One of the few people close to Ovan who acts as leader of the Twilight Brigade whenever Ovan is incapable of doing so. Gentle-mannered but strong-minded, she holds the Twilight Brigade together during Ovan's frequent absences. She and Ovan seem to have a more involved relationship than mere guildmates, as they have both known and seen each other somewhat frequently outside the game as it was alluded to when they talked about Shino's hospital visits.

~!During episode 13 of .hack//Roots, Shino is attacked by Tri-Edge and Azure Kite is framed, resulting in her PC seemingly erased and her real self sent into a coma. She had been living alone and her landlord discovered her unconscious. The doctors cannot treat her because they do not know the cause behind her coma. Those who have suffered fates like hers are referred to as a Lost One, since it is rumored that once PKed by Tri-Edge a player can never return to the game.!~

First appeared in the Bakeneko arc of Ayakashi. She was on the boat for Edo in hopes of finding another life for herself. Due to her previous experience at the Sakai mansion, she assists the Medicine Seller and admires him more than her fellow travelers.

Janet Bhai,  also known as Greenback Jane, is a professional money counterfeiter from India. She served as the leader for her project team, which was spread around the world but was connected thanks to the internet, and is quite knowledgeable on the details of the dollar bill. Coincidentally, she falls in love with Benny after he displays his hacking skills. Janet currently seems to be having an internet romance with Benny. One of the running gags of her story arc is her clumsiness and poor luck, which usually result in her being subject to a pantyshot.    (Source: Wikipedia)

Naoko Yanagisawa is one of Sakura Kinomoto's elementary school classmates and friends. She is also on the school's cheerleading squad with Sakura, despite being rather bad at gymnastics. Naoko loves to read, particularly fantasy stories and ghost stories. She finds mysterious situations fascinating and shows no fear of scary situations.

During an interview, Clamp noted that they had originally intended for the character to have a long-distance boyfriend, but the chapter featuring that story was cut out of the series.

Based on the original villain Princess Morbucks, this incarnation of Princess is an incredibly snobby rich young girl who was affected by the black Chemical Z light. At first, it didn't take effect, but her anger towards the Powerpuff Girls Z became unbearable, and soon she turned into a psychotic looking version of her former self, which was appropriately dubbed "Princess-sama" (or Monster Princess by girls). Himeko is constantly looking for attention from her classmates, but the current popularity of the Powerpuff Girls Z infuriates her as well as anyone who gets more attention than she does (her reason for not liking Ms. Keane). This is all due to her jealousy towards her more talented older sister Miko, who gets her parents' attention and in turn causes them to neglect Himeko. Whenever Himeko's cat Sapphire screeches (usually by accident), she transforms into Princess. Princess' abilities change from episode to episode, but she possesses basic abilities similar to the girls such as flight and enhanced strength. She appears to have some sort of hammerspace as she can produce items at any time, such as a rocket launcher, her diamond claw, and money. In episode 16, Princess' hair style and abilities change based on which special collar Professor Utonium places on Sapphire, each of the collars has an animal on it. Himeko has no memory of Princess' activities. Himeko is also very suspicious of Momoko, Miyako, and Kaoru's habit of skipping class. She tries to unveil the truth, although she fails to do so. A common running gag with Princess is whenever she is caught by the Powerpuff Girls Z, they knock her out of the air and catch her in a giant purse, often calmly saying 'yes, okay' before leaving. Dr. Marronflower small robot assistant. In battle she attaches to Marronflower&rsquo;s machines to act as their OS. Out of battle she transforms into a young woman and poses as Kurisaburo&rsquo;s granddaughter Kurika. She has a loving mother personality and likes to take cares of the other tenants. Although she is Dr. Marronflower&rsquo;s faithful servant, she has her own free will and defies him at times when she feels it&rsquo;s in his best interests.

Hitomi is an ordinary school-girl with a crush on her track-team leader, Amano.  She meets and saves the life of Van, a young prince from that crossed a portal from a different world in order to slay a dragon. Transported to Van's world, Gaia, she finds her fate is intertwined with his, even if her heart still belongs to Amano and later Allen, a gallant knight who bears an uncanny resemblance to Amano.  Lost in Gaia with no apparent way to return home, Hitomi finds that her hobby of tarot card reading is becoming frighteningly accurate, complete with visions of both the past and future that shed light on this new, war torn world.

