Hamako Shihonmatsu is the animation director of Studio Petit. It is mentioned though that she once began with the post of an animator.  Hamako is a high-class specialist. She may seem cold and unapproving at the first sight, but she is actually caring and warm-hearted. She was the one who gave Kuromi some useful tips and advices when Kuromi was in need. Hamako also feels responsibility towards the studio&#039;s product and wishes it to be at the highest level possible. She prefers not doing the work at all rather than doing it badly. Hamako is a heavy chainsmoker. However, she tries to quit as she sees smoking women as &quot;not pretty&quot;.

Colette is the beloved mother Najda is searching for. She is the daughter of a Duke, and is thus of extremely high social status. This meant very little however, when she met Raymond, a handsome musician. It was the night of her first ball, and love at first sight for the both of them. Colette risked her father's wrath to elope with Raymond, and shared many happy days with him. They both had great love for their daughter, Nadja. Unfortunately great illness and cruel fate would separate Colette from her daughter. Saki is a psychic girl with a goth-like appearance who has the ability to sense people&#039;s &quot;auras&quot; and send out electric waves (denpa in Japanese). Much like Arisa, Saki is extremely protective of Tohru, who was the first person in school who had truly accepted her. She is very observant, polite, and loves to eat (and is rarely seen not eating outside of school). Her nickname (Hana-chan) and her manga symbol, a violet with fangs, relate humorously in that hana means &quot;flower&quot; in Japanese. Hanajima has a close relationship to her family who accept and even nurture her gifts (her younger brother, Megumi, looks up to Hanajima, has his own special ability so that she wouldn&#039;t be the only &quot;weird&quot; one in the family). Her mother seems to resemble Tohru&#039;s protective and caring nature (maybe explaining her attachment to Tohru). In the near &quot;parental&quot; protection she and Arisa give Tohru, she acts as the protective &quot;motherly&quot; figure. ~! When Kazuma comes in for Kyo&#039;s parent/teacher conference, Hana notes that he is &quot;handsome&quot;. Kyo is not too keen on the idea of Saki as his &quot;mother&quot;.!~

[Tohru's](https://anilist.co/character/207) mother: When she was young, Kyoko caused trouble and cut classes, and was disowned by her parents following a gang fight. She hated her family, as her father felt she wasn't needed in the world and her mother only cared about the appearance of the family. She was also the leader of an all-female suicide gang. In this she was called 'The Red Butterfly', the name originating from the legend of how the tail lights on her motorcycle danced like a bright red butterfly when she rode at night. However, Kyoko later moved on and got a job.

At some point, Kyoko fell in love with a student teacher named [Katsuya Honda](https://anilist.co/character/9230), which contributed to her leaving her gang. After she was beaten by her gang and disowned by her parents, he stood up for her and proposed to her. They shortly married and had a daughter, Tohru. Katsuya became a positive influence in her life, and they worked through difficulties in a joint effort. ~!When he died from illness, however, Kyoko descended into a deep, almost depression-like sadness, neglected Tohru, and almost committed suicide by throwing herself into the sea, thinking she could go meet Katsuya (Kyoko had never seen the ocean before, so Katsuya took her one day). Just as she was about to jump however, Kyoko came to her senses as she saw a girl and her mother by the seaside; she came back home and found little Tohru waiting for her return at the door, similar to how Katsuya greeted her. Kyoko then vowed to never again disregard Tohru for whatever reason; she raised Tohru by herself, not to mention the care she offered Arisa Uotani and Saki Hanajima, Tohru's best friends.!~

When Tohru disappeared one day as a young child Kyoko was in hysterics, even going so far as to threaten the police if they did not find her. After she was eventually found by Yuki Sohma, who had heard Kyoko's description of Tohru and lead the confused girl home, Kyoko was overjoyed.    

She's the commanding officer of Hamdo's army, and the only person admitted close to the emperor. He calls upon her for support and comfort, but also abuses her when she does not fulfill his needs, especially concerning the case of Lala Ru and military matters. Ran Tsukikage is a wandering female samurai who often describes herself as a "Beautiful woman". She is extremely skilled with the katana and is practically unbeatable. The only thing that matches her skill with the sword is her craving for sake (rice wine).  All we know about her past is that she learned the way of the sword from a samurai named Junzaburo Shiina. Apparently,this Shiina also gave Ran her first taste of sake. Shiina and Ran once had a relationship, but have since parted ways. These days, Ran is often joined by Meow [Myao].
