Shinobu Maehara is an extremely shy young girl, though she does develop more confidence as the story progresses. She is aged 12 at the start of the story, and has short black hair, with one strand of hair subtly sticking out. In the Anime she first appears in episode 1. She is later introduced in episode 2 where we learn that her parents are divorcing and she is expected to leave town with one of them, but she prefers to become a resident at the Hinata apartments. In the manga she is already a resident at the apartments when Keitaro arrives there.  She is in seventh grade at school, but because of her shyness she does not know her fellow pupils well. In the anime even on the eve of her intended departure she hadn't told them she was leaving. Yet later on she will gain more friends from her class as seen in episode two.  She has incredible culinary skills, possibly learned from her mother who had run a restaurant, or possibly she is just naturally adept. She consistently downplays her ability, but is pleased when her cooking is praised by the Hinata residents - especially when Keitaro says "My life would sure be a lot nicer if I could look forward to eating great food like this every day". She has a tendency to sometimes put clothes that were supposed to be washed in the pot, and food ingredients in the washing machine (called "wash curry"), although she has only been shown doing this twice. She develops a crush on Keitaro when he helps her with her studies, but feels betrayed by him when she learns he has misled her about being a Tokyo University student. Amends are made when Keitaro discovers her birthday is coming up, and the residents hold a surprise party. Her birthday is on November 15th.  Shinobu was apparently designed not to be cute, but that failed and her incredible non-cuteness instead made her cute in her own way. She handles alcohol very badly, she once accidentally drank Keitaro's white wine and instantly got drunk on merely half a glass.

A dimensional security enforcer that came from Seiren in order to complete a mission for Miharu's older sister, Maharu. She is completely afraid of men and will dig a ditch to hide herself in. She is very timid, but she soon becomes good friends with Yukinari and Kirie. But when Kazuhara comes around, she goes into a complete panic attack.   She is a master of ping pong. She is the reigning champion on seiren.


Fasalina is the only female member of the Original Seven pilots. Before being recruited, she worked as a prostitute. She is extremely loyal to the Claw Man, and will do anything to protect both him and his dream. When battling in her armor, Fasalina often taunts her opponents by being very flirtatious, thereby bringing them out of focus. She later develops a romantic relationship with Michael and becomes a faithful supporter of him.

When not fighting inside her armor, she uses a staff that can extend, bend or contracts at her will. Carmen 99 develops a glowing animosity against Fasalina later in the series.

The third Steel Angel built on the design by Dr. Ayanakouji, she was activated by the Academy to destroy Kurumi. She later joins Nakahito and the group, originally to figure out Kurumi&#039;s power, but she eventually develops a crush on Nakahito. It was all thanks to Nakahito that Karinka became friendly. Rakshata Chawla is an Indian scientist and the head of the Black Knights' research and development team. She has extensive experience in medical cybernetics, and appears to have been an academy acquaintance of Lloyd Asplund and Cécile Croomy. Rakshata is not fond of speaking of the past, but it is known that she studied at the Imperial Colchester Institute. She is fairly laid back in most situations, usually seeing laying on a couch when not actively working (one is even installed on the bridge of the Black Knights' flagship, the Ikaruga), and is never seen without her tobacco pipe. She affectionately refers to her technological creations as her "children" and treats them as such. She is visibly enraged, a contrast to her normal demeanor, upon learning that Lloyd and Cécile modified her Knightmare without her consent (they are kind enough to credit her for the design, though). Upon the formation of the UFN and the reorganization of the Black Knights as its military force, Rakshata is designated as the Chief of Science, similar to her previous position within the Black Knights.  Rakshata is the creator of the Guren Mk-II and its radiant wave surger weapon. She also developed the Gefjun Disturber, a force field generator that disables all sakuradite-powered technology within its area of effect. This includes Knightmares, though by the second season newer models have countermeasures added to negate the Disturber's effect; only fifth-generation or older Knightmares remain vulnerable. In addition, the field blocks the motion of hadrons, radio waves, and microwaves. This renders anything within the field invisible to radar, and can aid in the blooming of hadron-based beam weaponry. It is named after the Norse goddess of chastity Gefjun.

