Ichigo Kurosaki is an orange haired teenager who lives in Karakura Town, being a capable student at his High School. But, more importantly, he's a Substitute Soul Reaper.

Ever since he was young, Ichigo has been able to see spirits, to the point where he could not tell the living from the dead. Due to this oddity, he would end up meeting [Rukia Kuchiki](https://anilist.co/character/6/Rukia-Kuchiki), a Soul Reaper. Soon after, once a hollow appeared and threatened his family, he recklessly fought back against it, forcing Rukia to save him by taking the blow of it's attack. Seeing Ichigo's determination to protect his family, Rukia offered to temporarily turn him into a Soul Reaper by piercing his chest with her Zanpakutou and transferring half of her power to him. Ichigo goes through with it, allowing him to make short work of the Hollow, and forcing him to fulfill Rukia's role as a Soul Reaper until she can regain her powers.

Being stubborn, short-tempered, strong-willed, and impulsive, Ichigo often claims not to care about what other people think about him, and attempts to maintain a detached and "cool" image. He generally keeps his face set in a near-permanent scowl, with his eyebrows drawn together. His outspoken, hot-headed demeanor is a trait Ichigo himself has acknowledged, and if somebody picks a fight with him, he cannot help fighting back. Ichigo's resolve in battle can waver at times, which can impede his fighting prowess, and he tends to go into a state of depression and self-loathing when he loses a major fight or lets a friend down. Despite what he lets on, he is genuinely compassionate and empathetic towards others, and doesn't mind helping others when they become upset, or need the support. He is always willing to fight to protect those he cares for, no matter what it is he would be fighting against.

Minoru is a wealthy twelve year old who specializes in Persocoms, and has built his own custom Persocom named Yuzuki, who is meant to be almost exactly like his late sister. He becomes one of Hideki's closest friends when he becomes interested in Chii's origins, and assists him whenever there's a problem. He is calm and collective most of the time, but this attitude tends to change whenever Yuzuki is around, and is prone to outbursts whenever she is in trouble, much like Hideki when Chii is in trouble. He is also a very forgiving character, always telling Yuzuki that it is not her fault whenever something goes wrong.

Toboe is the youngest of the group often acting more like a puppy. Toboe was raised by an elderly woman as a pet. She gave Toboe his silver bracelets. Although she died, Toboe has an affection for humans that none of the other wolves can understand (with the exception of Blue). Toboe looks up to Tsume and usually follows him when the group splits up. He also seems to have the best hearing out of all of them. Toboe seems to be a red wolf or an Arabian Wolf in the series. A dragon of Earth, Nataku is an androgynous clone of extreme psychic ability, born of genetic material of Toujou Kazuki, the deceased granddaughter of the president of Toujou Pharmaceuticals, and her father Masaki. They are sent to retrieve the Shinken by the Chairman Toujou who wishes to destroy the sword so that Nataku cannot become entangled in the matter of the Promised Day.

In the process of stealing the Shinken, ~!Nataku mortally wounds Kyougo — Fuuma and Kotori's father — who was attempting to protect the Shinken. Nataku is haunted by the memories of its previous life as Kazuki, and follows Fuuma unquestionably as Fuuma resembles the person Kazuki cared most for — her father.!~

Shirou is the main character of Fate/stay night. He is a serious yet helpful, hardworking, and honest teenager. His hobbies include fixing a variety of broken things, from VCRs to stoves, as well as cooking and cleaning. He is initially confused about the Holy Grail War and attempts to irrationally shield others from danger, including his own Servant, [Saber](https://anilist.co/character/497)

Tomari is Hazumu's childhood friend who has been with Hazumu for a long time, and most importantly protected him often from bullies. In direct contrast to Hazumu, her most obvious quality is that she is a tomboy which is shown through her actions and lack of interest in traditionally feminine things such as clothing or shopping. Indeed, Tomari's friends of both genders consider her very masculine which often causes Tomari to get angry at such comments. Additionally, she is a member of the Track and Field Club and enjoys physical activities.    Before Hazumu's change, she shows some latent interest in Hazumu and is at first just as shocked as everyone else when he is transformed into a girl. Tomari has always put a lot of effort into supporting Hazumu and defending him whenever he is in despair. Though Hazumu has always been grateful for Tomari's support, at times Tomari later seems to be jealous that Hazumu hangs around with Yasuna a lot more after Hazumu's sex change. Eventually, Tomari seems to develop romantic feelings of her own for the new Hazumu.

