Li Jian-Qiang's younger twin brother. Qian De became a "shadow" for Li Jian-Qiang and took over duties as head of the Zheng Dao Hui while his elder brother spent time with his family. It seems with the exception of Li Jian-Qiang's aide, Chief Chén, no one else in the organization knew that there were 2 "Master Li"s. Qian De was responsible for getting his brother and his future wife, Lin Xiang Ping, together and even managed to convince his brother to have a child and not neglect his family. As Ryo notes later, if not for Qian De's intervention, Xiang-Ying would never have come into being. Ryo was also good friends with Qian De, and they would hang out together drinking whenever Qian De was in Japan (Ryo even claims he learned all his bad habits from Qian De, though it could be the other way round). Often referred to as "Master Li", he is the leader of Zheng Dao Hui and father of Xiang-Ying. However, his true involvement with Zheng Dao Hui is unknown as it was discovered that it was his twin brother, Li Qian-De who was calling the shots while Li Jian-Qiang was raising a family. After Qian-De's death, he takes over the duties of the Zheng Dao Hui. Li Jian-Qiang will never forget that his daughter was made into an assassin in his own organization despite his efforts to find her after the accident that killed her mother. He will never forgive himself for everything she had to go through. Although he would like to be reunited with Xiang-Ying, he knows that it is best that she not know her true parentage. To that effect he requested Ryo to take care of her, knowing full well that she could never return to him. He is also the first to call her by her nickname, "Ah-Xiang" which is what he used to call her when she was so much younger. (It is common in Chinese culture to take someone's first name and add the prefix "ah" to it when addressing someone younger or in a friendly manner such as in a family). 200 years old immortal alchemy teacher wanting to know what he could not know. Doing anything in his will to get it.  A seemingly geriatric alchemist who gains immortality during the 1711 incident aboard the Advena Avis. After the incident he desires to know the formula of the immortality elixir. As he is unable to claim it, he spends the next 230 years attempting to discover it.  He is an apathetic, violent man who will go to any means to achieve his objectives.   ~!Firo devours him later in order to protect Ennis.!~

As he is the head of the Kuchiki family, he wears the same scarf that Byakuya wears now. He, however, does not wear the aristocratic hair piece that Byakuya does. It is possible that he was one of the first Captains in the Gotei 13 because during the Turn Back the Pendulum Miniseries, he is shown as one of the 13 Captains and looks like Captain Yamamoto does now (facial features, signifying their age). This is unlikely, though, since it is also mentioned that the only old captains left are Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai, Retsu Unohana, Jūshirō Ukitake, and Shunsui Kyōraku. During the Turn Back the Pendulum Miniseries, he is also shown introducing the current 2nd Division Captain back then, Yoruichi Shihōin, to Byakuya, who was training at the time. He also appears to be exasperated by Byakuya's rash and hot-headed nature, mentioning that he'd be a great leader if only he'd learn to control himself, as he does in later years.    It is not known whether or not if he is alive at the present storyline. 

Shion&#039;s kind and patient foster father and veeda, one who guides those with special talents, after Shion had been rescued from the war-torn Tess. After only 78 days, La Zlo dies in a car accident while Shion is at school. La Zlo is from whom Shion realized what it was that he truly wanted from someone, anyone, in life, the space that Mokuren unwittingly filled later on the moon base.

Father of Kuraki and Yasuko Fuzuchi, head of Fuzuchi clan.

He is the head of the research center at 70+ years old performing experiments on diclonius. He is from a long line of diclonius ancestry that has been watered down by inter-breeding with humans (much of this is, however, only revealed in the manga). As a result of this he has no vectors and much smaller horns on his head. The aim of him and his son is, in part, to replenish their bloodline with the diclonius they are experimenting on (of which Lucy is the first to be able to reproduce) and thus gain power as "kings" of the new race. 

Cornello is a low-rate alchemist and a fraud. He uses what he thinks is the Philosopher&#039;s Stone to fool the people of Lior into thinking that he is sent by the Sun God Leto with the power to perform miracles, including resurrecting the dead. Although he uses alchemy to bring prosperity to the desert city, his true intention is to convert the citizens into a fanatical army. The Elric brothers expose him for a fraud, and shortly afterward the incomplete Philosopher&#039;s Stone becomes unstable and shatters as it tears his arm into a mass of flesh and metal.    After the Elrics undermine his plan and Cornello is no longer of any use to the Homunculi, he is consumed by Gluttony. Envy, disguised as Cornello, maintains the deception until Lior is subjugated by the State Military. In the manga, Lust tells Gluttony he&#039;d be better off not eating a fourth-rate fraud like Cornello, and kills him herself. Gluttony eats Cornello&#039;s dead body afterwards, Lust replying to Gluttony rather annoyed &quot;I thought I told you not to eat that&quot;.

Though a normal military surgeon, Knox was one of the doctors ordered into Ishval as pathologists to gather information on the effect of burns and pain on the human body by using Ishvalans as test subjects. He became very acquainted with the Flame Alchemist&#039;s style as the expert assigned to dissect the bodies of Ishvalans that Roy had killed. He continued practicing pathology and forensics after the war, feeling that he had lost the right to treat living people. Even after returning from the battlefield, Knox began suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder in the form of flashbacks, insomnia and nightmares of Ishval. Hiraizumi is the coach of the hugely successful Tokyo Victory. He refused to take Tatsumi lightly, stating that he was a man who would go for your throat as soon as you let down your guard. However, he was still confident of beating ETU. Tatsumi referred to him as a dandy. 

Anton Hilmer von Schaft was an Imperial admiral who served under Reinhard von Lohengramm. Under the covert direction of Fezzan he produced and implemented a plan to mobilise Geiersburg Fortress, which led ultimately to the Eighth Battle of Iserlohn. He was subsequently arrested. 

Grandfather of the two sisters that let the group stay at their house during the rain.

The owner of Rairaiken Ramen shop. He turns out to be the goalkeeper of the legendary Inazuma Eleven. He later becomes the coach of Raimon and goes to Liocott with Inazuma Japan. 

Nestor Messina is the commander of the Disith forces that invaded Anatoray. He fell victim to a blizzard in Disith, leaving him unable to open his right hand. After Sophia assumes the throne of Anatoray, she goes to parley with Nestor in hopes of forming an alliance and reveals to him the proposed peace treaty to Disith that was lost ten years earlier. Nestor ascertains Sophia&#039;s sincerity and provides Anatoray with a map of the Grand Stream and the acoustic signature of Exile. Nestor is well respected by his Anatoray counterparts, especially by Duke David Mad-thane, because he &quot;seems to understand the meaning of chivalry&quot; and is unwilling to sacrifice his men in a meaningless battle. Rin&rsquo;s father and Toba Island&rsquo;s headman, he suffers form sickness and is bedridden. Due to his sickness, Rin runs the port on his behalf. When the headman was injured by Isago, the Sakagami&rsquo;s headman&rsquo;s wife, Rin slays Isago and goes out to sea in search of a mermaid.
