Shou is the young protagonist of the series. Before coming to Byston Well, he lived in Tokyo and enjoyed motocross racing. One night, as he was riding his motorcycle through the city, he was yanked to Byston Well in order to serve as a mecha pilot under the command of regional overlord Drake Luft. He soon discovers Luft's evil motives and switches sides, joining Nie Givun and his freedom fighters in their resistance to Luft's military advances. Over time (and through experience in battle,) Shou's Aura Power increases to near infinite levels, while control over his power correspondingly weakens. Also, during the series, he returns to Earth twice, but his already strained and dysfunctional relationship with his estranged parents (one of whom may be American) crumbles completely when they refuse to believe that he is not an impostor (he was believed dead during the 'accident' where he and his motorcycle disappeared—drawn to Byston Well). To further complicate matters, he comes to harbor intimate feelings for Marvel. However, the stresses of war prevent them from actively pursuing their relationship.

Nick turns out to be a contractor and is revealed to have the ability to manipulate electricity, apparently the same as Hei's ability. Dunan is the Antagonist Prince of the Kingdom of Gupta. He has been promised Princess Diana for Marriage by her father King Randis. When Diana is found as a slave of Sho after she ran away. Dunan is forced to fight for her honor.  

Daimyo of Chuugoku. Known as &quot;The Great Motonari&quot; for possessing a great tactical mind, he is one of the few feudal lords who yet hasn&#039;t tried to invade a neighboring province nor to ultimately obtain the Tenka. He is a calm and cold leader, who just utilizes his subordinates as mere pawns, willing to sacrifice them. Failure is unacceptable as Motonari holds a high pride in his intelligence. The pilot of the gun-toting Gundam Heavyarms, the boy who calls himself Trowa is the most mysterious of the Gundam pilots. Calm, cool, and detached, he seldom speaks and never smiles. Trowa falls in with a traveling circus troupe as cover for his terrorist mission, finding employment as the world's most dispassionate clown. Trowa is a gifted and fearless acrobat, and these abilities also prove useful in his alternate occupation as a Gundam pilot.  Despite his youth, Trowa is an experienced professional soldier. His preferred combat tactic is to stand his ground and spray the battlefield with an endless hail of bullets, though every now and then he'll dispatch an enemy with his acrobatic trademark move - a mid-air triple spin, ending in a deadly knife slash.  His real name, according to the Gundam Wing prequel Manga: Episode Zero, is Triton Bloom, Catherine Bloom's long lost Brother.  

In Frozen Teardrop  ~! In MC0021, alongside Instructor W, Trowa (under the alias "Dokter T") develops 4 new mobile suits for unknown purposes. When asked by his young look-alike Trowa Phobos  what the T in his name stands for, he first answers 'Trowa', but later concedes that it stands for 'Triton', confirming other series materials which indicate that Trowa is Catherine Bloom's long-lost brother. !~