Motoko Aoyama is a 15-year-old high school girl who is very formal and into kendo, to the point that her room resembles that of a samurai's (complete with a suit of armor). She claims lineage to a school of demonslaying swordsmen and also displays a prodigious competence with her katana. She can often wreak great damage to boulders or other objects using nothing more than her wooden practice sword. Motoko is very terrified of her sister, Tsuruko, whose skill far exceeds her own, and has a phobia of turtles that is left unexplained for the majority of the series. She disapproves of Keitaro early on, on the basis of him being a letch and a weakling, but later develops a grudging respect and eventually a hidden affection for him (much to her chagrin). She is at first uncomfortable with her femininity, partially because her sister left her sword for a husband, partially because of her height: she is the tallest person in the house, 3 cm taller than Keitaro (171cm). She later becomes more open due to Keitaro's influence. Whatever her feelings for Keitaro happen to be at a given time, she still frequently threatens or attacks him with her sword.

Chiaki is twenty-one years old and a 3rd-year piano student at Momogaoka Music Academy at the start of the series. He is an accomplished pianist and violinist, but is also known to be a perfectionist and highly critical of himself and others. He comes from a distinguished and well-off family, and is a fairly good cook. He seems to think that most &quot;poor&quot; people (such as Sakura Saku) are like the little match girl.     While he dreams of studying abroad and becoming a famous conductor like his mentor, Sebastiano Viella, he must overcome his fear of flying and the sea to do so (he finally did with help of Nodame&#039;s hypnosis).     He is dismayed to discover that the freakish but talented girl, Nodame, lives in the apartment next door to him. However, he develops a sort of empathy with Nodame as he discovers her hidden potential to be a great pianist, and he begins to transcend his perfectionism and begins to enjoy her music and the music of others.     Despite his constant irritation towards Nodame, he eventually develops romantic feelings towards her and he chooses to find a work as a conductor in Paris, where he is going to study.     As Chiaki realizes his life&#039;s ambition to become a conductor, he also finds that he needs Nodame&#039;s support and that he cannot move on without her. He also appears to have fear of being abandoned and surpassed, the former comes from being abandoned by his father as a young boy. Afraid of being abandoned, he often abandons other people instead, especially Nodame. Also he&#039;s constantly afraid of being surpassed by Nodame, trying to go even further from her, which leaves her miserable as she is trying to catch up to him. He also can be considered as insensitive.

Shiro is a young soldier that has been chosen to be the leader of the 08th MS team. He is very confident of his abilities, and wants to get back at the Zeon Forces for destroying his home colony Side 2. Eventually Shiro learns that Earth combat is much different from Space combat, and he slowly loses trust from his team as he falls in love with a Zeon Pilot, Aina Sahalin.

A young man who finds himself engaged to Yuri after a mistake. His appearance is so influential, that several dying people in the hospital have a miraculous recovery after laying eyes on him. Wolfram possesses fire magic, as well as being adept with a sword. He is the half-brother of Conrad and Gwendal. He has extremely high pride and is hot-headed. He is arrogant and short-tempered but can also be quite compassionate at times. Wolfram is obsessed with Yuri and insists on following him everywhere as he claims it is his duty to protect his fiancé, though he also seems to want to prevent him from cheating on him.

