Mako is a close friend of Nemu and is often concerned about her. She can be angered easily. She has had a rivalry with Suginami since elementary school and they often quarrel. During lunch, she can often be found on the rooftop with her sister Moe enjoying some nabe. She and her sister Moe are daughters of a wealthy hospital director, and they have a younger brother.

Amu Hinamori, the series protagonist, is a student of Seiyo Elementary. Amu's classmates see her as a "Cool and Spicy" girl, but Amu is actually extremely shy and timid. Part of the reason for this misunderstanding is the trendy punk clothing her mother buys for her as well as the way in which she expresses her shyness and avoids doing new things. However, when Amu wishes for the courage to be reborn as her "would-be self", three colorful eggs appear the next morning, which later give birth to Amu's three Guardian Characters: Ran, Miki, and Su.

Sailor Lethe and Sailor Mnemosyne appear only in Act 48 of the manga. They are twin sisters and come from the planets Lethe and Mnemosyne, respectively. Their planets were small, poor, and plagued by violence and chaos. When Galaxia appeared and brought death and ruin, the two had no choice but to follow her in the hopes of someday finding peace.    Sailor Mnemosyne is named for the Titaness of memory, the mother of the muses, as well as another river in the underworld which brought remembrance and omniscience.    Sailor Lethe first introduces herself as the ferryman of the desert river. She traps Eternal Sailor Moon at the bottom of the River of Oblivion, kills Luna, Artemis, and Diana, and attacks Sailor Moon. She is stopped by Sailor Mnemosyne, who says that Sailor Moon has been hurt enough.    Lethe says that Sailor Moon's Sailor Crystal, the Ginzuishou, is the cause for all of the wars they are experiencing, and that if it is destroyed, there will be peace. Sailor Moon offers her life if it will end the violence. Lethe and Mnemosyne are so moved by her self-sacrifice that they realize that whether or not Sailor Moon dies, the war will continue. Just as they are about to release the Senshi, Sailor Chi and Sailor Phi appear. These call Lethe and Mnemosyne useless fools and take their Sailor Crystals, which kills them.

Natsumi is a close personal friend of Senkawa.

Elsie is a shinigami who was assigned to capture evil spirits that have escaped from hell and is the Deuteragonist of the story. She is shown to have a very sweet, pure and innocent personality and often tries to please [Keima](https://anilist.co/character/13468/Katsuragi-Keima)'s expectations as a "little sister" though often fails due to the cultural differences between them.

Her feather cloth (the floating scarf she is always seen with) can change the appearance of an object, create disguises, or hide people in plain sight. She is left-handed and is rarely seen without her broom, which she had for 298 years, as it was from her original role as a cleaner for hell. Ironically, despite being a demon, she is shown to have an incredible fear of ghosts and the dark.  

To stay close to Keima, she tells [Mari](https://anilist.co/character/22308/Katsuragi-Mari), Keima's mother, that she is an illegitimate child of Keima's father (nearly getting his parents divorced), and ends up living in the Katsuragi household as well as attending the same class in school.

Diamond (true name unknown) is Amu&#039;s fourth Guardian Character, with a musical flair. She became an X Egg when Amu disliked all the changes that were happening,and then hatched as an X Character after Utau finds her egg and character tranforms with her as Dark Jewel. Since Amu did not know Dia&#039;s real name, Amu just calls the Guardian Character &quot;Dia&quot;, a shorter form of &quot;Diamond&quot;.     

When Amu convinces Dia that she can change, the &#039;X-mark&#039; is lifted and a Character Transformation sparks as the two become &quot;Amulet Diamond&quot;. Dia didn&#039;t like Amu because she didn&#039;t have a sparkling heart like Utau but finds out later that Amu does so she goes back to Amu. Afterward, Dia goes back into her egg to slumber until Amu &quot;shines again&quot;. She rarely but does come out in some episodes once in a while.

