Aestivalis pilot and rabid Gekigangar III fangirl, she was ejected from the L2 colony in a capsule which crashed into the Nadesico; making her way through the air ducts, she was directly over Akito's room as he was watching a tragic episode of Gekiganger. Moved to tears, her wailing could be heard through the overhead vent, right before she fell out of it and onto him.

Satoshi's older sister. A stereotypical teenage girl, she is quite intent on being cool by shying away from the family's Osaka influences. She diets and has an interest in fortune telling. Sayaka shows up within the Abenobashi dimensions accompanying Mune-mune and Ms. Aki.

Ryusuke&#039;s sister who is a talented singer with a strange relationship with Koyuki. At times she seems attracted to him, at others she brushes him off with little regard to his often ignored feelings.

Revy, sometimes referred by her full name Rebecca Lee, is the female protagonist of the series. She does most of the fighting for the Lagoon Company. Very little is revealed about her past, although portions can be pieced together through the series. Revy is a Chinese-American born and raised in Chinatown, Manhattan, near Mott Street, spending most of her youth as a thief and murderer. Flashbacks throughout the series reveal that Revy may have honed her skills with firearms by shooting at cans, and that her first murder may have involved shooting her father while using a pillow. It is unknown whether the pillow was used to suppress the noise or to help avoid looking at her first victim.

~!In the 3rd season, it is revealed that she was also raped in a jail cell!~ Revy is very competitive, easily bored, and extremely ill-tempered. Unlike Rock, she is undiplomatic, believing in the use of brute force and coercion to get her way. In contrast to this, she's revealed to be highly ticklish.  Revy is a merciless and sadistic killer, without a conscience, who will kill anyone at the slightest provocation, even unarmed civilians (as seen in episode 6). Dutch once made reference to University of Texas shooter Charles Whitman in describing Revy after she slaughtered the crew of the Neo-Nazis' boat after a previous conversation with Rock brought up some unpleasant memories, resulting in an internal fit of rage - she even threatened Rock with death if he ever questions or tampers with her way of life. Of all the characters in the series, Revy uses the most foul language. She takes maniacal glee in killing anyone and everyone. She is also a heavy smoker and drinker.  She has a changing but volatile attitude towards Rock; though she respects him later in the series, she is mostly hostile towards him. She shot Rock at point blank range, but he moved her gun at the last second, during a confrontation in episode 7, and in episode 1 emptied most of a magazine in his direction while arguing with Dutch about their hostage. However, she does have a tendency to save Rock from critical situations, and later on she admits to considering Rock as family to Balalaika. It is possible that she has an attraction to Rock, based on her reactions to Eda's teasing, which appear to be jealousy.  According to CIA agents on Basilan Island, towards the end of episode 12, Revy is still notorious in the NYPD, particularly at the 27th Precinct. Since the 27th Precinct does not exist in real-life New York City, this throwaway reference may - or may not - indicate an odd connection to Dick Wolf's Law and Order franchise. This is further suggested in a later episode, when Revy specifically mentions the series.  Revy is one of the deadliest fighters in the series, whose skill with firearms and ability to dodge bullets is almost superhuman and unparallelel. There are only a few other characters, such as Roberta and Ginji, that can hold their ground against her in combat. Her weapons of choice are a pair of modified Beretta 92FS's; which are made out of stainless steel and had their barrels extended from 4.9" to 5.9" each (the 5.9" is the combat MOD barrel) and also adapted for silencers. They are engraved with "9mm Sword Cutlass" on both sides, as well as the Jolly Roger of the infamous pirate Calico Jack (which is also inlaid into the ivory grips), and a manufacture inscription in Thai. Due to her ambidextrous marksmanship skills, she is nicknamed "Two Hands" by the denizens of Roanapur. However, Revy has been seen using a variety of other firearms.  Constantly living on the edge of life, Revy has developed a rather bleak, almost nihilistic outlook on life, relying only on her own power, skills, and money. She does not believe in God or emotions. However, she seems to respect and trust her companions. 

