Briareos is a prime example of the technology of cybernetic implants in Appleseed. Although his body is almost completely artificial, he suffers little loss in humanity. His outer skin is elastic, capable of feeling sensation, and the temperature can be adjusted to the cyborg's preferences. He has eight eyes mounted on his head, four in his face (The large sensor in the middle is actually his nose) two at the bases of his "rabbit ear" sensors, and two at the tips, which allow him to safely look around corners. His brain is augmented by an auxiliary brain that acts as an information processor, and is capable of handling information in a conceptual format rather than hard numerical data. His cybernetics controller, the Hecatonchires system, is named after the same 100 handed giants from Greek mythology. It is capable of controlling dozens of limbs or other cyborg bodies independently from one another, with no additional strain on the user. In the manga, it is pointed out that a cyborg equipped with the Hecatonchires system is able to fully control an entire aircraft carrier on his own. This ability to process multiple limbs at once is seen in the film when he is seen using one rifle in his Landmate's arms, and another in the control arms.   Note: Briareos is the only known cyborg who has successfully integrated with  Hecatonchires system, all other test subjects could not handle it and died. 32nd Arrancar in Sōsuke Aizen's army and one of Barragan Luisenbarn's six Fracci&oacute;n.     Poww is arguably one of the tallest characters in the series. He is a very large Arrancar: the largest of Barragan's Fracci&oacute;n and towers over even Sajin Komamura, one of the tallest Shinigami in the Gotei 13. His Hollow hole is not visible but his mask remnants consist of a large plate across his chin with two horn-like appendages. He also has two green triangle-like lines running just below his eyes that have circles in them. His hairstyle is that of a Medieval monk. Poww wears the standard white Arrancar uniform but it is customized to look like a Chinese garb with long sleeves that expose his very large hands. He wears a default hakama like all other Arrancar and his sandals are similar to Ggio Vega's, resembling traditional martial arts training shoes.     Despite his massive size, Poww displays a calm, contemplative, and serious personality and rarely speaks. He can be arrogant and overconfident, however, as seen when he defeated Ikkaku Madarame in battle. He often insults his opponents' appearance, commenting on Ikkaku's baldness and Komamura's being an anthropomorphic canine. Like his fellow Fracci&oacute;n, he holds his master Barragan in high regard, calling him his &quot;god&quot; and praying to him before battle.

Muramasa is a mysterious man who has the power to release Zanpakutō spirits from their owners. He is a soft spoken man with brown messy hair, pale skin and dark marks around his eyes. He wears a white coat with fur around the neck and has extremely long nails. He, himself, is also a zanpakutō.

Yasutora Sado, or as his friends call him, Chad, is a teenager of Mexican descent who is close friends with [Ichigo Kurosaki](https://anilist.co/character/5/Ichigo-Kurosaki). He is extremely tall and appears to be much older than he actually is.

Chad is a quiet person and is sometimes the subject of jokes or bullies because he never fights back, against ordinary humans, or often hollows and Soul Reapers until necessary. Nonetheless, he is treated equally within his group of friends in Karakura (Ichigo, Keigo and Mizuiro). Chad also has a weakness for cute things, like small animals and Kon, and is one of the few characters that actually treats Kon with any dignity but for the most part ignores him. To match his extraordinary size, Chad possesses extraordinary superhuman durability, even before activating his spiritual powers, being able to survive the impact of a falling steel girder on his back and a head-on motorcycle collision, and is strong enough to break telephone poles and wield them as giant clubs, even when already injured. Besides his physical strength, Chad has also shown to be very intelligent; he ranked 10th out of 322 in school, while Ichigo ranked 23rd.

