Shigure transforms into the dog of the Chinese Zodiac whenever he is hugged by the opposite gender or his body comes under a great deal of stress. Shigure is one of the oldest members of the Soma family.  He is laid-back and anything but solemn. He is somewhat of a pervert, and as a writer of both romance novels and academic books.  Occasionally, Shigure shows that he has another side to himself. He can be surprisingly mature, thoughtful, and gives rather sage and insightful advice to Tohru, Kyo, Yuki, and other characters, acting like an actual "adult".

Greed is a greedy Homunculus, nicknamed the &quot;Ultimate Shield&quot;. He is able to rearrange the carbon in his body to make his skin as hard as diamond, thus making himself almost impossible to injure. As his name implies he is a very avaricious character, who likes living in luxury, surrounded by powerful minions and beautiful women. Despite his generally greedy nature, he’s shown to honestly care for his subordinates. He also has a habit of flipping people off in the manga.    

 __In the 2003 anime series:__  Greed is the second oldest of the Homunculi created by Dante. However, due to his avarice, Greed rebelled and was eventually captured and imprisoned in lab 5. He was imprisoned for 130 years until an explosion broke his seal. He then freed the caged chimera at Lab 5 in exchange for helping him get his revenge on the other homunculi and their master.    

 __In the manga and 2009 anime series:__  He is the third Homunculus created by Father. Greed apparently abandoned the other Homunculi over 100 years before the start of the series and claims to be around two centuries old. He first appears hiding in the Devil&#039;s Nest in Dublith, with his gang of chimeras all of whom he apparently rescued from military experimentation.      ~!After Greed is punished by Father, he later returns as Father removes his son&#039;s Philosopher&#039;s Stone core from his own body and inserts it directly into the body of Ling Yao to create a second Human-based Homunculus. This second Greed maintains all the same personality and powers as the first (his Ouroboros tattoo is even in the same spot), but appears to have none of his previous memories, not recognizing Envy, Gluttony, or the Elric Brothers. As such, he becomes a faithful servant of his Father, as the first Greed was presumed to have been initially, and refers to all actions prior to his rebirth as having been done by &quot;the other Greed&quot;.    After killing a past comrade and follower of his, memories from Greed&#039;s previous life returned, including his time in the Devil&#039;s Nest and the feelings he had for his followers. Remembering this, along with how Bradley killed most of his followers, leads Greed to betray Father once again. He also stops referring to his &quot;previous self&quot; as &quot;the other Greed&quot; upon regaining his memories.  !~

The thirteenth successor to the sword art of Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu, Hiko Seijuro saved young Shinta from marauding bandits who killed his companions. Hiko then took care of Shinta, and renamed him Kenshin ("Heart of Sword") after claiming that Shinta was not a good name for a swordsman. He became angry and disappointed with Kenshin, because he ran away to join the rebellion against the Tokugawa regime. He shut himself away from the rest of the world; he lives as a potter close to the forest near Kyoto. In Seisouhen/Reflection, he also realizes that the Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu no longer seems relevant in the changing world, as he remarks to Yahiko: "The only thing that doesn't seem to change is the moon."  Hiko is perhaps the strongest swordsman around; he is way too superior even to Kenshin. Although the two are comparable in speed, Hiko possesses a superior sense of judgement in combat and the superhuman strength (hidden, and even suppressed, underneath his heavy cloak) to wield Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu to its maximum. After fifteen years, master and student meet once more. It is then that Kenshin will complete his training, if Kenshin can survive Hiko's ego.  The cloak is not only distinctive for all Hiten Mitsurugi masters, but it also serves to strengthen them in peacetime. Even when conflict is not at the door, Hiko remains in training just by wearing it, as it is composed of several heavy materials that weigh him down and force him to work out because of counter-springs with pressure of around 37.5 kilograms. Watsuki mentions in the manga that he based the billowy capes' image on Spawn of Image Comics by Todd McFarlane (the size of the collar pieces was reduced in the anime).  The name Hiko Seijuro is in fact a title granted to each succeeding master of Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu. Since Hiko Seijuro II, each new master has discarded his own name in favor of the name of the creator of Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu. As Kenshin declines to take the name "Hiko Seijuro XIV", his master is the last man ever to be known as Hiko Seijuro.

He's the namesake Hero described in the Epic of Gilgamesh, making him the most ancient Hero on which all the others legends were modeled. This grants him the title of King of Heroes and, within his Gates of Babylon, the prototypes of all the Noble Phantasms of the Heroes yet to come. 