Known as the Fire Witch to many, Kirima has made few friends due the way she distances herself from others: she knows that she is too dangerous for 'normal' people to associate with. She has a messianic complex, and seeks to save the world from whatever may threaten it. Ruki is the type of person who, in the beginning, sees Digimon as nothing more than mere computer data. She aspires for her partner, Renamon, to become the strongest Digimon ever. Eventually, she realizes that the two must be on equal partnership and friendship. She is a bit bitter and slightly antisocial thanks to her parents' divorce, but Takato, Jenrya and Renamon, manage to bring out the best in her, by showing her (among other things) that friendship is priceless.  Ruki's relationship with Renamon is unusual (due to Renamon being the most mature of rookie Digimon), they talk as equal than either a pet or a playful child. Ruki's proud, independent, grouchy and cynical personality is substantially different from most of the female characters in the series, pretty much a typical teenage rebel.   ~!Her personality is due to her parents divorcing. She was closer to her dad, and her mom doesn't really understand her, always pushing the tomboyish Ruki to try and be a model. This left Ruki feeling isolated, and forced her to be defensive and rebellious. As a self defense mechanism mentally, she believes she "doesn't need anyone". Which is believed to account for the way she treats Renamon at first.  Deep down, Ruki is loving and caring: wishing to protect her friends as well as the city. Even though she puts on a "defensive act", being tomboyish is a genuine part of her personality.!~

Excel&#039;s junior officer, with a penchant for dying and reviving in quick succession.  She is noticeably Ilpalazzo&#039;s favorite officer, usually receiving lighter punishment and higher promotions than Excel. Hyatt is a rather innocent, naive and sensible woman, often serving as the agent that thinks things through more as opposed to Excel who seems to act on impulse. Kaname is the female protagonist of the series. She is often described as, 'The kind of girl everyone looks up to, but not even a boy wants as their girlfriend', as a male, fellow student put it. She's very much the loud mouth, speak your mind kind of girl; a trait she picked up when she studied abroad in the United States. Until then, she feels like she must protect Sousuke from the harsh, cruel world of high school - a place where he doesn't quite fit.

Sousuke is assigned to guard her as she is one of the "Whispered". People that have in their subconscious very technologically advanced knowledge that numerous governments and other groups want to use for their own means.

She often uses a paper fan to hit Sousuke, besides berating him on how the kinds of weapons he uses are not exactly proper for a high school student. While she criticizes Sousuke for being too militaristic and overprotective, she appreciates it under life or death situations. Chidori develops serious feelings for Sousuke and is dejected when he is so obtuse in such matters. Eventually Chidori confesses her love to Sousuke and the latter reciprocates it.

Nagisa Misumi is the ace of the school lacrosse team. She is also a close friend of Akane, who has her own Takoyaki stand. Her alter ego, Cure Black, is the strong fighter of the Pretty Cure duo. She is the one with the strength and the heart. She is quite girly and image conscious, and has a large collection of stuffed animals. Nagisa is weak in academics but makes up for it with pure spirit and energy. She also has a large appetite and loves to eat chocolate and, according to Honoka, foods with the word "yaki" in the name. She likes shopping but tends to squander her money and ends up having none when she needs it most. Nagisa has a crush on Honoka's friend, Fuji-pi, and gets flustered whenever he is around. To her dismay, Nagisa is more popular with the girls than the boys. She has a younger brother, Ryouta, who seems to have a crush on Honoka. Aside from Honoka, Nagisa's best friends are Shiho and Rina. She is also considered the life of the party, because of her fun spirit, and her pure heart.