Nana also has a special ability to communicate with various alien beasts and animals. She also uses an invention of Lala which enables her to store her friends in a virtual space and summon them at will.  Nana stated that she is the inferior twin, being flat. People say that she is the worser behaved of the two, even though Nana says it's because most do not know of Momo's dark side. Despite this, even after they argue, they make up again. Nana supports her Lala's relationship with Rito, even though she calls him a beast many times, this only helps Momo's harem plan in the end.

A Level 0, classmate and friend of [Uiharu](https://anilist.co/character/20622) who is known for wearing a flower on the left side of her hair. She is a little shameless as she sometimes flips Uiharu's skirt in public.  She first appears in the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun manga and its anime series and makes a cameo appearance in the Toaru Majutsu no Index light novel series and the opening of the anime.   ~!When rumors of a special tool that increases psychic powers called the "Level Upper" spread, she considers obtaining it out of envy as she does not have any apparent powers. Tsubaki Hibino is the main protagonist of Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu. She loves doing her little sister's hair but doesn't think the cute styles suit her at all. Kyouta Tsubaki makes her his next "target", and she ends up falling in love with him.   ~! A scythe-wielding ghost girl in a maid costume, Airi was given human form by the evil Swamp Witch in her quest for domination. Airi serves every whim of her mistress quite willingly. Used primarily for assassinations, she can literally suck the vitality of her enemies simply by touching them.

Blue Fan is the short blonde woman in the Kuja Pirates. Her name was revealed in a SBS in Volume 54.


Mihoshi is a cheerful girl who is one year older than Saku, though has a tendency to act childish. She is very enthusiastic about, and has a strong love for, the universe, a trait passed down from her late father. She has always enjoyed going outside and stargazing or doing other activities, and would usually take Saku along with her, often against his will. She is thrilled to be reunited with her childhood friend Saku and convinces him to join the astronomy club at school.

Koume is a cheerful and energetic girl and the second member of the girl&#039;s baseball team, who plays as a catcher. Her traditional parents insist that she wear a kimono rather than a sailor uniform, which annoys her. She has a close friendship with Akiko and the assistant at her family&#039;s restaurant.

One of the main heroines of the story, she is the childhood friend of Takumi, and has been with him ever since they were both in the orphanage. She has a habit of meaning entirely the opposite of what she usually says, a fact only Takumi seems to be aware of. It was revealed that Takumi was the unwitting inspiration for this habit. She works at the Stray Cats as a part-time job. When she's angry, she tends to shout "Die twice already!" to the poor soul who incurred her wrath. In addition, Takumi (and occasionally Ieyasu) is the unfortunate recipient of much of her violent outbursts, ironically it being him who taught her that. She has a crush on Takumi, and is frequently teased about it by her good friend, Kanae. She confesses to Takumi in a panic, and leaves Takumi somewhat hanging on the credibility of what she had said, stating both love and hate towards him. Fumino's parents died in an accident, leaving her orphaned. She is also shown to be extremely jealous when Takumi gets along well with other girls. She is easily embarrassed, and can get worked up if someone even suggests that she cares for them. To hide this, she normally comes up with unrealistic lies to hide her concern for anyone.

She is the one who recruits Ryōshi into Otogi Bank. She is a close friend of Ryōko Ōkami, and is always trying to involve herself with her best friend's love life. Like Ryōko, she tends to smile to hide her true feelings, and admires Ryōko for trying to become stronger. She is based on the Little Red Riding Hood from the book of the same name, though some aspects of her scheming, manipulative personality closer resemble the poisoned apple ("Ringo" means apple) of Snow White, a fact which is occasionally referenced by the narrator and other characters. She is also the half sister of "Snow White" Shirayuki Himeno and feels responsible for her past.

Sanae is [Eiko Aizawa's](https://anilist.co/character/34653/Eiko-Aizawa) childhood friend and classmate, and is completely infatuated with [Ika Musume](https://anilist.co/character/20512/Ika-Musume).

Sanae has an obsessive crush over Ika Musume, much to their dismay. She is constantly taking pictures of Ika, and often imagines situations in which she would win over Ika's heart, and gets jealous whenever she sees other girls with Ika. Ika does not return Sanae's affections, and is often disgusted by Sanae's attempts to approach her, to the point where she often hit them away with their tentacles and spray them with ink. This doesn't help however, as Sanae seems to exhibit a strange masochistic pleasure out of this. Although, if she's called up by Eiko for a serious errand, Sanae is able to keep calm even when around Ika and help out. She owns a pet dog named [Alex](https://anilist.co/character/53811/Alex), and keeps a wardrobe full of cosplay outfits.