Born from the human Lugalbanda, the King of Uruk, and the goddess Rimat-Ninsun, he was a being so perfect and transcendent to the point that he was two-thirds deity and one-third human. He was the chosen one that would guide humanity on the earth that was slowly abandoning the Age of Gods, but instead he grew up to be a selfish and arrogant despot.

But the Servant summoned in the False Holy Grail War is a new Servant without any memories of the Fuyuki Holy Grail Wars. 

He is the first Servant summoned in the True and False Holy Grail War as the "False" Archer-class Servant of [Thine Chelc](https://anilist.co/character/87307/).

Togusa is the newest member of Section 9 and the only one not originally recruited from Kusanagi's team of SpecOps.  Recruited from the regular police forces, Detective Togusa (no first name is yet known) has only the most basic of augmentation and no cyberization outside of his cyberbrain.  The Major wanted him for his perspective as a real policeman and as an outside opinion so as to avoid intellectual incest within Section 9.  Togusa mostly feels inferior to the rest of the team, forgetting to recognize the reason for his inclusion in the group.  He is the only member with a spouse and child and he continues to carry his Mateba revolver, although it has been highly modified to fire anti-cyborg rounds.

Ryou comes from a wealthy family and has been stated to have an IQ surpassing 180, making him a natural genius, especially when it comes to genetics. It has also been rumored that he graduated from an American University. Because of this, and events in his past, he has a removed, sarcastic, and rude nature towards most of the cast, apart for his childhood friend, Akasaka-san. Despite this, he seems to be a kind person underneath, something that Ichigo catches on to later in the series, probably most obvious when he is trying to encourage Lettuce who has little self-confidence. He seems to have a romantic interest in the main character, Ichigo, but, these feelings are not returned. Ryou is headstrong and serious, but has moments where he will behave immaturely, such as his arguing with and teasing Ichigo.

~!Ryou is dedicated to the Mew Project. When Dr. Shirogane's (Ryou's father) project was ready, Ryou was unsure that it would be safe, so he tested it on himself. He didn't have the right genes, so he didn't turn into a proper Mew Mew, but does have the ability to change into a cat for ten minutes. If he stays a cat for longer than that, he is permanently stuck in cat form.!~

~!When he is a gray cat, he goes by the name Alto. He wears a green scarf around his neck. Alto was introduced in episode 28. Alto saved Ichigo's life many times and has kissed her in order to return her back into human form. Ryou is the one who gave the girls their Mew Pendants so that they could transform. He was also the one who (with Keiichiro) chose which people would get the Red Data Animal DNA implanted in them.!~

Keisuke Takahashi is the number two driver for the Red Suns. Keisuke drives FD3S and is a skilled driver, second only to his brother. Keisuke is a rather hot-headed young man and does not like losing. Keisuke is also known to drive with his emotions, for example if he realises that he cannot win his driving suffers and if he is in the lead he is carefree and much relaxed. Before Ryousuke got Keisuke involved in street racing he was the leader of a Bosozoku gang. He joins his brother's new team and has a rivalry with Takumi. Keisuke races the Hillclimb (Uphill) on most races, while Takumi races the downhill. Keisuke isn't analytical like his older brother, and Ryousuke's ability to compute and analyze amazes Keisuke. But at the same time, Keisuke's ability to think less while he is driving, and to do only what he feels amazes Ryosuke. While Ryousuke has decided that he won't race much longer, and that he will become a doctor in the future, Keisuke has dedicated his life to racing, his eventual goal is to become a professional racer. But first he must defeat Takumi. Though visibly getting along, they still have some kind of argumentation over who is the ace, he has respect for Takumi. He stated once he was not as strong minded as Takumi, because Takumi fell asleep really fast before a great battle, making him ask himself if he knew what was pressure.

Abe is the teams catcher, and also one of their better batters. His skills as a catcher were developed during middle school, when he played in the Seniors league. Abe was paired with a talented pitcher named Haruna, whose pitches were so hard and lacking in control that he was constantly covered in bruises. However, he persevered, knowing that if he could catch Haruna&#039;s pitches, he would gain a place as a regular. Although he succeeded, Abe soon began to resent Haruna, who strictly refused to throw more than 80 pitches per game, even if it meant walking off the field, and never followed Abe&#039;s signs. Because of this, Abe initially values Mihashi for his obedience, desire to stay on the mound, and control. However, he comes to appreciate just how much work Mihashi puts in, and is determined to win games using Mihashi&#039;s pitching and prove to him that he is a good pitcher.