Koushiro Izumi is a character in the anime and manga series Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02 and Digimon Adventure tri.. He is a DigiDestined, partnered with [Tentomon,](https://anilist.co/character/9953/Tentomon) and the bearer of the Crest of Knowledge. 

Izzy is a computer expert and spends a large fraction of his time trying to figure stuff out on his "PiBook" laptop. He is very intelligent and knowledgeable, and often gets lost in thought while trying to figure out something new. He is extremely curious about the nature of the Digital World, and works ceaselessly to learn whatever there is to know about it. He is resourceful and dutiful, and quick to help his friends. He is somewhat socially awkward, even as a teenager when he is more confident in his ability. In the Japanese version, he is extremely polite. 

Izzy is initially a member of the soccer club with [Taichi "Tai" Kamiya](https://anilist.co/character/1907/Taichi-Yagami) and [Sora Takenouchi,](https://anilist.co/character/2276/Sora-Takenouchi) though he isn't particularly good at the sport. He later becomes the president of the computers club.

A very straightforward character who is devoted to awakening Yasuhiko from his coma. His cheerful personality has won him many friends inside The World. Though polite to strangers he shows a rather witty sense of humour to those he&#039;s close with. He is the type of person who will stop whatever he&#039;s doing to help somebody who&#039;s in trouble. He spends a lot of his time online with his friend and partner BlackRose.     In the real world Kite is a 14 year old boy in his second year of Junior High. He lives somewhere in Japan and goes to school with his close friend Yasuhiko

The main character. A citizen of Japoness, a country of Terra II which resembles feudal Japan &amp; guardian of the Japoness Sabers: Lime, Cherry, &amp; Bloodberry. He eventually discovers the three marionettes and forms a sort of family with them. Initially, Otaru seems to be very asexual and becomes constantly overwhelmed by the marionettes and their affection, which he returns only platonically, and equally to the three. His weapon is a sai in which the blade can extend to become a sword and the tail of it can be used to reel his friends to safety. Has a distinctive two-color hair-style of light brown on the front and dark brown in the back.

The second prince of the Imperial Family. Chagum bears the egg of the water spirit originally defeated by his ancestors. The spirit is said to be the cause of the &quot;Drought Sign&quot; read by the Empire&#039;s Star Diviners and in order to not shame the Imperial Family, Chagum has been silently condemned to death by his father, the emperor. To save her son, the empress hired Balsa to protect the Chagum&#039;s life and flee from the imperial palace.

Syaoran is a distant relative of [Clow Reed](https://anilist.co/character/3612/Clow-Reed), the creator of the Clow Cards. As a member of the Li clan of sorcerers from Hong Kong, of which Clow's mother was a member, Syaoran believes that he should be the one to inherit the Clow Cards rather than [Sakura Kinomoto](https://anilist.co/character/2671/Sakura-Kinomoto). A genius swordsman of the Shinsengumi and master of the Tennen-rishin ryu sword style. Okita was the captain of Shinsengumi's First Unit. In the OVA, he often fought together with Saito and was involved in the Ikedaya Affair in 1864. On one of his night encounters with Kenshin, he eagerly draws his sword and comments that Kenshin's Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryuu gets better every time he sees it.

Doraemon is a robotic cat (though he is frequently mistaken as a tanuki) that was sent back in time to help [Nobita](https://anilist.co/character/4303/Nobi-Nobita).

Ryoko Hakubi is a main character in the Tenchi Muyo! metaseries. She is a semi-reformed space pirate who is madly in love with Tenchi Masaki, the main protagonist. She is always shown to have a very competitive relationship with Princess Ayeka, who also has a very strong romantic interest in Tenchi.

In the Tenchi Muyo OVA Ryoko is a binary clone, the product of combining the DNA from an ova of Washu Hakubi with the DNA of a powerful aquatic lifeform, known as Masu. 

In the Pretty Sammy OVA, Ryoko appears as a schoolgirl, Ryoko Orikasa, a yankee. She and Ayeka constantly bicker over Tenchi Kawai's affections.

