Tsukasa is a Wavemaster and the main character. He is a young silver-haired boy clad in grey robes,  At the start of the series, he is seen waking up to find himself in a dungeon in The World, but he has no idea why he is there or who he is. Not much time passes until Tsukasa discovers he is trapped in the game, unable to log out, while his real body is in a coma. He is initially depicted as a cynical loner who tends to avoid others as much as possible, but at the story progresses he begins to warm up to Mimiru, Bear, Subaru, and others.   ~!In the real world, his name is An Shouji, and he happens to be a girl. She was raised by her father after the death of her mother, and was physically and mentally abused by him. His abusive behavior also distanced her from her gender: he treated her like a boy, refusing to allow her to use feminine products and basic hygiene products. There are also subtle hints that her father is an alcoholic. After awaking from her coma, Ryo Sakuma, the player behind Bear, becomes her legal guardian and allows her to go to a boarding school. Yahiko is a samurai descendant. Yahiko's father died during the Battle of Ueno during the Boshin War, slain at the Keneiji Temple. His mother died of syphilis in a brothel to put food on their table not long after giving birth to her son. Yahiko was originally forced to live as a thief for the local Yakuza, who tricked him into believing that he still had to pay off the money the gangsters gave to his mother to buy medicine. With the help of Himura Kenshin and Kamiya Kaoru, he becomes an apprentice of the Kamiya Kasshin-Ryu style. Kunikida is much quieter than Taniguchi with the latter doing most of the talking when the two are hanging out. He and Kyon went to the same junior high school, and may know more about Kyon. A tough young man wielding a sword taller than he is, he quickly develops a soft spot for Fuu, which by the second season has evolved into love. Never completely honest with others, he made himself difficult for our heroines to trust.

James "Jim" Hawking is an eleven-year-old outlaw and the business partner of [Gene Starwind](https://anilist.co/character/1013/). The co-owner of Starwind and Hawking Enterprises, Jim acts as the brains to Gene's brawn in harried situations and is a constant voice of reason.

The little boy who is facinated by Mobile suits. Many of his friends call him a traitor to the colonies since he like Zeon Mobile Suits, and doesn't believe that there is a super mobile suit like the Gundam. He prefers the Zaku out of all mobile suits.   After a battle broke out in the colony, he investigates a Zeon Zaku that was shot down by battle. He encounters Bernard Wiseman, the pilot of the Zaku, and quickly becomes friends with him. He helps Bernard and the Cyclops team find the mysterious N-T Gundam Proto-type.

Rina Takamiya is a classmate of Meimi and Asuka's, and she meets the later in an arcade where she tries to beat a video game for him, much to his dismay. There she witness the delivery of a calling card from Saint Tail, and appears at the location the card indicates, claiming that she will catch Saint Tail because she wants to become a police woman. Along with Asuka she fails, although she is then determined to capture the theif.    As the mayor's daughter, Rina is able to accompany Asuka on his mission to capture Saint Tail. And she soon develops a theory who Saint Tail is, at the same time developing feelings for Asuka herself. She tried reveal Meimi as Saint Tail numerous times, but failed. She also offered to tell Asuka who Saint Tail really was, but he declined, claiming he would catch her on his own to find out.     Rina is a headstrong and stubborn character, she is also physically strong, which balances with Meimi's agility. At the beginning of the series she is also a little taller than Asuka, however, he grows over the series, which sparks some of her feelings for him.

Ruby is Meimi's pet Hedgehog. Her manga introduction is half way through the story, while her anime appearance is quite early in the series. She was bought by a man who forced her to swallow a gem. Saint Tail then steals Ruby from the man to protect the gem inside of her. Ruby also knows Meimi is Saint Tail, and has even been on a previous caper with her, although Meimi has to keep Ruby hidden from Asuka Jr. so he won't recognize her from the previous caper she was in.