Abe has a very short temper, particularly with Mihashi, and is noted to have a loud voice, even when laughing, which intimidates not only Mihashi but sometimes his other teammates too. However, when this is pointed out to him, he takes great pains to be more patient with Mihashi and speak more gently. He was charged by Momoe to look after Mihashi, and he takes this very seriously, constantly monitoring Mihashi&#039;s practicing, what he is eating, and how much sleep he&#039;s getting, causing Izumi to note that he&#039;s very bossy. Abe is also a driving force on the field, generally shouting out instructions to his teammates during play, and closely analyzing the opposition. He uses this habit to his advantage as he is very good at predicting which of Mihashi&#039;s pitches will cause a batter to strike out.

[Lucy](https://anilist.co/character/5186) believes the nature of his magic is the reason that he and Natsu constantly bicker. His member stamp is on the right side of his chest.   

~!Gray's adeptness and strength as an ice mage is quickly shown in the story. During the Lullaby of Death arc, he teams with Natsu and [Erza](https://anilist.co/character/5189) to defeat the demon awakened from the evil spirit from the Lullaby of Death. Members of the League praise his quickness at molding ice. Later in the story, he defeats [Juvia](https://anilist.co/character/9719), one of the Elemental Four of Phantom Lord. This victory may have been partly influenced by Juvia's liking to Gray. Juvia comments on Gray's skill, shocked that he was able to freeze both her boiling water and the rain. After Phantom Lord's defeat, Juvia secretly spies on Gray, bringing a packed lunch for Gray while he and the guild are rebuilding the headquarters.!~  

In certain panels, Gray's necklaces looks quite similar to the Rave Stone which is a crucial part of another one of [Mashima](https://anilist.co/staff/96882)'s stories, "Rave Master." Mashima has stated he doesn't remember the name. He takes off his clothes because [Ul](https://anilist.co/character/8293) made him do it as one of her teachings and now it's a force of habit.

The series protagonist. A 25-year-old foreign cosmetics maker and elite salaryman. He was introduced to Yura through an omiai. He is very critical of his own sexual abilities, but that doesn't hinder him from having sexual fantasies with any pretty girl in his vicinity (ultimately, though, he stays faithful to Yura). Rei ("Ray" in Viz's English manga) is the successor of Nanto Suichouken, which is said to be the most elegant of the Nanto Seiken styles. He represents the "Star of Justice". Rei is introduced in the manga as a ruthless chauvinistic mercenary-for-hire of shifting allegiance whose sole purpose is to kill "the man with seven scars," whom he believes was responsible for kidnapping his sister Airi. Rei is hired alongside Kenshiro by Mamiya to protect her village against the Fang Clan. After Airi is found and rescued by Ken, Rei becomes Kenshiro's closest ally and supports him for a few story arcs.   

~!During an assault on the village, Rei challenges Raoh in Kenshiro's honour but is easily defeated by a technique giving him only three excruciating days to live. With the help of Toki's Hokuto Shinken, Rei's life is extended and his hair turns brilliant white. He uses his final moments to avenge Mamiya, who was once tortured by his Nanto Kōkakuken rival, Yuda. Shortly afterwards, Rei dies an off-screen death. In the 1986 movie, Rei again challenges Raoh but this time his death is almost instantaneous.!~

Oskar von Reuenthal is a rear admiral serving in Reinhard’s fleet and, along with Wolfgang Mittermeyer, Reinhard’s ablest field commander. He was born to a lowly, but rich noble father and a mother from a distinguished but impoverished line that only married his father for his material affluence. Reuenthal was born with a rare condition called heterochromia, one of his eyes is blue, while the other is brown. Since both his parents had blue eyes, this was seen as proof of his mother’s adultery. His mother committed suicide after trying to pluck out his brown eye while he was still an infant. Reuenthal’s father put the blame on him and he grew up hated and neglected.   Reuenthal joined the military and rose through the ranks rather quickly, finding in war the reason he needed to keep on living. While stationed in fortress Iserlohn, he met Wolfgang Mittermeyer and the two became close friends. Mittermeyer is probably the only person Reuenthal has managed to have a normal relationship with and he greatly values their friendship. When Mittermeyer was unjustly detained and in danger of assassination by the nobility, Reuenthal didn’t hesitate to pledge his loyalty to Reinhard in return for his help with Mittermeyer’s case.   Reuenthal appears calm and composed on the outside, he is a brilliant war strategist, second only to Reinhard, and an accomplished tactician, but Reuenthal is, in reality, a ticking bomb ready to go off at any moment and perhaps would have already exploded if not for Mittermeyer’s soothing presence in his life.  His problematic childhood has ridden him with an incredible amount of self-loathing and a complete inability to trust women, though handsome and successful with the opposite sex, he never manages to get into a healthy relationship. Proud and ambitious Reuenthal often contemplates treachery, but his respect towards Reinhard and the debt he owes him, manage to restrain him. His flagship is the Tristan.

