Tomoyo (Madison Taylor in the English dub) is the best friend of the series heroine, Sakura Kinomoto. When she discovers that Sakura has become the Cardcaptor, she becomes Sakura's primary assistant by designing "battle costumes" and filming all of her magical (and non-magical) endeavours. (The videotaping, however, seems to be more to Tomoyo's personal benefit and enjoyment than it is to Sakura's.) Tomoyo faithfully keeps Sakura's new identity secret and often covers for her in times of need. Tomoyo is very mature for her age. One of her major character traits is her selflessness towards Sakura. Tomoyo is kind, caring, highly intelligent, beautiful, meticulous, and very melodic (she has a superb singing voice and often has solos in choir recitals). She always speaks using formal verb conjugations and expressions, giving her a unique air of refinement amongst the cast. When needed, Tomoyo can exhibit considerable cunning and resourcefulness, which was most prominently displayed in the final movie.  

Jun is a successful supermodel in Tokyo when the story begins. She is found by a woman, Lan Asuka who forces her to confront a werewolf-like monster called a Devil-beast. As it tears into Jun, her own powers awaken within her and she becomes a Devil-beast herself. She defeats the beast with her new powers and reverts back to her human form. Asuka then tells her that she is a member of a military unit known as the Human Alliance whose purpose is to hunt down and kill all those who are affected with Devil Beast Syndrome. Asuka gives Jun an ultimatum; if Jun doesn't hunt for them, she will be hunted by them. Jun has no choice but to obey Asuka from that point on.      

Jun is a very quiet and timid person who seems to avoid most social interactions, with two exceptions. She is generally open with her manager and outright friendly with an aspiring teen model named Kazumi. As the series progresses she becomes much more independent. She is the second human with devil beast syndrome capable of retaining her ability to reason.

In the manga Jun is very different she is strong and outgoing from the start.  She is also a gym teacher and not a model in the manga.

Hikari Horaki is the class representative of the class that Shinji and the other Eva pilots attend. Like all of her classmates, she is an unknowing Eva pilot candidate. She has a by-the-book demeanor and takes her responsibilities as "class rep" seriously. Although she frequently bickers with Toji, she reveals to Asuka that she has an enormous crush on Toji but is unable to openly express her feelings to him. She also appears to be Asuka's only friend. After the battle with Arael, Asuka seeks out Hikari and stays with her for an unspecified time. During a late evening she reveals her inner insecurities to Hikari, a testament to their friendship; however, Hikari appears saddened by the hateful words Asuka uses.

Hikari is an accomplished cook who appears to take care of her two sisters, [Nozomi](https://anilist.co/character/244735/) and [Kodama](https://anilist.co/character/244734/). Like presumably every one of Shinji's classmates, Hikari's mother is deceased.

_Hikari is named after a character in the novel The Fascism of Love and Fantasies (Ai to Gensou no Fascism) by Ryu Murakami. Her name, and that of her unseen younger sister, Nozomi, and elder sister, Kodama, is also in reference to the names of the trains of the Tokaido Shinkansen line._

She is very perceptive, which can be seen when she tells Chris, that he is very easygoing.

Killua's mother, who was injured while attempting to prevent him from running away from home (although Illumi states that she is proud of Killua for doing so). She dresses in Victorian style clothing and has a visor covering her eyes. She is the maternal figure of the Zoldyck family and is herself an assassin too. She seems to be slightly paranoid and is cautious of Killua's friends Gon, Kurapika and Leorio. Kikyo is eagerly awaiting for Killua to excel in assassination and to continue the family business.

A 17-year-old Junior in high school, Kaizou has led an interesting life. A former genius, Kaizou's life changed the day his friend Umi kicked him off the jungle gym at the local playground. Mima Tokiko, commonly referred to as Key, is the granddaughter of Mima Murao and Mima Tomiko. She appears as a somewhat autistic child throughout the majority of the series. She is looking for 30, 000 friends to restore her humanity.

~!Key, like her mother and grandmother before her, exhibits strong supernatural powers. However, Dr. Mima used a gel, made from a person's life force, extracted from Key's mother to suppress her powers --and her humanity-- in order to keep her safe from Ajo. He encouraged Key to believe she was just another of his many robots in order to deceive Ajo. However, unbeknownst to her, Key is able to awaken and use her powers for short periods during moments of extreme emotional stress. 

Key's presence is disruptive to PPOR robots. This, and the fact that Key is capable of producing an extremely large amount of quality gel, makes her a target for Ajo and his henchmen.!~

She is a young girl who attends Miyu&#039;s school. Miyu befriends the girl and learns some disturbing details about her.

Kazuko is Madoka's class teacher. Her relationships with guys don't last very long, and so she's extremely frustrated in these regards. Many of her classes involve her complaining about men. She also seems to be a friend of Junko Kaname, Madoka's mother.

A 1st year and another new member of the Magic Club. Akane is a spoiled rich girl who often misses going to club meetings in order to go on dates with boyfriends. She seems to be a natural at using magic, and it comes very easily to her (such is her inant skill that she is able to make makeshift wands out of rudimentary objects, though they are rather primative and weak compared to her regular wand), though it can&#039;t be said the same for her flying.     Akane often uses magic for selfish reasons against what Takakura has taught, which causes Sae to lecture her in several instances. In a cute touch, anything affected soley by her magic spins before the spell&#039;s true effect come to pass, something which she has no control over. In the TV series, Akane works as a model and appears in clothing advertisements throughout the city. Her mother is a famous actress.

A classmate of Natsuki&#039;s who works with Mai and Midori in the cafe.She has a crush on Kazuya, and tends to put her hair up in a short ponytail.    When fighting her ponytail becomes undone and her hair becomes shoulder length. Her element takes the form of a pair of tonfa&#039;s which allow her to create wind attacks while her child Harry takes the form of a tiger and attacks by sucking an enemy into its mouth and shredding them.    Akane was also the first to discover the consequences of a HiME losing a battle, and dissapeared with Kazuya during the school festival.

The top Pearl class student at the academy and leader of the Trias. She harbors romantic feelings for Kazuya. Like Mai, she was torn between love and her dreams of becoming a Meister Otome. She was appointed Meister to the king of Florence  in replacement for Rosalie, who had planned to retire, but abandoned her dream to run off with Kazuya. Before the two could consummate their relationship, they were found and Kazuya was dragged off to become the emperor of Cardair, while she was arrested by Otome Pillar #5, Maya Bryce. Akane chose to become his Meister and uses the Malachite of Purity GEM; however, she's not pleased about it. Her Meister Robe is tiger themed and sports a pair of cat ears, as a reference to My-HiME, as her Child was Harry, a tiger type. She is what they call an oni-ko, the daughter of a human and a mushi. She is like a normal human except needs the water of the white bamboo mushi, the mataradak'e, to survive. She is the daughter of the mataradak'e and a human mother

Mima started her career in the pop idol band CHAM which she quit to embrace a career as a drama actress.  Mima-rin is the nickname she is often called by her fans.
