Nadeshiko Kinomoto is the mother of the series titular character, Sakura Kinomoto, who died seven years before the series starts. Only seen in flashbacks, photographs, and as a spirit, Nadeshiko was a high school student and professional model when she met and fell in love with Fujitaka Kinomoto, who was her teacher. Her family disapproved of their marriage when Nadeshiko was sixteen. Nadeshiko continued to send gifts to her father, and maintained contact with her cousin Sonomi Daidōji. At the age of 27, Nadeshiko died, and Sonomi, who loved Nadeshiko greatly, blamed Fujitaka. It is hinted that after her death, the Amamiya family cut off all contact with Fujitaka and the children from the marriage, as Sakura is shown learning that Sonomi, who is the mother of her best friend, is a relative, and meeting her great-grandfather (Nadeshiko's grandfather) for the first time as the series progresses.  Though Nadeshiko has died, her love for Fujitaka and her children, and visa versa continues to live on. She frequently visits the family as a winged spirit, though initially only Toya can see her. In the manga, it is noted that Toya likely inherited this power from Nadeshiko, implying she too could see spirits. Throughout the series, she worries over Sakura as the young girl begins gathering the Clow Cards. When the Illusion card tricks Sakura into walking off a cliff, Nadeshiko's spirit grabs her arm and keeps her from falling until Yukito Tsukishiro arrives to catch her. Later in the series, when Sakura develops a high fever, Nadeshiko appears and puts her hand on Sakura's forehead, lowering the fever. When Fujitaka goes to talk to her grandfather for the first time in a long time, she rains Sakura blossoms over them to show her happiness that they are reconciling.  The family is shown to also still love her, most noticeably through a picture kept in the dining area near the kitchen table. Fujitaka changes the picture each morning and Sakura always greets the picture while coming to breakfast. At the end of the series, after Fujitaka receives half of Eriol's powers, he and Nadeshiko are happily "reunited" as the magic allows him to finally see her.  In the anime adaptation, Nadeshiko's role is generally unchanged, except that Fujitaka is never able to see her as he does not receive any magical powers. She is voiced by Yūko Minaguchi. In the Cardcaptors English dub, her name is changed to Natasha Avalon and she is voiced by Janyse Jaud.

Lori Anderson is a student at Meridiana High School.  She is in both Mr. Seidelman&#039;s literature class and Mr. Amato&#039;s biology class.  Lori has a big crush on Mr. Seidelman and regularly interrupts his class because of this.  She does not particularly like Cybersix because she thinks that Cybersix is Adrian&#039;s girlfriend (something that she would like to be).    Lori spends most of her free time hanging out with friends. 

A Tachikoma is an AI walker/roller tank in the Ghost in the Shell universe, appearing only in the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex sub-universe. They are best described as a &quot;spider type multi leg/multi ped combat vehicle equipped with artificial intelligence&quot;, possessing the ability to act as both personel transport units and mobile weapons platforms.

Design: 
Tachikoma are the size of a small car, and are of a middle-blue colour, with four &quot;eyes&quot; fitted on the surface of their bodies. Three are on the &quot;head&quot; and one is beneath the abdomen. Each eye has three pinholes, possibly for triangulation. These eyes sometimes become expressive in the typical anime style. Tachikoma are controlled by individual AIs, are capable of speech and generally exhibit a childish, curious, joyful and active personality, although they are consummate professionals in the field. They normally operate as independent units and receive orders from human agents, but they can also be directly piloted from a cockpit in their abdomen.  Tachikoma have four legs and two arms. They can move by walking, or they can drive at high speed by using the wheeled footpads on each of their four legs. They are apparently street-legal (presuming no legal exemption for Section 9). Each wheel appears to be angled and omnidirectional, allowing the Tachikomas to move in any direction with their holonomic drive system. Other abilities of the Tachikoma include jumping great distances, sticking to vertical or inverted surfaces, engaging a thermoptic camouflage mechanism, and grappling/rappelling using their adhesive string launchers. Tachikoma maintain control of their legs while using wheels to drive down a road, and shift their weight around turns. They can also roll briefly on to two legs while driving to avoid an obstacle or pass through a narrow space. To make balance easier, they can move their heavy abdomens with a ball joint. Their movements when walking and jumping were modelled on a jumping spider. Almost all of the Tachikomas&#039; physical abilities are showcased in Episode 2 of Stand Alone Complex, &quot;Runaway Evidence &ndash; Testation&quot;.    Standard Tachikoma equipment includes a 7.62x51mm light machine gun mounted in the right arm, a secondary weapon hardpoint in the &quot;snout&quot; (usually a 50mm grenade launcher, capable of launching both explosive and gas grenades, but which can be replaced by a six-barrelled 12.7x99mm Gatling gun), a universal cybernetic connector on an extensible, prehensile cable in the left arm, and a built-in thermoptic camouflage system. 