Tsukushi Makino is the main female character, and is one of the very few students at the prestigious Eitoku University to come from an "unwealthy" family. Her family is so poor that they can barely afford to pay Makino's tuition, but her parents push her on to continue school because they have a dream that she can "snag a rich man" and take them out of poverty.  At the beginning of the manga, Makino was a poor, pig-tailed girl who had almost no friends at school and kept to herself. When one of her only friends falls down a staircase and bumps in the leader of the F4, Makino stands up for her friend (Domyoji was about to hurt her for bumping into him) and suffers the consequences.      The next day, a red tag is hanging in her locker, which predicts future torment from the F4 and followers. But, unlike most of the F4's targets, Makino stands up for herself, showing how strong a "weed" can be.     In this process, she changes to let her stubborn, hardworking ways show through, and in the end she turns all of the F4 into her friends.      At first, Makino hates all of the F4 except Hanazawa Rui, (which she has romantic feelings towards). But, as Rui goes off to chase after Shizuka, Makino gets to know them, and even slowly falls in love with the hotheaded leader, Domyoji.

Sango is youkai slayer ("youkai taijiya") who hails from a village of professional yōkai slayers. The only member of Inuyasha's group to have no supernatural powers, Sango instead wields the Hiraikotsu, a massive boomerang made of yōkai bones, in addition to a broad repertoire of tools and tricks for battling yōkai. Sango is also a victim of Naraku's evil schemes; her family was killed and her entire village destroyed by Naraku's yōkai so that Naraku could then blame Inuyasha and manipulate Sango into trying to kill him. When his plot failed, Naraku used a shard of the Shikon Jewel to revive and control her little brother Kohaku, forcing him to fight Inuyasha and company, and using him as a means by which to manipulate Sango. She seeks vengeance against Naraku, but her primary goal is to rescue Kohaku from Naraku's influence and somehow save his life, although currently it's uncertain if she will be able to do so as Kohaku's life is tied to the jewel shard. She has obvious feelings towards Miroku, although she is offended by his constant groping and lechery. ("Sango" means "coral".)   ~!In the end, Sango marries Miroku and they have they have three kids together.!~ 

Rai works with Karuta against the Red Emperors Army. She collects information about the enemy from various sources. She is not a good fighter but she is courageous.

Yuriko is the only daughter of Taichi Hiraga-Keaton and his ex-wife whom he met while attending Oxford. Yuriko has been under the care of her mother after the couple divorced when she was five years old.

A scholarship student, 16-year-old Juli is the top-ranking student and recognized leader of the Zwei.
During Lucson's stint as "captain", ~!she was the actual de facto exerciser of that role, and after the fall of Team Blue, was appointed the role by majority vote.!~

Calm and kind, with an inner fortitude, Juli lacks the charisma of a leader. She is very beautiful, and those around her (especially her mostly-male classmates) see it as a shame she lacks a sense of her own femininity. She helped take care of Pat when the Ryvius initially started up, and he looks up to her as a surrogate sister and mother. ~!Her parents are presumed to have died at an early age, as she grew up in an orphanage and thus tends to solve problems by herself.!~

Komatsu came to Tokyo, looking to find her dream. Unlike Osaki, Komatsu came from a large and happy household, though her childish outlook prevented her from living on her own initially. She&#039;s the middle child of three sisters.  Her chance encounter with Osaki began a friendship which changes Komatsu&#039;s life forever. She is introduced to Osaki&#039;s band, Black Stones, and their members. She later even helps &quot;Blast&quot; to find their bassist, by drawing a poster to advertise the vacancy. Much to her surprise, she also discovers that the members of Blast were friends with the members of Trapnest, a popular rock band of which she&#039;s a very big fan.

Ten years ago, on a training trip in the country, Genma stole Ukyo&#039;s father&#039;s okonomiyaki yatai (food cart), leaving her behind and breaking the arrangement he and her father made. However, before this Ranma and Ukyo were friends, though Ranma never knew she was a girl. Shamed and ridiculed by her peers, Ukyo decided she wouldn&#039;t like boys, dressed and lived as one, and devoted herself to okonomiyaki-style martial arts. After a heated battle, Ranma discovers her true sex. Meanwhile, she discovers that he does not get along with his &quot;uncute&quot; fianc&eacute;e, Akane. They reconcile, and she falls in love with him again. Ranma still treats her as only an old friend, and her plots to win him over are usually less violent than those of his other suitors. Saloma is a gardener, and seems to run her own flower shop. She is also the owner of the Net Navi Woodman, though she does not Net Battle in public very often. She will lend a hand to Rockman and Netto though when they need help. Woodman comes in handy against Electrical Navi&#039;s because he can absorb their attacks. Saloma is a very nice and gentle girl, and is friends with Netto and the others. ^_^ She often is seen hanging out with Miyuki as well.     Saloma also contains a secret identity as a special Net Agent, known as &quot;Black Rose&quot;. Alongside with Miyuki and Masa (MiyuMiyu and Commander Beef), they fight against crime alongside Netto and the others! 