He is the defacto leader of the X-Laws, only overruled by Iron Maiden Jeanne. He originates from Sicily, Italy. Orphaned from an early age, Marco was raised in a Catholic church-orphanage by a priest. Together with Jeanne and Lyserg Diethel he is part of Team "X-I".  Like most other of the X-Laws, Marco is extremely loyal to Jeanne, and will stop at nothing to achieve what he believes will bring about Jeanne's ideals of a world free of corruption and evil. Like Jeanne, he tends to see issues in black and white; either something is good or evil. Those who join the X-Laws are considered good and those who do not are automatically evil and with Asakura Hao.  When he first appeared he seemed very gentle, but later as commended by Luchist he lacks flexibility which in turn, makes him annoyed and angry about the smallest things. This will sometimes lead his hair to spike out in a comical maner and making him crush his own glasses when agitated and stresses, which is also the reason why he carries a set of three spare glasses in his shoulder patch.  The only thing that can calm him down seems to Jeanne and in some rare cases, quality chocolate with coffee. He heavily believes in discipline, to the degree where he punches Lyserg when he is up late. During fights he also have a tendency to give people several death sentences. He also have a great love cars, which led him to form his own cardealership.

The Prince of the exiled Bākiraka Clan, Silat serves Emperor Ganishka, hoping to restore the honor of his exiled clan. While only a human, Silat is still a powerful fighter and employs agility and acrobatic skills as well as various exotic weapons. However, after witnessing the Emperor's cruel and demonic nature, he seems to ponder his allegiance.

Yamada is a smooth talking rich play boy. He finds Chizuru's mobile phone on the ground. After going through some pictures on the phone he comes to the conclusion that Chizuru is cute enough for him. When she calls asking if she could get her mobile phone back, he insists on bringing it to her house which he does, later in the evening.  He tries to invite himself into Chizuru's flat, but Miniroba scares him off.

The chief of JUDA Corporation&rsquo;s Special Task Force who is also a factor that pilots the machina &ldquo;VARDANT&rdquo;. An all-around player who excels in intelligence, leadership and physical strength. He is an expert in battles who never loses his cool and always makes sound judgments. He always dresses in suave business suits.

Helicopter pilot for Riot Force 6. An easygoing person, he served as an armed member prior to the start of the anime.

Tenko Kuugen is a thousand-year-old demon/yokai fox that served as a guardian god for hundreds of years. Kuugen is able to use all sort of spells, but has an extremely mischievous personality, playing all sort of pranks, until finally the Mitsuji family sealed it up, until the present day, when a situation forced them to free it for Kuugen's help. Even though, Kuugen doesn't hate the Mitsuji family. After the crisis, it quit it’s job and became the guardian god of the Takagami family. Kuu is extremely smart and curious, it was able to figure out modern world technology, and learned to blend in in very quickly. But Kuu still likes to do as they please. Kuu is too old to remember its original gender, so it takes both male and female form. Kuu likes the Takagami brothers and does all it can to protect them at all cost.

Kobushi Abiru's father is the sole survivor of the Japanese Special Operations Group "DESERT CRUSHERS", a unit so deadly that individual soldiers are trained to be capable of eliminating an entire enemy platoon with a single volume of Kimagure Orange Road. He is a master of torture.


Despite having no esper powers, he has an outstanding intellect. He is 20 years old at the start of the series and is the field leader of "The Children" Special Esper Team, not only giving them directions during missions but also overseeing their daily care. Even as they usually disobey and mistreat him, the girls highly esteem Minamoto, asking to reside with him soon after he is assigned to work with them. Nevertheless, the girls have shown to have grown positively under his watch. While good-natured and tolerant for the most part, there are times when he is pushed over his limits and comically displays an enraged Fist of the North Star-esque demeanor, complete with quotes, inspiring fear even on his superiors or The Children themselves.