AI:  
Tachikoma&#039;s are gifted with very childlike AI, unexpected of a machine in a governmental special forces team, which gives rise to much of the comedy relief in Stand Alone Complex. Though they possess individual artificial intelligence, every night they are synchronised, so they start the next day with identical consciousnesses that are each the sum of their total collective experience &amp; development. This leads to identity confusion, since each Tachikoma has the same memories.     ~!It is explained in the last episode of the first season that it is their curiosity that lets them be different from each other. It is curiosity that saves a personality from dying when linked with others.    A notable paradox arises from this synchronization, however. Though the Tachikoma have identical memories, their personalities and opinions are distinct. During the Stand Alone Complex series, an episode is entirely devoted to discussions among them.    These separate personalities reveal three &#039;main&#039; Tachikoma. The first one considers itself Batou&#039;s personal Tachikoma, which has a personality of a hyperactive child. It is curious, inquisitive, and tends to get many &#039;bright&#039; ideas. It is special, given that he pampers it with natural oil and refuses to operate any other while on assignments. The second major Tachikoma (possibly favored by Major Kusanagi) is more logical, acting as the straight man to the first. The third Tachikoma is somewhat slower than the others and will at times have a difficult time keeping up with the other Tachikomas when discuss about such in-depth topics such as what it means to be &quot;alive&quot;. There is also a fourth Tachikoma with a distinctive personality, who is a bookworm and an intellectual. Its body was taken apart during the experimentation incident, but its AI has presumably been saved for further analysis.    At one point in the series, while all but three of the Tachikomas are either locked away in a lab for study or dismantled for study, three surviving Tachikoma units abandon their civilian posts to assist the Major and Batou. This is the only time in the series where the tachikoma vary in appearance, as a few units have been disarmed for either study or to be sold off to civilian contracts. Batou&#039;s unit remained mainly unchanged, although it was given a set of decals to represent its new ownership, and its liquid wire launchers had been removed. The other two have been more extensively repainted and or modified, with the remaining laboratory unit&#039;s cockpit having been replaced by a much smaller diagnostic module, and the other contracted unit now bearing a construction color scheme. Only the blue tachikoma retained it&#039;s grenade launcher.!~

Kanna is the first detachment of Naraku. She appears to be a ten-year-old girl with white hair and clothing. As a &quot;concealed incarnation&quot; of Naraku, Kanna has no scent and no demonic aura, making her undetectable to InuYasha&#039;s senses and immune to demonic aura-related effects such as the Hakurei-zan barrier. Kanna is the only incarnation that Naraku trusts with important information about his actions, allowing her to give orders in his place.    Kanna carries a demonic mirror that can steal the souls of those reflected in it. Once a soul is trapped by her mirror, Kanna can control that person&#039;s body to carry out her bidding. However, the mirror can be overwhelmed by an especially powerful soul such as Kagome&#039;s, forcing Kanna to release all of the trapped souls before the glass shatters. The mirror can also create a glass demon to copy the abilities of whatever it reflects, though Kanna herself suffers damage when the glass demon is wounded.      ~!In her last battle, Kanna is ordered by Naraku to commit suicide, shattering herself and her glass demon into thousands of tiny shards. Driven by Kanna&#039;s final thought, one of the shards hits Kagome&#039;s right eye and gives her the knowledge of how to destroy Naraku.!~

