Albert was originally from Germany. He and his fiancée Hilda attempted to escape to West Berlin in the guise of circus members (Albert drove a truck with an animal cage; Hilda dressed up in a lioness costume and stayed in the cage with an actual lion; this is in the manga, since in the 1980 movie and the 2001 series Hilda was Albert's co-pilot). However, because Albert forgot to retrieve his forged identification from a guard, he panicked and sped off. The border guards opened fire on the truck, injuring Albert and killing Hilda in the process. Black Ghost agents arrived on the scene and lied that they would take Albert to a hospital. In the 2001 series, upon waking up as a cyborg, Albert was stricken with despair and developed suicidal tendencies, worsened by the side effects of his modifications which caused him additional physical pain and strain. This ultimately forced Black Ghost to halt the cyborg program for decades, and put the existing cyborgs in suspended animation until technology developed far enough to make future cyborg soldiers more stable.

Jin Kariya&#039;s original name is Eugene Currier, but he adopts a Japanese-style name later in his life. He has a scar on his chin caused by a slash from a hollow when he was young, short white hair, long upward-curving eyebrows and bright red eyes. He is the most powerful member of the Bount group. In a flashback, it is revealed that Kariya had brown hair and brown eyes when he was a young boy. His hair color and eye color changed when he first merged with his doll.    When first introduced, Kariya&#039;s goal was to acquire massive numbers of living spirits to increase the power of himself and his followers, most notably through the summoning of the bitto. The techniques used had a 50% chance of ripping open the barrier between the mortal world and Hueco Mundo.    This initial plan, however, has been revealed as merely a means to an end. His ultimate goal is not simply to increase his power, but rather to invade and overthrow Soul Society. To accomplish that, Kariya has obtained a device (Jōkaishō) from the Shinigami Research Institute which he claimed would allow him to obliterate Seireitei. However this could also be a means to end his eternal existence.    Kariya seems to be very knowledgeable and intelligent as he has great knowledge of Soul Society. He knew who Byakuya Kuchiki, Rukia Kuchiki and Ichigo Kurosaki were before even meeting them. He was aware of the Four Great Noble Houses of Soul Society, and knew of existence of the Jōkaishō in the Shinigami Research Institute in Seireitei. He is also able to speak both German and Japanese.    Kariya is revealed to have no emotional attachment to any of his subordinates, as he mentions that he sees them only as pawns to achieve his own ends.    Kariya was first created by an experimental error which occurred in Seireitei. Later, in the Bounts&#039; Cave in the real world, he was saved by Rantao from the shinigami who were trying to eliminate the Bounts. Right before Rantao told him to run away while she deals with the shinigami, Rantao gave Kariya his Doll, Messer (&quot;knife&quot;, in German). Kariya merged with the doll when fighting Hollows, and since then his attitude changed, and he became determined to destroy Soul Society. Later, Kariya was against proposals to use the Quincy to return to Soul Society to live, thinking the shinigami would use the Bount as servants. He witnessed a war between the Bount and the Quincy, where the shinigami from Soul Society suddenly came and started to massacre the Bount. Kariya was deeply angered by this, and ever since then, he held a strong grudge against the shinigami. He also decided to give up on weak Bounts, forming his plan to gather all the remaining strong Bounts to him to destroy Soul Society. He perfected doll summoning from being hit-or-miss to a method that would sort out the strong Bounts from the weak, with failure resulting in death. In that way, the Bounts that were power-hungry stayed with Kariya. Sometime in his life, he learned that the shinigami were the ones who created the Bount. Knowing that the shinigami created his race just to destroy them, his grudge against the shinigami only became worse. He later married another Bount, Yoshino Sōma, after stopping her from committing suicide, though he never truly loved her. He was merely trying to gather the Bounts from all over the world in order for him to be able to achieve his goal of annihilating the Seireitei.    Kariya was close friends with fellow Bount Koga Gō for a long time. At some point, Kariya asked Koga to take care of a young Bount, Cain for him. Koga ended up failing when Cain was killed by his doll. At another point in time, Kariya and Koga saved a shinigami, Maki Ichinose, from a hollow in a desert. Ever since then, Maki became loyal to Kariya.

James Ironside is one of Diva&#039;s Chevaliers and Naval co-captain, he regards Diva as his &quot;mother&quot;. His chiropteran form makes his skin as hard as steel. James has a pronounced hatred of the Schiff, whom he feels are inferior creatures.