Tokoro Tennosuke is a walking, talking, blocky, human shaped mass of tokoroten (a type of very cold jelly). His moldable body makes him compareable to Gumby. His Japanese name is a pun on &quot;tokoroten&quot;, hence his ability to shape himself into any form. His name in the English dub is probably a trademark-friendly reference to Jell-O Jigglers, a snack made from fruit juice and powdered gelatin.    Tennosuke appears, at first glance, as the most serious of the main Hajike trio of the series. Not as necessarily happy-go-lucky as either Bo-bobo or Don Patch, Jelly tries to remain calm while merely performing his strange actions. However, his serious nature hides the extremely emotional and over-the-top emotions that the wobbly warrior exhibits. His moments of calm are contrasted to periods where he could be angry, upset, even silly like his comrades. The contrast between his serious and his emotional sides are reflections of his period at the supermarket, being forced to try and get himself sold and the usually emotional followup from the disappointment of remaining unused for his primary objective of consumption.    By the time he officially joins Bo-BoBo&#039;s team, he possesses a handkerchief with the Japanese hiragana for &quot;nu&quot; (ぬ) written all over it (ぬのハンカチ, the &quot;handkerchief of &#039;nu&#039;&quot;, known in English dub &quot;The Lucky Hanky&quot;) which he uses to wipe away tears at first, but eventually leads to an all-out &quot;nu&quot; obsession. By contrast he utterly despises the hiragana character, &quot;ne&quot; (ね)! Besides the ne character, Tennosuke will not tolerate tofu. The tokoroten man despises it with a passion, to the point where his worst nightmare is being tortured by tofu men! This hatred could stem from the fact that tofu sold even better than he did while in the supermarket, or it could be a simple rivalry with another squishy food. 

A member of the Press Bureau Staff of Hi-TV. He is a graduate of the Imperial Britannia Central University's Faculty of Law. He seems to be quite interested in Zero, and the way he manipulates the media for his ends. He later joins the Order after getting demoted for allowing Zero to broadcast his message introducing the Order of the Black Knights. In the very first episode it is shown that he also harbors contempt for the royal family of Britannia and the bootlickers that surround them.   

Norb is a powerful Vodarac priest. He can be considered the main influence towards Holland leaving the SOF after Norb explains to him what Dewey is trying to do and the consequences it entailed for the planet and humanity. Despite his occupation as a priest, Norb smokes, eats unhealthy junk food (such as pizza and chips), and barely reflects any religious point of view even when asked to do so.

~!Rider was originally meant to be summoned by Lord Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald, but due to some circumstances, he ended up being Waver Velvet's servant. Iskandar, or how he refers to himself, the King of Conquerors is a noble and courageous man, who prefers to conquer his enemies by winning without killing and controlling without humiliating. He is known as a marvelous ruler who once almost conquered the whole known world. He is not pragmatic, but is a person who lets history run its course and acts according to his impulses. While he is wild and somewhat inconsiderate to others, his greed ultimately resulted in the happiness of the people he ruled over.  In the new era, Rider is mostly amazed by ordinary modern things, and usually spends his free time exploring modern war vehicles and machinery.!~

A mysterious nobleman living in luxury. The Count approaches and befriends Albert in Luna as the first step in his plan of revenge against the people who once betrayed him.  ~!The Count's previous identity was Edmond Dantès, a sailor who worked for the Morrel family's shipping company. Edmond was imprisoned in the Château d'If on false charges, and it was there that he met Gankutsuou (known as The Ruler of the Cave in Animax's English adaptation). In exchange for the strength and means to gain revenge, he allowed the cold-blooded demon to possess him. Because of Gankutsuou, he is afflicted with an odd condition which causes his body to be crystalline, revealing his bones and internal organs.!~

Brad Wong, a.k.a. "Blood War", is an assassin who is credited for killing 327 men.  However, in the series he was released from prison after serving for 5 years.  To him, peacetime is too boring for him, and relishes the thrill of battle.  He is also the best friend of Cannon Vulcan, and joins him in the Lightning group after leaving the Volcano group.     ~!  After Vulcan shows Blood War the Necrolization process, created by Dr. Tokioka, and how it can create almost invincible soldiers, Blood War then kills his entire group and has them Necrolized.  He then has them sent against Millennion - with a little information from an inside spy within the group, Vulcan's little brother Balladbird Lee - and succeeds in killing two top members.    However, in battle with Brandon Heat and Bunji Kugashira, Blood War discovers a major flaw in the Necrolization process... it only lasts a week before the men break down into pieces.  Not willing to give up, Blood War then takes a Necrolization serum before killing himself.  However, the Necrolized Blood War was later destroyed by Bear Walken and his Overkill squad.!~