Tomoki Himi is a main character in the Digimon anime series Digimon Frontier. In this series, a group of chosen human children were given the ability to turn into Digimon.  Tomoki is the youngest member of the group, and was chosen to wield AncientMegatheriumon's power through the Spirits of ice. When the audience first sees Tomoki, he is being bullied by two older boys, who push him onto the Trailmon that brings the Chosen Children into the Digital World.  Tomoki is always genuine in his feelings and looks up to Takuya Kanbara as his hero. As the series progresses, Tomoki learns to stand up for himself, even fighting his own battles. He learns to become more brave and self-reliant over the course of the series. Unlike the others Tomoki only ever defeated a foe on his own once to the point of destruction. He purified the Chamelemon and defeated them, but they reverted to Armadilomon. The only evil Digimon he ever killed was Asuramon when he was in Sakkakumon's Fire Sphere. King Enma Jr., usually addressed as Koenma, is the son of [Enma](https://anilist.co/character/34456/Enma-Daiou), the ruler of the spirit realm, and the one responsible for appointing [Yusuke Urameshi](https://anilist.co/character/729/Yuusuke-Urameshi) as spirit detective. Koenma first appears as a toddler, which he is often teased about, though he is at least 700 years old and has extensive knowledge of the universe. Koenma is a basic comic relief character and is often shown as cowardly. However, if Yusuke or any of the others are in immediate danger, he will help all he can. He comes off as a good leader and a nice guy for the most part. His job in Spirit World is to decide who goes to Heaven, and who goes to Hell. Some think this should be his father's job, but King Enma is too busy on business trips most of the time.  Also, he has a Jr. sign on his forehead, and still has his pacifier, which has been carried in his mouth for most of his existence, storing up his spirit energy. When the power is unleashed, it creates the Mafukkan, Spirit World's most powerful defensive spell. 


Personal Gunmen: Grapearl (Blue),  ~!Gurren-Lagann (Epilogue)!~  Gimmy Adai is a boy from Adai Village, who used to be cared for by Rossiu. When new children were born into the village, the population exceeded its limit of 50, which mandated that two people be removed and sent to the surface. Since Gimmy and Darry had no parents, the village elder chose them to leave the village, however, Rossiu decided to go with them. The pair of twins have a very good bond with each other, and were often left to their own devices around Dai-Gurren, except when they were with older girls, such as Yoko or Nia. After the timeskip, Gimmy and Darry become important Grapearl pilots, often fighting together. Gimmy tends to be more impulsive and reckless, which sometimes puts the duo in trouble.   ~! After Nia's death, Simon hands down Lagann's Core Drill to Gimmy and in the epilogue, he is seen alongside Darry, not only as commanders of the Grapearl squad, but as the new pilots of Gurren Lagann.!~

Elk&#039;s PC is a young, blue-haired boy wearing dark blue robes. He almost always has a gloomy expression on his face. In terms of appearance, he is an almost identical twin of Tsukasa, the only difference being minute changes in their robes, gloves, and hat, and a change in color scheme. Tsukasa is mostly gray and brown while Elk is blue and gray. Elk&#039;s face tattoo is also slightly different.   Elk is a rather insecure person online. He seems to have a lot of trouble trusting other players, and is always shocked when somebody is nice to him. The only person he seems to trust is Mia, who he is rarely separated from. He can be downright mean to people if he feels they are trying to draw Mia&#039;s attention away from him.      ~!Offline, Elk&#039;s player is Kaoru Ichinose (一ノ瀬薫), a thirteen-year-old middle school student who joined The World to make friends and attempt to change his shy and passive personality. Kaochin is a character that approaches Subaru after she leaves the knights. She is jealous of Subaru and proclaims that she is not copying her outfit wise. She attacks Subaru and says she's weak and nearly kills Subaru's character but Subaru stands up to her after remembering what Crim said to her when she first meet him. She is only seen in this small part of the anime and then disappears as none of the main characters come in contact with her.

Mondo's genius girlfriend, whose intentions match his. Upon entering the Sixgate world, Rokuna was granted the ability to "see into the hearts of monsters", allowing her to telepathically communicate with the monsters without language. Her combat strength is in effect and field spells, otherwise she battles using an indefinitely extending pink ribbon that functions much like a tentacle.

She loves cute and sparkly things, takes care of the household and has an affinity for pink. She's also interested in physics and has creepy tendencies. Those that know her well are afraid of her, including her classmates and especially Mondo and her father. Rokuna is prone to violent retaliation if either does something she considers rude, ranging from stomping to kicking in the face to smiting with lightning. The latter especially applies when Mondo is hitting on other girls. She holds no hard feelings to the girls themselves, though.

