However he is revealed to be a weak ill man who gets nosebleeds when he gets overexcited, but loves his daughter dearly and only wishes for her to be happy and untainted by this world. Yet when he met Rei he could easily see the killer intent in his eyes and warned him that if anything were to happen to his daughter, he would be next.

A former lieutenant colonel and Holland's brother, Dewey was imprisoned as punishment for Holland and the SOF's desertion, for which they believed him to be responsible. This is also apparently part of the attempt to shut down the remnants Adrock Thurston's project. Dewey is later released and promoted to colonel by order of the government, taking Dominic and Anemone under his command. In a complicated and carefully calculated plan, he undermines the public's faith in the Sage Council and overthrows them.

Ayerton is first seen in the series as a scientific officer aboard US warship Abraham; he states he&#039;s been sent on a secret mission to investigate the sea monsters phenomena. Later in the series, Jean and Nadia meet him again partially buried on a mysterious moving island, completely drunk and telling stories about a strange witch who inhabits the island (who naturally turns out to be Grandis). While on the island, Ayerton falls in love with Grandis, and to strike her, he pretends to be an English nobleman who&#039;s going to inherit a large wealth from his family.    Ayerton is quite a weird, loudmouthed character, who is never really able to completely grasp the reality around him, and to tell good from evil. Hayami Ryuuichi is a good boxer with a lethal weapon called Shotgun. He is said to have more speed and talent than even Miyata. He has alot of fans (mostly females). He also believes in the Shotgun to get him out of any trouble,  ~!however when Ippo Makunouchi starts to read the rythmn of the Shotgun, Hayami is left in shock as Ippo takes full advantage. !~  He is also seen at episode 45 on a karaoke video &quot;Champion&quot; sang by Takamura Mamoru, wearing Japanese Featherweight Boxing Champion belt.    ~!He fought against Kobashi Kenta in the Junior Featherweight class, however he lost by K.O. due to an achilles heel in his weak chin. He shortly retired after that title match.!~

Galden is the main antagonist for the majority of the show.     ~!Near the middle/end of the show he cuts his ties with Idoro, and continues fighting on his own.  Then in episode 44 he falls under the control of a hell dragon woman, though in the end he overcomes her spell and gets injured fighting for, or with the other Ryus and nearly dies.    After this most of the Ryu riders accept that he might be a good guy after all, all except Sarutobi. Who cannot forgive Galden for stealing his spirit stone.  But in the next fight Galden returns the stone to Sarutobi, gaining Sarutobi's trust only after he appears to die. As it turns out he did not die but was saved by the white dragon and comes to help fight in the last big battle of the series.    After which he says that he is going to try going to the country in which he was born. Then decide what to do after that.    The last time we see Galden he is walking away with his back to the group and waving. !~   

A Buddhist 'houshi,' or low-ranking, itinerant monk, Miroku traveled the countryside performing services such as exorcisms and yōkai exterminations to earn his living. He suffers from a hereditary curse originally inflicted upon his grandfather Miyatsu (also a Buddhist monk) by Naraku, who exploited Miyatsu's weakness for attractive women by taking the shape of one, and reflected one of Miyatsu's ofuda back to pierce the palm of his right hand (it appears to be his left hand in the English language manga where right and left are reversed). The hole in his hand became a kazāna (air void or "wind tunnel") which sucks in anything not nailed down, regardless of mass. Miroku uses the kazāna as a powerful weapon against yōkai, but as he grows older, the kazāna grows inevitably larger, and if the curse is not broken by Naraku's death, it will grow too large to control and consume Miroku himself - the same fate his grandfather and his father have already met. Probably as a result of this, Miroku takes a hedonistic approach to life which is uncharacteristic of a proper monk; he is a talented con artist who does not hesitate to invent fictitious supernatural menaces which he can then offer to combat in return for food and shelter, and like his grandfather he has a distinct weakness for pretty women. He makes a point of asking every attractive woman he meets if she will bear his child, claiming that he wants to be sure of an heir to continue his pursuit of Naraku if he dies, and his hands have a seemingly uncontrollable habit of wandering - something which often gets him soundly thumped by Sango, the favorite subject of his groping. However, in spite of his less-than-saintly behavior, Miroku proves to have a core of deep spirituality and, as a result, impressive spiritual powers. ("Miroku" is Japanese for Maitreya.)

Devoted husband and Demon Tribesman Shoma Shibuya tries to please his family despite working long hours. Shoma met his wife Miko at a party marrying her shortly thereafter. He spends long hours working in the Demon Ranks often causing him to lose touch with his family. He loves his family and tries to spend all the time he can with them despite his schedule.  

Dr. Akai is a formidable wizard with great powers of his own. Despite his laid-back appearance, he has Kazuki&#039;s best interests at heart. Thought the series Dr. Akai uses a variety of eye lenses that he carries around and through which he uses his magic.

Captain Tylor is a very carefree guy with an upbeat personality. His goofy and laid back nature tends to lead people to underestimate him. If there are rules that he doesn't agree with he simply uses his authority as captain to change them to his will, much to the other officers' chagrin. He knows very little about actually commanding a ship and leaves many duties to his lieutenants.

His kindness and aloofness draw people to him. If someone is feeling down he will do his best to cheer them up, no matter who that person may be. He holds no grudges toward anyone and never gets truly angry. His bouts of seriousness are far and few between, but when they do happen they are always moments to be remembered.

In the face of danger he would much prefer to run than fight. He is rather cowardly in this respect and is scared rather easily. He can also appear quite lazy and often shirks his duties. However, when push comes to shove, he is always willing to risk his own life for the sake of his crew. 

Tylor is talented at judging a person's character and genuinely cares for other people, especially his crew. He says that the reason he flirts with women so often is that they all deserve to be cherished—although usually his attempts earn him a slap to the face. Whether enemy or ally he can respect another person's abilities and is friendly to everyone. 

Throughout the series he is shown to have what many call "the Devil's own luck". Whenever he gets into a tricky situation he always manages to find a way out, seemingly unintentionally. This leads people to wonder if he really is just an extremely lucky fool or if he is actually much more intelligent than he acts. 

It is revealed that he does not act irresponsible intentionally; it is simply a part of who he is. In the last episode he tells Yuriko to tell his crew two things: "don't live according to someone else's rules" and "do what you want the way you want to."