Kaztano is person that is important to Togusa as he was the one who got him first place tickets to his favorite Idol Ruri Hijiribe, which were quite hard to obtain. It is believed that Kaztano is an Italian foreigner.   While he is an active minor character in the anime, Kaztano does not personally appear in the novels (his name was mentioned though).

One of the soldiers who follow Allen Schezar. He seems to be a leader/captain of the band of swordsman under Allen, as well as the pilot of the Crusade.

Presumed dead in Final Fantasy VII, Rufus returns in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Infected with Geostigma, Rufus asks for Cloud's help to rebuild Shin-Ra. He also hides Jenova's head from Kadaj for most of the movie until he decides to reveal himself.

Roy Mustang is a state alchemist and officer in the Amestrian state military. A hero of the Ishval Civil War and [Edward Elric](https://anilist.co/character/11/Edward-Elric)’s superior officer, Mustang is a remarkably capable commander who plans to become the next Führer of Amestris.

Mustang is a clean-shaven young man with dark eyes. His dark hair is casually unkempt, falling over his eyes; in more formal or somber situations, however, he is known to wear it neatly slicked back. A great fan of classy attire, Mustang is rarely seen out of uniform (and even while in uniform will often don other accouterments, such as a long, black overcoat and white formal-wear gloves), but when dressed in civilian clothes, he appears rather partial to the three-piece suit and black tie (frequently coupled with classic scarves, polished dress shoes, and the aforementioned overcoat and gloves). He tends toward dark or neutral colors in his dress, such as dark blue, brown, and black tempered with minimal white.

On the surface, Mustang is presented as a shallow, self-absorbed, and incorrigible womanizer who is infamous among many of his colleagues and subordinates alike for the selfish and narcissistic aura he gives off. Easily as arrogant as Edward Elric, Mustang is one to act ostentatiously and appears to act mostly out of self-interest rather than any sort of philanthropy. He comes off to most as a sort of cocky layabout, shirking most of his duties and delegating his paperwork to subordinates while sitting idly at his desk with an amused smile on his face as he procrastinates, but is quick to take action when it appears that there is glory and military notoriety to be gained. Mustang is expertly manipulative and prone to think several steps ahead of those around him, giving him a remarkable talent for making subordinates act exactly as he wishes despite appearing not to have had a hand in their decisions - all traits which make the fact that he has managed to attain the lofty rank of colonel at such a young age a matter of public gossip.

Mustang also has a reputation of being a shameless flirt, and it's rumored that he spends much of his time cavorting about town with various women and wooing several of the servicewomen with his abundant charm, good looks, and charisma. This adds another facet to his unpopularity among the enlisted men, many of whom fear having sweethearts and crushes romanced away from them by his hand. He has, however, never actually been shown to be on a serious date with any woman; any flirtatious interactions he had with women seemed to be nothing more than a cover to discretely pass along information.

At the core, Mustang is a remarkably devoted commander whose primary focus and personal duty is to his friends and subordinates. Though he hides it well behind a veil of cynicism and self-importance, Mustang is a man who cares deeply about the people who trust and support him and goes to great lengths to ensure their safety and well-being, even at the risk of his own. As a man with considerable power, Mustang considers himself a protector to those without and acts accordingly, earning the staunch loyalty of his most trusted compatriots.

Orphaned at a young age, Mustang was adopted by his father's younger sister, who brought him up intending to make him into a fine gentleman. Presumably, in his teens, he discovered an affinity for alchemy and took basic instruction in the craft from master alchemist [Berthold Hawkeye](https://anilist.co/character/75922/Berthold-Hawkeye) in the hopes of becoming a source of strength and knowledge for the people of Amestris. However, faced with the increasing frequency of border wars, he left his teacher's charge and enrolled in the state military academy with the intent of becoming a state alchemist and devoting himself to the protection of citizens caught in the crossfire of international struggles. While at the military academy, he became friends with fellow cadet [Maes Hughes](https://anilist.co/character/69/Maes-Hughes), with whom he often discussed his idealistic dreams for the future of the country.

Wohl is the king of the Flame Kingdom. He is very dynamic and his excitement is emphasized by the torches in the throne room.

Among the members of Section 9 he is regarded as one of the least cyberized. He can handle any automatic firearm with deadly accuracy and precision, but his primary role is as the unit's tactical sniper. His left eye was replaced with the "Hawkeye", a prosthetic eye that interfaces with satellites to allow for shots of incredible accuracy.