Rokuna is fairly motherly in nature, gladly taking care of things that need it, whether they be cute little things or gigantic monsters. Having grown up without a proper mother figure and needing to take care of her childish father, she drifts between being either dependent or assertive in her role. On one side she can stand strong and takes responsibilities, yet when Mondo's around to offer protection she gladly takes it.

An 11-year-old boy of about Lain's age, who occasionally works for the Knights to bring forth "the one truth." He has not yet been made a member, and is unaware of their full intentions. Taro loves virtual reality video games and hangs out all day at the Cyberia night-club with his friends, Myu-Myu and Masayuki. He has been described as a "techno punk teenager" by Michael Tribett, and uses special technology, such as custom HandiNavis and video goggles. Taro takes pride in his internet anonymity, and asks Lain for a date with her Wired self in exchange for information.

Yuri&#039;s older brother who is apparently a genius, likes to play dating simulators and is very protective of Yuri (once described by Murata as having a &quot;brother-complex&quot;). He is to become Bob&#039;s successor as the Maoh of Earth. When he was younger, he met Bob who rescued Yuri and him from some bullies. While initially despising his parents for having a divorcement argument, he also resented the fact that Yuri will have to go to Shin Makoku eventually. Bob explained to him it will happen in the future, and Shori was contented being with Yuri for the time being. Shori wanted Yuri to call him &quot;oni-chan&quot; but Yuri refused to and became more independent when he went to elementary school. It is seen that Shori communicates regularly with Bob, who he complains emphasizes his age more than anything else. Apparently his short term ambition is to become the Mayor of Tokyo.    Often carrying a cold attitude, he did not welcome having Wolfram and the others in his house. He seems especially distasteful to Conrad, and makes a point of demanding that Conrad returns his clothes to him properly cleaned (since the two of them are about the same build and size, Jennifer usually lends Shori&#039;s clothing to Conrad). Later, he and Conrad form an understanding based on their mutual desire to protect Yuri.    Once Shori ends up in Shin Makoku, he becomes suspicious about the Original King, Ken Murata, and the four forbidden boxes. He correctly deduces that Ken would betray them, but nobody believed Shori until Ken betrayed Yuri by allowing Yuri to be possessed by the Original King.    Shori eventually goes to Shin Makoku where he learns to use the powerful maryoku he possesses. Wolfram gave Shori a pact to the elements, somewhat like how Odine gave a pact to Yuri to gain control of his maryoku. Shori&#039;s maryoku is like of Yuri&#039;s, the control of water, but initially Shori&#039;s maryoku takes the form of a giant hand. He is, however, seen to be able to shape his maryoku into water dragons after some training with Ulrike, who comments that Shori is extraordinary because he learnt to control his maryoku slightly in a short span of time. Rock achieved a long life as an actor because of his various defects and his portrayals of the numerous dark sides of human nature; Kenichi meanwhile, is loved as the everlasting youth in Tezuka Osamu's Manga. At any rate, Tezuka Osamu's Manga began in earnest with the meeting of Tezuka Osamu and Kenichi-kun. Kenichi was given the leading role in the majority of the early works, including "New Treasure Island", and was the first star of Tezuka Osamu's Manga. He looked out intently onto the world, was habitually considerate and never forgot to be kind, and in this he embodied the kind of conscientiousness and purity of "childhood days". Afterwards, the Manga world started to focus attention on "realities that cannot be communicated through the agency of simple integrity". Due to the need to exist as outsiders from human society, leading characters, including Atom, came to have other facets to their characters in addition to their innocent righteousness.

Tezuka Osamu himself said, "I was forced to relinquish Kenichi from his role as protagonist because he lacked individuality." In the same way as people even come to feel embarrassed by the innocence of their sense of equity as children when they reach adulthood, the Manga world forgot Kenichi as it struggled to grow up. Nonetheless, no matter how grown up, how adult our faces become, our "childhood days" live on forever in our hearts, and in the same way, Kenichi continued to put in straight performances as the "righteous boy" who occasionally appears in Tezuka Osamu's Manga.
