a duel and retrieving the forgetful Nia from Takeya Ikuhara's apartment.

A young underground doctor who lives with Celty and is also her lover.  He mostly remains indoors and wears his white doctor's coat even when he is not at work.  He went to the same primary school as Shizuo and Izaya and finds them interesting, enjoying their fights ... up to a point. His father was also a doctor, and as a child,​ Shinra participated in surgery alongside him, the most notable being an autopsy on Celty when they first met.  As a doctor he is rather interested in what he considers to be interesting phenomena, such as the unlimited strength Shizuo shows in times of anger, and Celty's healing, headlessness and bodily functions.   Shinra seems to have the "capacity" to tell what Celty is feeling, much to her surprise since she doesn't have a head to show her emotions.

Chief physician leading the Proxy Research Team, Director of the Division of Health and Welfare, and Re-l Mayer's personal physician. Daedalus displays a strange obsession in Re-l Mayer. He has two Entourages, Deleuze and Guattari.   ~! In the final episodes, Daedalus has been revealed to have created a fake Re-l as a replacement and gives her wings. He also has shown that he is cracked mentally and that he no longer cares what happens to the world. The fake Re-l is taken over by Monad, and leaves. Renaud is another friend of Albert and Franz. A soldier during the previous war, he was saved by Maximilien and introduced him to the group. A man with a love for cars, he is an open and talkative person. He is voiced by MIKI in the Japanese series and by Yuri Lowenthal in the English series.

Yukinari Sasaki, the series main character. Because of his small stature and generally meek disposition, Yukinari has been bullied by girls his entire life and therefore suffers an allergic reaction that causes him to break out in hives whenever he comes into contact with a woman (in 2 instances he loses concioussness after being hugged or touched by girl&#039;s breasts).    One day, he is knocked into his bathtub and is transported to the alien world of Seiren, a planet where men comprise less than 10% of the population. Upon arriving in Seiren, Yukinari meets a young girl named Miharu who for some reason does not cause him to break out on contact.     Yukinari has a bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. This, along with other &#039;close encounters&#039;, gets him kicked, punched, and otherwise beaten up by Kirie. He lives alone in the anime.

Furon is the 17 year old king of Tara, a country which borders Tento. He is beloved by his subjects and well known for his generosity. Fearful for his kingdom's security, Furon was manipulated by the Jester ten years ago into using Enlightened Evil (flash of the demon) to protect his people.   As a result, he physically appears much younger than he actually is, although this is officially explained as being caused by a disease. One of the distinguishing features of the monstrous looking armored suit that he uses in combat to conceal his identity is its blonde mane, and a bounty is placed on the suit by the Weapon Regulations Bureau for the death and destruction that Furon has caused while wearing it.   This leads to Rushuna being confused with the armored suit as the bounty is described as having blonde hair. After Rushuna destroys his armored suit and defeats him, Furon physically returns to his biological age. He then becomes convinced by Rushuna that he does not need weapons such as Enlightened Evil for Tara's protection because all of his people are behind him.  source: wikipedia

Haru is a teenage boy who grew up on a small island called Garage Island. His father left him with his mother and sister to find Rave when he was young. Soon after, his mother died and he was left alone with his sister.  His destiny takes a turn when Shiba gives him the Rave stone, passing on the powers of the Rave Master.  He first fished Plue the Rave bearer out of the ocean, and soon met Shiba, the Rave Master. Haru was chosen as the second generation Rave Master by Rave. When he realizes the true threat that Demon Card are to the world, he then promised Shiba that he will complete the collection of Rave and end all of Demon Card's evil. He then sets off to find the pieces of Rave to restore peace to the world.  He's like his father, Gale Glory, never giving up in a battle, no matter the circumstances. He is not afraid to die for the protection of the planet. Along the way, he found good friends and allies, each having their own goals, yet were bound together thanks to him and helping each other along the way. He is very friendly and has a lot of energy. He is always there for his friends. He promised to protect Elie and when his friends are hurt, he gets really mad and get very motivated to protect them, gathering a rush of great strength.

Joshua is Ray&#039;s brother and is talkative, upbeat and sociable. Though he deeply cares for Ray, he is entirely different in behaviour than his older brother. Joshua claims his brother changed to his present behaviour after his wife, Yoshimo&#039;s, death at the hands of the Claw Man, and although he also loved Yoshimo, he wishes for Ray to accept her death and return home instead of exating his avenge on her killer. Joshua has great technical skills, being able to repair numerous everyday items, analyze armor weaknesses, and even set up timed explosives.    ~!He matures rapidly after Ray&#039;s death, cutting off the connection between the claw&#039;s armor and the planet destroyer system. After The Claw&#039;s death, Joshua helps Van with finding a new orbital port for DANN. Yuuta Takemoto is a second-year student at the art college. He is from Annaka city, Gunma-ken. He lives in the same apartment complex as Mayama and Morita in room 202. His floormates are Morita and Hasegawa. Takemoto studies architecture, but has little certainty as to what he wishes to do upon graduating; his decision to attend art college was because he liked to build things with his hands, like he had with his father.  Takemoto is one of the more mellow characters in the series. He falls in love with Hagu immediately after being introduced by his professor and keeps his feelings to himself throughout most of the series. His love for Hagu and his inability to act upon his feelings as freely as Morita causes some internal problems for Takemoto. For example, when Hagu received a bird brooch that was made for her as an anonymous present, Takemoto couldn't bring himself to say that Morita was the one who had made it for her. Instead of acting on his feelings, Takemoto decides to be more of a brother figure to Hagu, giving her friendly support when needed. For example, Takemoto accepts Hagu's requests to build her sophisticated dollhouses and the like. Takemoto is very close to her.  His relationship with his family also contributes to his mellow mood. His father died when he was still young. Also, his mother works at a hospital as a nurse, so Takemoto would usually spend a lot of his time there, even his Christmas holidays. Furthermore, Takemoto is uncomfortable with his mother's new husband, an outspoken man whose persona seems to a polar opposite to that of his father. However, Takemoto tries to get used to his company and tries to accept the fact that his step-father is capable of looking after his mother, since Takemoto has worried about his mother's well-being ever since he left home. His mother's remarriage and her assurance that he is now free to do as he wishes instead of taking care of her all the time later influenced Takemoto's decision to attend art college.  Later in the series Takemoto has to stay another year due to getting a stomach ulcer and not being able to complete his graduation thesis.   ~! During the end of the first season, Takemoto goes on a journey across Japan on a bicycle, meeting several people on the way, including a group in Zuigan-ji in Matsushima which is involved in the renovating of ancient Japanese structures and buildings all around the country (which he wishes to join), finally reaching Cape Sōya in Wakkanai, Hokkaidō. After arriving back to Tokyo, he finally confesses his feelings for Hagu, but she did not have the courage to answer him, thus Takemoto figured his feelings for her were unrequited.  !~

A short, quiet, patient and persuasive middle school boy who inherits his mysterious grandfather's home at the age of 14. A common source of humor is his dealing with the overeager work ethic of the maids. He is put off by fawning women. (In the original anime series, this was exaggerated into a near-allergic reaction to any contact with a woman except one.) He thinks of his maids as friends and family rather than servants, and treats them as such, much to the consternation of some. He is rather blatantly attracted to Mariel.  During the first series, he usually sports the "sly fox eyes" look, but during La Verite he tends to keep his eyes open more often.