Junko appears in the third OVA and was replaced by Shana for an investigation about a Tomogara.

Sena Kashiwazaki is the female tritagonist of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai series. She is the first recruited member of the Neighbor's Club and the daughter of Tenma Kashiwazaki, headmaster of St. Chronica's Academy. Her wealth, beauty, and outstanding academic and athletic performance have made her popular among male students, and likewise, have made her an outcast among girls. Starting from high school, Sena continuously took first place in all tests, exams, and competitions. A year prior to the start of the story, Sena in her freshman year of high school, won multiple athletic events in the school annual festival. She entered the 200-meter race, cavalry battle, the scavenger hunt race, the obstacle race, the bread-eating race, the marathon, winning all of them effortlessly. 

On the outside, Sena appears to be an ordinary high school girl, but in truth, Sena is arrogant and prideful by nature and she is well aware of this. Sena considers herself to be the school queen or goddess and so often she treats her male classmates only as servants to be used, although many of them would like to be her boyfriend. Nonetheless, she holds [Kodaka](https://anilist.co/character/37512/Hasegawa-Kodaka) to a higher standard. Sena also believes that there are two types of girls; the ones who are willing to be her friends and the others who are not worthy of her. Sena also does not treat the boys in her class with much respect due to them constantly ogling her, and slavishly doing whatever she tells them to. Sena was surprised to see that Kodaka does not act like the boys in her class (wanting to be stepped on) and hence, views Kodaka in a different light. She first saw him in this different light when he rescued her from some guys who were harassing her at a public pool. Since then, her feelings have increased to the point where she nonchalantly admits that she wouldn't mind marrying him and that she is in love with him. Her father was the best friend of [Hayato Hasegawa](https://anilist.co/character/77733/Hasegawa-Hayato), and because of this, some time in her early childhood Sena met Kodaka Hasegawa (though both of them couldn't remember this).

Ohana's mother, who works as a professional writer.   Satsuki is seen on bad terms with her own mother, calling her "the mother I've always hated".    ~!Satsuki had rejected her mother's wishes for her to inherit the inn, leaving her mother and brother to run it as she left for her own life. !~  Due to her boyfriend writing her name on his papers, the debt he falls into forces Satsuki to make a moonlight escape from her normal life. As a result, Ohana is sent to her grandmother's inn due to the not-so-motherly nature of Satsuki.  She has a surprisingly infamous reputation at the Inn, being the first topic at hand when staff members talk to Ohana for the first time.

The seventh daughter. She is 12-years-old and is a first-year in junior high school. She has an outgoing and cheerful personality.

The main protagonist of the series. She's quite enthusiastic about tennis. She will sometimes swing around objects ( Which also include a pitchfork much to her mother's chagrin.) around. After graduating from high school, Kanae enrolled at the Amusement Media Academy, a vocational school for voice actors and artists, and graduated in 2007. Prior to graduating she was a member of two voice acting groups called Koetchi (こえっち) and Rirachitchi (りらちっち) before both groups disbanded in December 2005 and January 28, 2007 respectively.

Her first major role came in 2007 when she played the lead heroine, Amu Hinamori, from the anime Shugo Chara!. The show became a hit and Kanae was praised by critics. Since then, she has voiced Amu in other Shugo Chara! franchises including radio serials, drama CDs and video games.  

She and fellow voice actress Aki Toyosaki are good friends who worked together on several anime including Shugo Chara!, To Love-Ru, The World God Only Knows, Hanasaku Iroha and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun (both also hosted the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun web radio show, Radio no Railgun). 

She was also nominated for "Best Rookie Voice Actress," at the 4th Seiyuu Awards.  

In January 1st, 2024, she announced on both her blog and Twitter account that she got married to a man from outside the entertainment industry.