Georges Head is the father of Lavie Head. His wife died in childbirth, leaving him to raise Lavie as a single parent. When the Valca family moved next door, he immediately became good friends with Hamilcar Valca and served as his vanship navigator. Walker is the owner of the Casino Royale, an airborne casino and repair station where many ships arrive for their shore leave. He is an acquaintance of Alex Row and refers to the Silvana as his &quot;outlaw friends&quot;. When the Silvana arrives for repairs from its battle against Guild fighters, Walker provides a tip to Alex Row on the Exile artifact being sold in auction at Horizon Cave. Despite almost never taking a starring role, Duke Red is, without a doubt, one of Tezuka’s major stars.  Whether he’s been cast as a bandit, a pirate, a university professor or a judge, his classy aristocratic style and larger-than-life performances steal any scene he’s in.

Although he has a wide range of performance experience, he is usually cast in the role of the refined criminal mastermind, a politician with an ominous air, or a captain of industry with devious intent – and is more often than not surrounded by a gang of henchmen, including Hamegg and Acetylene Lamp, to do his bidding.

Duke Red first burst onto the stage with his debut (and namesake) role in Metropolis (1949) as the head of the notorious Red Party.  Since then he has gone on to many prominent and memorable roles, notably as Judge Porfiry in Crime and Punishment (1953), “Wild Bill” Hecock in Age of Adventure (1951-53) and Mr. Nikula in Black Jack (1973-83).  He also had a less well known, but humourously appropriate appearance as the title character in Cyrano the Hero (1954) – one of his only starring roles.

In the "Metropolis" film incarnation of Duke Red, he is a plutocrat who funds both the Ziggurat, a skyscraper-sized machine built to spread the mankind's power across the world, and the Marduk, a vigilante group for suppressing malfunctioning robots. He also commissioned Tima's creation, who resembles his deceased daughter, to act as the core controller to the Ziggurat.

TACHIBANA Yoshiaki, usually called by his old name NAOE, comes into Takaya's life as a mysterious rescuer, and soon becomes his close helper in carrying on the lonely and hard-fought 400 year old battle to exorcise warring ghosts. He protects Takaya, trying to make him again into a powerful proud leader. However, he seems to have many dark secrets and a lot of guilt from their previous lives together which Takaya does not remember.  In this life, Naoe was born into a Buddhist monk's family, and is now a tall, well-groomed handsome man in his late 20s.  On the surface, Naoe is calm, reserved and competent, albeit too secretive, and a reliable right hand man to Takaya (Kagetora). In a few volumes, however, we discover his true nature, his boundless passion and obsession with Takaya (Kagetora), and his strong attraction to and burning envy of Takaya's superiority. The intense painful love- hate relationship between the two protagonists is a driving force of the whole series.  Naoe loves Takaya and devotes himself entirely to him but he resents Takaya's superior strength, power, and independence in the relationship. Naoe cares for Takaya, calms him when needed, and would die for him, but also nurses a devouring desire for and resentment towards him. It is suggested that Naoe did something brutal and unforgivable 30 years ago to Kagetora's then (female) lover Minako, and the tragedy caused Takaya's loss of memory in this lifetime.

Hashirama Senju was a member of the famed Senju clan. He himself was hailed as the "God of Shinobi" for his unmatched ninja prowess. Hashirama sought peace for the shinobi world, and to that end founded Konohagakure with his clan. In his early years, after they and their clans had been fighting constantly, he had his clan allied with Uchiha Madara, and the two of them, with their clans, founded Konoha. Later on, Madara left the village over the policies of the village and his clan. This conflict resulted in battle with Uchiha Madara and the nine-tailed fox at the Valley of the End. To commemorate the battle, two statues of Madara and Hashirama were carved into the earth around the waterfall. However the war still waged on, and unsure of the title of Hokage he would not only appoint his brother as his successor as the Second Hokage (Nidaime Hokage), but in a common decision with his brother they also decided that one of their students Sarutobi should become the Third Hokage (Sandaime Hokage), which in turn seemed like a wise decision as both brothers would eventually die during the wars. 

He was most famous for his unique Wood Release techniques, a kekkei genkai that is a mixture of earth and water-natured chakra that creates this new element. By converting chakra into the source of life, he was able to create trees, causing them to grow to great sizes and manipulate them to diverse shapes and battle uses at will. In an instant, he could shape the entire battlefield for his own uses.