~!In the Pretty Sammy TV series, Ryoko appears in the last few episodes starting with episode 23 as Oryo, or "Overly Splendid" Oryo (素晴らしすぎるお魎), bodyguard to Queen Tsunami of Juraihelm. Lucciola is Dio Eraclea's loyal friend/bodyguard. He is an exceptional martial artist. He was assigned the role of protecting him from a very early age, and Dio considers Lucciola not just a servant, but also a friend.    ~!Lucciola is forced to betray that trust out of fear of Maestro Delphine Eraclea when Maestro ordered him to bring Dio back before her. Lucciola then redeems himself by helping Claus, and Alvis and Dio escape from the grasp of the Maestro. In a confrontation against the Maestro, Lucciola kills his brother, Cicada, and is then disintegrated by a device (a ring) that is given to him by Maestro Delphine as a "gift."  Lucciola's name is the Italian word which means firefly.!~

Represents the Hungry Ghosts Realm, is the sister of Hinata, and has the incredible ability to eat anything without ever feeling satisfied and without changing her appearance. Also has some political skills, as she is the president of the student council of the High School the group attends. Her love of politics seems based in a joy of enforcing the rules. She also has her own internet site, "Dr. Sakura," where she berates she calls "hopeless" in what some might consider an attempt to help them - though she obviously gets a good deal of sadistic enjoyment out of ridiculing their complaints. (The anime suggests that she herself might qualify as a "hopeless" person). She seems to pull Ikkou into doing extra work for her own (or her sister's) convenience, or for the temple. All in all, she is a sadistic character, but she is not without concern for other people, and is especially attached to her younger sister, Hinata.  [Wikipedia]

Asuka Kaminogi is Haruka's mother. She is often spaced out; for example, late in the series, she doesn't realize her daughter has disappeared until her whole house vanishes. Ran Tsukikage is a wandering female samurai who often describes herself as a "Beautiful woman". She is extremely skilled with the katana and is practically unbeatable. The only thing that matches her skill with the sword is her craving for sake (rice wine).  All we know about her past is that she learned the way of the sword from a samurai named Junzaburo Shiina. Apparently,this Shiina also gave Ran her first taste of sake. Shiina and Ran once had a relationship, but have since parted ways. These days, Ran is often joined by Meow [Myao].

A traumatized boy who lives a hermit's existence in his room and does not go to school after cracking under the pressure of entrance exams. He spends a lot of time in front of his computer, and has a hobby of ordering things from the Internet—mostly fake magical or occultic implements—and then returning them before he has to pay, for the thrill of receiving something ridiculously stupid. He is also interested in cars and collects miniature versions of them. When he comes into possession of Shinku and winds her up, he is unwillingly caught in the crossfire of the Alice Game—Shinku declares him to be her "servant" and demands that he obey her at all times. Jun is extremely skilled at crafts and at sewing. Although he is arrogant, and occasionally cold and rude, he cares for others but typically refuses to let his feelings show. He is especially friendly with Hina Ichigo, and at times, blushes around Shinku, which portrays that he cares deeply for her.

Kouji's younger brother. Kouji is very protective of Shiro, as he is the only family the other has. At least, as far as he knows. Taken in by his father after Mazinger Z is defeated by Ankoku Daishogun.

The strange creature that [Haru](https://anilist.co/character/3749) discovered, Plue is the Rave Bearer, and is able to sense the presence of the other Rave Stones. Plue's nose also has the ability to destroy dark brings. Plue is quite fond of sweets - especially lollipops. Plue hates pudding. He has the ability to utilize the rave of conflict which powers him and Haru up.

Plue has since shown up in Fairy Tail as one of [Lucy](https://anilist.co/character/5186)'s stellar spirits (Nicola, Canis Minor) and quickly named Plue and has been noted to only agree to be summoned on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  (Source: Wikipedia)