The adopted daughter of businessman Larry Harmony, the owner of Central Electronics�the biggest electric company in Unit Blue�Aiko is a sweet and loving girl, but very conflicted. Being the only child of a rich and rather famous family, she is constantly under pressure to succeed her father when he steps down from the company, something she, at only fifteen, is not perfectly certain she wants to do.  Unlike the others, Aiko lives in Gold Town, the rich district of Unit Blue, and because she has every luxury, she is not spoiled, but she is very idealistic, carrying the belief that, because all five of the kids in Gad Guard were &quot;given&quot; Techodes, they all have something in common and therefore should all be friends. Unfortunately for Aiko, she is often met with disagreement from the others, but that hardly gets her down, as she dogs each and every one of them with the prospect again and again. If anything, the girl is determined, believing that there is good in every person, and that every person should be given a chance. For this reason, Aiko is the bridge between the other four, acting as friend to Arashi, reassurance to Hajiki and Takumi, and a peacemaker to Katana. Almost the complete opposite of Kaho, Ai was brought up with humble surroundings and a loud personality. She is also Kotaro&#039;s best friend and next-door neighbor. She may be a huge sports fan, but she&#039;s also extremely clumsy, and has a tendency to have dizzy spells. Running the family fish shop with her father has given her an eagerness to help others, but at the same time she&#039;s easily taken advantage of by others. She&#039;s also very emotional, and can quickly change to laughter, tears and back very quickly. She is also shown to have feelings for Kotaro. She easily gets jealous when Kaho is mentioned with him but she tries not to show it.

Charlotte&#039;s past remains mysterious, as to her name was given by an elder, but it is known that she escaped from the pound. Because of this past, she has shown great disliking of caged, or as she thinks of it, &quot;imprisoned&quot; animals. 15-year-old Scheris Adjani is a former native alter who was rescued from gang members by Ryuhou in a HOLY raid as a child. She joined HOLY shortly after. When first introduced it is obvious that she is a light-hearted and friendly girl. She has a strong crush on Ryuhou, and will follow him to no end. When Mimori Kiryu makes her presence known, Scheris begins to express a certain amount of jealously when she suspects that Mimori and Ryuhou are more than friends. After a period of this, she loses hope and allows Mimori to make her stand. However, in the manga, Scheris is the one who, at the end of the manga, ends up with Ryuhou, after Mimori gave up hope. Scheris is very energetic in most situations.   Scheris' alter ability is "Eternal Devote," which allows her to heal others and bolster their abilities, as well as inflict severe pain through physical contact and even resurrect a fallen comrade. Her alter is difficult to control and saps her of physical strength. But although it was labeled forbidden to use,  ~! Scheris dies using her full alter power to revive a fallen Ryuhou near the end of the series in the episode bearing her name (When she used her alter then it manifested itself as an independent alter). After she disappears, Ryuhou cries out for her after Kazuma lectures him on her death and convinces him to say something for her (sort of like a funeral), giving her the acknowledgment she had been striving for so long. In the manga, she uses her alter to combine with Ryuhou temporarily, allowing him to use the Zetsui Toryudan. Also, Scheris survives in the manga, and uses her love for Ryuhou to help support him, and spur him into victory. She first appears in Episode 1.!~   (Source: Wikipedia)

An honor student at Jun's school. She is quiet, and kind-hearted, although her speech and style tend to be very dry, and she often hides her true feelings. Tomoe was originally Hinaichigo's medium, but the bond between them was broken when Hinaichigo relied too much on Tomoe's energy and was defeated by Shinku. Currently, Tomoe helps Jun in his dealings with the Rozen Maidens and also assists him with his make-up work for school. Before it was severed, Tomoe's bond with Hinaichigo was about as close as siblings. In Rozen Maiden träumend, before Hinaichigo loses her Rosa Mystica, Tomoe reflects on all of the good times and memories she they shared and thanks Hinaichigo for being there. She is mistaken by Shirosaki as Jun's girlfriend.  Tomoe learned kendo from her father from an early age and is a member of the kendo club at school. She is often seen carrying her shinai when class is over. She is also a member of the school committee, seemingly reluctantly.