Shuurei Kou is the daughter and only child of Shouka Kou of the Kou clan, one of the two most powerful clans in Saiunkoku. She is sixteen years old when the story begins. As a descendant of the direct line, she has the title hime, which means &#039;princess&#039; or &#039;lady&#039;. Despite the high social status of her family, Shuurei grew up in relatively impoverished circumstances. Her father&#039;s job brought little income, and much of the wealth of their family home was given to the needy during the devastating fight for the imperial succession eight years ago. There are no servants at the Kou residence, so Shuurei has grown adept at household chores such as needlework, cooking and cleaning, traits unusual in a lady of high social standing. She has also held a number of odd jobs to earn money, acting as a professional erhu player, working as an accountant at Kochou&#039;s brothel in the Red Light District, and serving as a teacher at the local temple.    In the English version, her name is Shurei Hong since Kou is another family name in the series. Kou has two kanji symbols in Japanese, one red the other Yellow, which explains why two families have the same romanised name. Yuki is the end result of the super-secret YLPER (similar to ESPER, short for "Ylem perception", according to the manga) Project, which attempted to create 'Esper weapons' though the use of genetic manipulation, it appears that she is one of a group of four (Lisa, Hiroko and Annie are the others). Her primary power is precognition and clairvoyance. However, as it is explained in the anime (episode XRP - 77 by the character Annie) she also possesses the power of the other three subjects, which means that she also possesses the ability to teleport things (including herself and a group of people), create force shields capable of reflecting or neutralising various attacks and cause things to explode with the power of her mind, all of these powers make her capable (as confirmed by Toru in the very last episode of the anime) of "changing the future with her own hands".  She was found by Rally Cheyenne in the street crying and was later recruited for her enormous psychic powers, Yuki is the team's 'mascot', dispatch officer and Lebia's data processing assistant. Although Yuki sometimes acts a little airheaded (she's only a teenager), she can show a great deal of courage when needed  Yuki runs a small coffee shop called Labyrinth, but it is more a hobby than a business since she is a full-time police officer. However, the lease stipulates that as long as she runs it, she doesn't have to pay rent. (It is later revealed that this is because Toru Washio, her life-long love owns the building  she lives in).  She met her love interest, Toru Washio in 1997 as a result of an encounter with a Lucifer Hawk and a magical coffee mill. He was 17 at the time and she was 18. They met again after Yuki returned to her own time, 2027, Toru having waited over thirty years for her.  Towards the end of the anime it is revealed that Touru was also responsible for founding project YLPER - he had sold his soul to Nemesis so that he could see Yuki again, when he finally understood the plans that Ganossa had for Earth and Nemesis, he started the above project so that the humans "had a chance to win over the Lucifer Hawks" (episode 26).

Leena Toros is the daughter of the Blitz Team&#039;s manager, and is portrayed as a stereotypically loud and bubbly sixteen year-old girl. She pilots two different Zoids over the course of the series, the Dibison and Gunsniper, and is regarded as notoriously trigger-happy in combat, bordering on psychotic.   Leena is the target of the continual advances of Harry Champ, although fan speculation is that she secretly harbours a love for Bit Cloud (with whom she constantly gets into arguments).

Kurumi is a young woman who is an itinerant martial artist along with her older sister, Natsume. For years the two wandered Japan in search of their long-lost father, Soun Tendo. They briefly usurped Akane Tendo and Ranma Saotome’s claim to inherit the Tendo Dojo and carry on Anything Goes Martial Arts after challenging and defeating them, but conceded their claim following a rematch. Asuka is a female classmate of Daichi's who the latter has a crush on. Asuka believes in spirits because her grandmother passed away prior to the story's beginning and she felt that her grandmother's spirit was still around. When Daichi takes photos of the mansion, she's happy and even after they are found to be fake, she still is thankful for the gesture Daichi made to cheer her up.