Kagura (lit. Music of the gods) is a wind sorceress created from Naraku&#039;s own body. Despite this, she has her own mind and is willing to fight desperately for freedom.    Her first appearance involves Kagura&#039;s use of the &quot;Shikabane Mai,&quot; or &quot;Dance of the Dead,&quot; to lure out Koga&#039;s companions and slaughter them. Following this, she splattered Inuyasha in the blood, causing Koga to arrive to &quot;avenge his companions.&quot; Unbeknownst to Koga, he has a false Shikon no Tama shard rather than the real one-and upon severly injuring Inuyasha, he is immobilized by Kagura&#039;s fake. Assured that she has won the battle, Kagura steps forward to take the real shikon shards as well as Koga&#039;s life.    This is interrupted by Inuyasha, who proceeds to fight Kagura and is on the verge of being killed when he is finally able to interrupt Kagura&#039;s winds to unleash a Kaze no Kizu. Surprised, Kagura flees, briefly showing a spider-shaped burn scar on her back similar to Naraku&#039;s. She realizes that Naraku has been using her and proceeds to attack him, being stopped when he squeezes her heart and tells her that he holds her life in his hands. Since then, Kagura has worked to kill him, often using others.     ~!Following the first meeting, Kagura encounters Inuyasha and defeats him easily with the help of Kanna. Naraku orders her to carry out much of his work, but does not regret losing her when she openly betrays him.    Kagura meets Sesshoumaru and decides his strength is enough to destroy Naraku. She locates Toukijin and tells him where it is, and then watches his fighting skills. Later, when he realizes she is using him, Kagura does not deny it, but rather comes clean about it.    Over time, Kagura becomes increasingly reckless in her attempts to kill Naraku and begins to use Inuyasha as a pawn as well. She often attacks Koga, feeling he is useless in her plans.    Naraku often teams Kagura with Kohaku to do his jobs. When both realize that the other is also after Naraku&#039;s life, they become allies and plot together to destroy his heart. Eventually, Hakudoushi and Moryoumaru come after Kohaku&#039;s shikon shards, Kagura protects him at the cost of her own life. Naraku mocks her, giving back her heart and then subsequently poisoning her.    Kagura realizes she has a short time to live, and flying away, falls into a field of flowers. There she notices she can no longer move and begins to despair. Sesshoumaru shows up, following the scent of Naraku&#039;s miasma and having realized Kagura was in danger. He attempts to save her with Tenseiga, but this does not work. Soon after, Inuyasha&#039;s team arrives and Kagura dissolves into the wind, happy to have been able to see Sesshoumaru before she died.    Kagura&#039;s death supplied Sesshoumaru&#039;s heart with enough new feelings to allow the growth of his sword, Tenseiga. The wind blows as he promises to make her death worth something. This same strong, but not dangerous, wind appears to Kanna, and she notes that it is Kagura. Naraku replaces Kagura with Byakuya, his final incarnation.  !~

Kuromitsu is as mysterious as she is devious, and her dark secrets will keep you guessing. She seems to have a mysterious power over men, the majority of them falling in love with her.   ~!Kuromitsu is actually immortal (she's a vampire who drinks blood) and she has been placing the head of her beloved Kuro onto different bodies. She wants to be with Kuro forever.!~

The waitress of the snack bar "Cha-Cha-Maru", the resident of room #6, she is a red-haired bombshell who wears a negligee whenever she's in Ikkoku-kan. Though she may act sloppy, she is quite a sensitive lady who can understand not only Kyoko's feelings but Godai's as well.

A little pink monster who is Genki's tag team partner in many battles. Mocchi came into existence when Genki went to the shrine and unlocked his video game disk which turned out to be a Mystery Disk. Although Mocchi's initial actions indicated that he was a very young child, he soon became a great fighter and a valuable asset in the search for the Phoenix. Like Genki, Mocchi is very brave and good-hearted. When in battle, Mocchi can move very fast by rolling into a ball like an armadillo and bouncing. He can also unleash very powerful attacks, like Cherry Blossom Blizzard and Mocchi Cannon. While present in the Crossover DX dōjin, he was sidelined in favour of Pokemon &amp; Digimon cast members, and primarily used in battles due to his powerful attacks. He was killed in the Kaizer contest storyline - like all other DX events, this is considered apocryphal. Mocchi was the Phoenix's happiness. {wikipedia}

Just like so, Mariko is Netto, Meiru, Dekao, Yaito, and Tohru&#039;s class teacher. She appears in episodes from time to time, but the main reason I included her in with the other main characters is because Masa and Higure are both trying to win this poor woman&#039;s affections. ^_^;     Apparently Mariko was Masa&#039;s teacher some time ago, and for Higure, she turned him around to a life of good instead of evil. Unfortunately for the both of them, she&#039;s in love with Commander Beef, who is Masa-san&#039;s super hero alter-ego. For the sake of keeping his secret identity, he can&#039;t reveal himself to her.     Mariko becomes rather important during the Axess series, since we learn she has a twin sister named Yuriko. Mariko and Yuriko were seperated 15 years ago by a devastating incident, which led them along very different paths. While Mariko became a loving school teacher, Yuriko was absorbed into the dark syndicate of Nebula. 