A student in Eikichi Onizuka's class, Tomoko Nomura has a large chest (her cup size is F), but is not too bright, leading to people calling her Toro-ko (Toro meaning "slow" in Japanese; she is nicknamed Slo-mo-ko in the English version). After initially messing up her role in one of Miyabi Aizawa's plans to get Onizuka fired, she is cut off from Miyabi's group. Seeing her rather slow, clumsy nature, Onizuka enters her into a local beauty contest. He even arranges two porn producer friends to dress her up for the competition. Rather than read the given script for the acting category, Onizuka gives her a couple of action figures and she ends up doing an excellent improvised piece (with Vice-Principal Uchiyamada getting an accidental role). In the anime, Onizuka throws a cellphone on stage and she leaves a sentimental message on Miyabi's answering machine instead. She doesn't win, but she gets noticed by several television producers and begins starring in various commercials. Her young male manager, impressed with her natural beauty, and after falling in love at first sight, makes it his lifetime goal to help her succeed.      She was friends with Urumi Kanzaki since childhood, and their close bond likely arose out of their opposite personalities (Tomoko is clumsy and rather docile with a heart of gold, compared to Urumi's intellect and potential to be savagely cruel).      A side-story in the manga features Tomoko and her manager, also called GTO, only it stands for Great Tomoko Oppai (Oppai meaning breasts). In it, Tomoko's manager embarks on one very madcap adventure to save her from her dubious producers. In the live-action, instead of her succeeding dramatically in subsequent episodes, she would part for an Okinawa acting school.

Setsuko completely adores her older brother Seita. She is innocent and cheerful, and at times naïve to the terrors of war around her.

Originally from the school paper, after seeing Raimon play against Teikoku, she became a big fan and decided to be a manager. She is the sister of Yuuto Kidou, however, has not had any contact with him for 6 years. 

Yura appears with a giant hair ball filled with thousands of skulls - her home apparently - and armed with a sword which cuts flesh and bone, but not hair. InuYasha soon discovers that while Yura can be physically injured, she can feel no pain and can easily reattach her severed limbs by using the hairs she controls.

Of all the girls in the Hinata House, she is victimized the most by Keitaro's clumsiness which often results in her being naked, exposed in some fashion, or lying in very suggestive positions. Throughout most of high school she studied hard and became Tops in the nation on the college practice exams in order to get into Tokyo University. Because of her intense study regiment she became majorly short-sighted and has to wear thick "coke-bottle glasses" when not wearing her contacts.

Chiyoko grew up in the middle of World War II Japan, running a sweets shop with her controlling mother, when she is approached by the director of a film studio and is asked to perform in the studio&#039;s upcoming movie. Chiyoko&#039;s mother, without a word from Chiyoko, steps in and bluntly turns them away, calling acting a &quot;dubious profession.&quot;    Later the same day, Chiyoko is accidentally knocked down by a mysterious man running from police officers. Despite his hurried state, he takes the time to help Chiyoko to her feet and apologize for running into her. This act of kindness sticks out to Chiyoko, and so she sends the officers away from the man as he hides. She allows the man to stay in her store room in secret, where he tells her stories of his home, and how he hopes to finish his painting of the snowy landscape, once the war is over. Chiyoko is soon introduced to a skeleton key around the man&#039;s neck, which he addresses as the key to &quot;the most important thing there is.&quot; Chiyoko asks that the man wait until the next day to tell her what the most important thing is.    Unfortunately, this chance never comes. Chiyoko returns to school to find the police discovered the man hiding in her store room, and finds his key outside, covered in blood from the man&#039;s injuries. The store clerk hints to Chiyoko that he fled to the train station, and Chiyoko hurries to follow him. She ultimately does not make it in time to stop him, and makes a promise that she will return the man&#039;s key to him no matter what. This drives her to sway from her mother&#039;s wishes, and Chiyoko begins making movies.

Niea is a lower-class or &quot;under-seven&quot; alien; she has no antennae. She lives with Mayuko and builds spaceships out of junk.

Chiba Atsuko is the head of the DC Mini development team. She also uses the DC Mini to treat patients by entering their dreams as her alter ego Paprika. She does this in secret since the system is still under development, and such unauthorized treatments are illegal.