As the third and youngest daughter of the rich family that owns Rasen Advertising, her usual rich way of living gets spoiled by her being forced to go to a all girls boarding-school. Doris is also a Panzer and can transform at will into the Drill Princess. The name comes from her using a drill as both a weapon and a fashionable hat, though no one else seems to think that her Panzer-suit is fashionable.

A reticent girl. Along with Sagin, she seems to be part of a running gag in the series as both of them never talk, or are always interrupted when they are about to. (Like when Har&eacute; asks for an answer from everyone, and the camera pans over everyone, skipping past Sagin and Rāya when he looked at them.) She only speaks two words in the entire course of the anime series and OVAs - &quot;The Crotch.&quot;    *In episode nineteen of the first season of Hare Nochi Guu, she is talking along side Mari, saying &quot;You&#039;re the worst.&quot;

A quiet and thoughtful girl, in line to be the next Student Council treasurer. She seems to be the sole caretaker for her younger triplet brothers and a frail younger sister called Koyuki. Komaki is very smart, and when at home does all chores to keep the house running smoothly for her and her siblings. As seen in the first OVA episode, she admits to not being a master cook, but her cooking skills appear to be quite good. She always wears a muffler on her neck, for a reason that is not known, but never takes it off no matter how hot it is or even if she is swimming.

Aside from Liliana Vergamon, the only other named member of Luciano Bradley&#039;s Grausam Valkyrie Squadron, a quartet of all female pilots.  Younger sister of Kewell Soresi.     ~!In the novels, she is stated to be attending a military academy in Area 11 during 2017. Prior to her joining the Valkyrie Squadron, she also served under Cornelia along with Liliana. In 2018, she became one of the Grausam Valkyrie Squadron pilots under Luciano Bradley&#039;s command; she and the other Valkyries are killed by Kallen after she escapes her confinement. A very ill and bedridden young girl who is a friend of Precis.

A spirit of a cat in form of a girl. Akari and President Aria meets her in episode 4 of Aria the Animation (&quot;That undeliverable letter&quot;) where she tasks Akari with delivering a letter to an address she couldn&#039;t locate on her computer. She later shows up in various flashback presentations, like the one in episode 13 of Aria the Animation.    Ami is an anime-only character, and does not show up in the manga.

An apparent Shinto priestess. She has an extreme shyness towards males and cannot have them come within a certain distance, otherwise she&#039;ll forcefully fling them into the air. The only man able to come closer than the usual distance is Ichiro, who she is fond of. However, even he is thrown a dozen or so times even when she herself is trying to get closer to him. She&#039;s the only one of the Riders to need her glasses for eyesight reasons. Like Sera, she eventually fails in her attempts to seduce Ichiro.

The uptight, bossy and stubborn class representative of Third Year Class B, and former captain of Hakuryo's lacrosse team. An honor student accomplished in both academics and athletics, she has a tendency to try and do everything herself.

She has a low tolerance for apathetic rule-breakers, landing her in verbal cage-matches with Takeru and the much more free-spirited Kei on a daily basis. She's also close friends and rivals with Akane. 

In Alternative, Chizuru is the commander of Flight A207's B Squad. She lives by the book, valuing rules above all else. As the daughter of the prime minister she was exempt from conscription, but she chose to join the military against his wishes. 


Arara calls herself "The wings of dreams and decadence," and she's Mikeru's fairy-like servant. She's quite peppy and upbeat most of the time. 

She sings two songs in the anime: a peppy song that shoots stars at the Princesses and a sugary sweet song that makes men cheer for her. In the manga, she can make people (or at least a Mermaid Princess) dream about anything she wishes, including nightmares. 

In her real form she has green hair and pink eyes, in her human disguise form her eyes are brown and her hair color stays the same.

Another of the three young women who serve as test pilots for the M1 Astray. Mayura is distinguished by her short hair and tomboyish demeanor.