The third of Japoness' otome kairo marionettes. She represents the aggressive side of femininity, being quite loud, boisterous, headstrong, impulsive and very amorous. She is by far the bustiest, and is openly proud of this fact, often teasing Cherry in particular. She is also the most sexual of the three, often vowing to "make a man" out of Otaru, smothering him with her large breasts and endless amounts of physical affection and pressuring him to marry her. For his part Otaru is much more receptive to Bloodberry's overt advances than the average harem protagonist, often going as far as to compliment her massive bust, to her delight. She is very brave &amp; fierce in battle and has the most raw physical power. She dresses in a black and orange bodysuit and her red hair in a high ponytail.

Kochou (蝴蝶, Kochou) is a famous courtesan in the red-light district. She manages Kougaro, the number one brothel in Kiyou. She is actually one of the underground bosses of Kiyou.  When Shuurei was young, she came to wark as an accountant in Kougaro, and two developed a close friendship. To Eigetsu woke up unconcious in Kougaro, and eventually met Shuurei and her group. When Shuurei went to take the imperial exam, Kochou gifted her a make-up box, saying that the make-up is the women's battle armour, because when a women wears a make-up, she will not cry since tears will ruin her make-up.

Margery is a tall, "well-endowed" and mature blond Flame Haze with a drinking habit. She uses the book Grimoire, which is the divine vessel through which Marchosias, to whom she is bound, expresses his will. Her main powers focus around chanting spells and turning into a werewolf. She casts spells by chanting an "Improvisational Poem of Slaughter." Eita and Keisaku look up to her because she saved their lives once. Her reason for becoming a Flame Haze is to get revenge on a Denizen with a silver-colored flame (who is somehow linked to the Reiji Maigo within Yuji). Even before her installation as a Flame Haze, she lived only for vengeance. She was once a daughter of a landlord in medieval time, but after countless betrayals, her father was killed and she had ended up in a brothel. She gained a chance to avenge for her misery and humiliation on her enemies, only to see them be destroyed by the Silver. Her fury from being stolen of the last reason to live had attracted the attention of Marchosias. In the anime, Margery's focus shifts from fighting simply to eradicate Crimson Denizens to fighting to protect the Balance. She notes her fighting skills are no less for the shift in focus. In the light novels, Margery would not only face the Silver in an unsuccessful battle, but would later realize that the Silver had been acting on her wish for revenge in her life of misery prior to becoming a Flame Haze before she nearly got killed by Snake of the Festival Sakai Yuji. Margery eventually recovers when Keisaku kisses and confesses his love for her, giving a new meaning to live forward before kissing Keisaku back in return.

Katsumi's mother and wife of Gigelf Liqueur. Fuyuka worked at a television station before meeting and falling for Gigelf, discovering her own innate magical abilities in the process.

The anime version of Felicia is currently clawing her way up the rock star ladder, already having a certain amount of success under her furry belt, and just starting a tour in the human world. Her tour gets off to a rough start and is almost killed by a gang of monks but is saved by Lord Raptor who the gang were also after. As the human/Dark Stalker war grows more intense, she eventually comes across an army of Huitzuls. She fights a few of them but is overwhelmed but she is saved when Jon Talbain intervenes. She is taken in by a human doctor and is later captured by a paramilitary group who have come to destroy the rest of the advancing Huitzuls but the human doctor rescues her. She and Jon Talbain destroy the Huitzuls by taking a train out of town that is rigged with explosives which distracts the Huitzuls away from the town. Hinako Ninomiya was employed by Principal Kuno to help deal with all the "delinquent" students at Furinkan High. Initially she appears to an elementary school aged child who is rather giddy and excitable. In actuality her tale is much more complex.  When Hinako was very young, she was quite sick and was hospitalized. While there she was discovered by Happosai and learned a chi-draining technique from him (he taught her this so that she would stop the nurses from chasing him after he stole their underwear).  When Hinako uses this technique she grows into an older, twenty-something woman (her proper age). But the rest of her time is spent as a young, energetic child. Her personality changes to reflect her different ages.  Hinako is the homeroom and English teacher at Furinkan for the 10th grade. She also has quite a crush on Soun Tendo because he was nice to her when she was in her child form. Hinako looks upon it as her mission to help Ranma improve his behavior, whereas Ranma would much rather spend his time doing just enough to scrape by scholastically speaking.  (Source: Rumic World)
